  1. 9inch, Yes, I almost pulled the trigger on the zebras. I like the black, too (especially with the red contrast), but already felt I had a lot of black shoes. I also would like to try the other sandals (the ones that tie) in pink, as they looked so amazing when Pata wore them... How well do you walk in them? Gracefully, I can now walk about 3-4 minutes without stopping. Of course this in indoors without the threat of the heel slipping (not on hardwood), but I'm practicing hard...LOL

  2. Not mentioned but also a big help is placing cushions (especially Dr Shoal's gel) in the balls of the foot area in your shoe. Nothing beats a well made and well fitted shoe, though. I don't think I agree with starting really low though. If you are going to practice in your home for strength/agility for your feet, there's no reason to NOT start with 3.5-4" heels. It's like lifting heavier weights in lower reps for strength...just MO though. Also, there are a few you-tube clips about how to properly walk in heels (which technique helps). Good luck and welcome!!

  3. (Knocking on wood as I type)...I one time fell off my 7" plats after getting really drunk. Almost made it all the way back to my gf's car, and I think I did like you did on a pebble. Went down, scuffed a bit, nothing serious...

  4. Excellent thread! Usually I'm not into resolutions as I rarely make them, but... 1. Incorperate, more, the correct attitude in life with regards to public heeling (like Johnieheel, Happyfeat, Jeff B, Kneehighs...etc). Yes, I do go, and just about all my friends, co-workers, and family know about my heeling, but I still get butterflies... 2. Go UP and UP! I want to walk better in ultra high heels (7" or better) and be able to do so in public. I LOVE the feeling of walking in such high heels, and am getting much better at them than I'd ever thought I would have by this time. 3. Have a great pair of custom made, high quality ultra highs made for me. I want to feel the quality of them on my feet... 4. Get to meet all of you fellow heel fanatics! Going to practice in my 7+"ers now, never too early to start...

  5. Any updates? While I have been stretching (to accomidate 7+" heels), I have been careful about over stretching, and thus doing less passive and more strength. Currently, both of my pointes measure about 1 3/4", which is pretty good and seems to help with my ultras. I can almost get my knees straight as I walk...

  6. Thanks. I like to get pampered by lovely ladies at the spa, so don't mind spending the $30. This pedi was from 2 weeks back, so not quite as ravishing as I'd like now. Getting my new one next Wednesday...but liked the fact it went with the new ultras...LOL

  7. Highest, Actually, these are the shoes I got (manu pic below), but for some reason, they fit super. Just got down from 15 more minues of continuous "practice" in them. The only problem I have with regular courts (no strap) is since I am between sizes (9.5US or 7UK), I usually have to get 10's and the back slip off. These shoes say Merry Christmas to me! LOL

  8. Well, the new shoes came in an hour or so ago, and I must say I am very impressed with the service from Sexy-Shoes! The loading port for my camera has been in the fritz since the power went out (surge maybe?), so have to wait until later to send myself the phone camera pics. The heel on them also measure a little over 7", but for some reason, the walkability is far better! I can walk quite well (in the house, of course) in them for quite a while! Even, dare I say, graceful! I think the heel flexes a bit, which helps (I think). The support is also good, as is the fit. I love them! I might actually try 'em out on New Year's! Pics in a few hours. I have to figure out how to take a walking video in them and share, as I am a complete "noddy" (to steal a term from our Brittish friends) when it comes to electronics.
