It could be this way, kneehighs. I see this could be the kernel of fetishism than the pleasure for using heels. As you say, it may not apply for everybody. In my case, I sometimes have a certain compulsion to wear and/or buy heels which I believe could more associated to a fetish than to the mere pleasure of using a pair of outstanding shoes, sandals or boots. The compulsion makes me feel it could perfectly fit in the fetish area. Never the less, I enjoy using heels and seeing ladies in beautiful footwear beyond the plain sexual thing.

I would say that driving with any thick sole footwear is tricky. I prefer thin soles when I'm driving as I get more control on the pedals. Security footwear are also very unpleasant for driving, more or less like platforms. I have no problem driving and do so frequently. I don't use very high heels when driving as I usually do it when street-heeling and my usual boots for outings are 3.5" to 4". I've done it with 5" and platforms too, but I prefer single sole shoes.

...however the position or shape of the heel would cause me to look at other brands with the heels placed more under the heel of the foot than the back of the shoe as the Ballin shoes.
well... that's the main issue for a heel to be easy to walk in. The more the heel is placed forward to the line of the ankle, the easier they are to walk. At least that's my experience.
I suppose Dr. Shoe has a professional opinion on that which might be useful.

well, there are these at Biondini

and ones, these are not precisely pumps... but you can get a picture of what I mean.

For me, anything from 10cm (4") would be a high heel. Very high is 12cm or more. It always depends on the size as the heel height is adjusted by size. My 11.4cm heeled pumps in size 41 size are 10.8cm in my wife's size 38.

Absolutely. It happened to me lots of times. Last one was in Winter 2009. I was looking for a pair of OTK boots with 12cm heel at a premium store here in B.A. They were pretty pricey so I decided to wait until the sale. The sale came but my size was no longer available so I couldn't buy them. Well... that's that! Next time: I'll buy at regular price.

Rubber is no the same as leather, my friend. Leather breathes, rubber doesn't. You can wear leather boots in summer; I'd do so in a desert for sure; snakes or scorpions are not very friendly.

I agree with Amanda. Some craftsmanships are totally different to others. This, together with a good design make the difference. Histiletto, those shoes are amazingly beautiful. I like the heel better than the Pigalle as it stands more into the leg's natural line and, surely, it's more comfortable to walk in. ¿Can you post some pictures of yours? They are top in my wishlist together with some Ballin models which are totally to die for.

You've got nothing to loose, Axel. Anyway, it seems to me that you won't find them for £150. Sorry about that. Those were in my 2011's wishlist, but I'll have to wait for my size to appear too.

Thanks for the link, Amanda.

Axel, Farfetch gathers sales from other sites. Maybe you should look at the site Farfetch is pinting out. On the other hand, Farfetch doesn't have the same 'sales' for Argentina -my case- than for UK or USA. So... your search might be a bit broad. I would suggest that you focus on the site where Farfetch points out and look there. In any case, the only Zanotti pumps I see are 10064469 which don't have a platform and have a pointy toe -total TDF, if I may add-. I've seen them at shopbop too; although at a different price.
-
Well, maybe you've got a point there, Gudulitooo.

I believe that the key to a loving relationship is to accept the passions of your loved one. Adopt them or
tolerate them as the case may be.
But do not reject them.
I couldn't agree more, Amanda!
We -me and my wife- have 22 years of marriage. Certainly that's one of the founding stones for a long term relationship.

I make time to use them all. And I second the phrase: "You cannot have too many heels".

She has an interesting blog, Benno. Really nice shoes in her blog, thanks.

Most of the brands that make evening shoes have satin shoes. You can find them, for example, in Badgley Mischka a mid range price designer that has very pretty models. They are in most of the shopping sites. From Endless to Blufly. You shouldn't expect satin shoes to be cheap, though. Check in Shoehunting and maybe you'll find sales links there.

They used to be 535 last year. Now, at Net a porter, you will go for 595. I believe they are the only place you can buy them online other than Louboutin's site. Any way... I have a pair myself. They are as more stunning in real than in the pictures. Mine are 136mm high, not 120mm.

Before buying the boots I had spotted these pumps. They have a 10cm heel.

Bought these on Saturday. The black ones are 7cm high, kind of low but they'll do. Specially for long walks. I was looking for them ever since I saw them but they were always in a caki colour to orange. I found them in black so... into the bag. The short ones are quite cool, a bit snug. I'll have to break them in.

I think he's a bit outdated and, if he wanted to make a trademark of his red soles he should have done it when he started. Now it's too late. Many shoemakers have copied his idea, but that doesn't mean he is original with it. And, on the other hand... he should sew almost 80% of world's brands.

Finally someone has thought of us, jeje.
Although I'm not fond of plats or glitter for street heeling, I must say he has some interesting things:
These are called Lita

And I'd pay 200 for this pair of Area boots surely.

Nice sandals, jdmonto.

Yesterday I bought this booties. 9cm (3.5"). They are from Prüne, the same brand as the previous ones.
Really nice, and comfortable. I'd say ideal for everyday ride, and shopping as they are easy to slip in and out.
There are a couple of pictures from the latter ones as well. Even though I used the flash, light was not the best. We are having some nasty weather here.
Hope you enjoy

If I would rewire anything of my brain -and I have done already...- my taste and use of heels wouldn't be -and actually wasn't- in the list for sure. On the contrary; I started street heeling since the re-wiring as I started to handle with much more inner peace the use of heels. I must thank my wife for her tolerance and acceptance also. I put both tolerance and acceptance because in some things she is accepting, and in others she had to tolerate me and support me too.
