I work as a bouncer at a club I've always frequented. We have a coat room, and when I'm not working, and want to wear my 6"ers (that I don't want to wear in the street for 4 blocks from the parking spot I have to use), I simply change and put my regular shoes in the coat room. No problem. Yes, while Gay clubs typically are much more open to guys who wear heels (for obvious reasons), most clubs will be dark, and the staff courteous anywhere. Simply bring your heels in and ask the bouncer where you could stash your men's shoes after you change. They will be more than helpful regardless of the kind of club you go to.

Wow, got my ultra's in this morning, and instead of the 6 1/4" heel as advertised, they measure a full 7 1/4"!! Of course, I HAD to practice in my room, even though I didn't even place any padding in yet...LOL They fit fairly well. But, even though I walk a lot, and very gracefully, in 6" heels, I wasn't expecting how tough these would be! After about 45 minutes of stretching, warming up, and such, I managed to be able to walk back and forth across my 20' room 2 times (only the first would be considered graceful-ish) before my feet were just too tired! 15 more minutes of attempts, and I had to stop. Just for yucks I put back on my 6"ers and almost fell backwards as it felt like there was no heel there!! Now, I have 26 days to practice before I wear them to my club's New Year's Eve party, and though I am at least encouraged that I can walk short distances in them, I know there won't be much dancing in these! LOL First stop today before work?? Aldo's for some shoe padding...LOL Wow, I have some serious respect for those who can walk a lot in ultra's over 7"! Figured I'd become a Gold Member with a post about ultra high gold heels!
Off to practice some more... -
Fantastic, My6! Your walk is graceful, and they look great!!

Especially if that's the ham's only connection to the outside world besides work.

Joe, Those are sweet. Look like an Aldo bootie... jk, Great pump. The more straight heel is definately "in" now.

JeffB
you are also an inspiration to me!!
Likewise! Thanks Jeff...

For a thicker heel, those boots are gorgeous!!

The "glide" you speak of I affectionately call the "Pata", and try to emulate it when I walk...

I've only had this problem with lighter material pants, not denim...

This is definately a great thread to read when you get the butterflies prior to going out. Thanks guys!

Dawn...LOL! I told my friend's wife that yesterday...LOL They never believe me, so they always ask me to show them. Good way to be "talked" into slipping on your 6"ers...LOL

Fantastic Dave! But, a size 2?? I'm squeezing into a 14 decently now...LOL Those shoes DO look great with the outfit.

You should tell her that if she wants to borrow your boots, she has to let you wear her heels too. Fair's fair, yes? LOL
-
There are just way too many awsome ones of her, but yes, these are incredible...

Having a friend who hams, and knowing that his house looks like a Radio Station, I can see his point a bit. Plus, knowing my passion for heels, I can see his point even further. Interesting...
