  1. I would never walk on gravel, loose soil, rocks, etc. with any decent pair of heels that I liked; it would only be something that I had no problem trashing. The simple reason is this; you will damage a covered heel badly, or you will scratch a metal one badly. Why do this to something you like???
  2. I just realized that I have a pair of Fredericks of Hollywood red patent thigh high boots with the same tapered or screw like metal high as pussyinboots' heels. I don't find them any more difficult to walk on than other stilettos. As boot shaft is too wide for me, I'll be selling them at some point.
  3. Histiletto, I would have to disagree with you on certain points. A real PROFESSIONAL counselor will not try to steer you or guide you to what they think is the right path but will permit you to grow in your own way. There are excellent ones (PROFESSIONAL), mediocre ones and some that should be out of that business as they can do damage. But it is up to us as individuals to seek out the PROFESSIONAL ones and leave the rest.

Some bad experiences doesn't make the whole barrel bad as I can personally attest. The PROFESSIONAL is worth their weight in gold. You might only find two out of ten that are, but the search is worth it. Through PROFESSIONALs, I found out that my "fetish" is only that, not a harmful thing, just part of who I am. That is how you can make peace with yourself, by discovering who you are, where you came from and where you are going.

Seek out the PROFESSIONAL either by referral or by word of mouth. And if you are not happy with the counselor, move on!!!! But just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean necessarily that they are steering you in a certain direction or want you to be a certain way. You'll find out soon enough what type of counselor they are and if they are not PROFESSIONAL, find one! They are worth their weight in gold.

  4. Leather, pvc, latex, it's all fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, the latex ripped long ago and far away. But the leather and the four pvcs (2 black, one white, one red) are yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Dave, having just passed my 10th Independence Day (March 15th - from a very bad marriage), I am very glad for you that you do not have the bitterness and rancor that I had (and have with the ex - only minimized due to total lack of contact). Keep contact with each other, give each other sufficient space and however it goes, it goes.

But having a bad marriage didn't sour me on relatinships or marriage as I did remarry almost 4 years ago. Leaving on good terms is an excellent way of doing it.

    Good luck!

  6. I find that the sizes are not consistent at all. I wear a US 10.5 consistently; the only difference may be in the sock size (thinner dress or average). However, in women's, I vary from an 11 to 12. Steve Madden 11s I cannot wear; they are much to tight even with pantyhose/stockings for more than say 10 minutes. His 12 fits like an 11.

But Colin Stuart/Victoria's Secret, Style & Co., Nine West are correct with an eleven.

Fetish stuff (Pleaser, etc.) usually fits better in a 12 (but not always either).

So much for size! But I can never wear larger than a 12 as they are too large.

  7. Thanks Jeff,

If things work out as planned, I'll be driving a car to Florida. I have a new pair of black knee high Nine West Gallivant boots that I would most definately wear over the jeans. They are really sharp! When I first saw them, it was like "to die for!"

  8. Well, this morning I went to the Mall to Macy's in my 4" Colin Stuart knee high stiletto brown snakeskin boots (under the jeans not over, but the heel was quite visible). It was a nice sunny day walking across the parking lot and quite bright in the store (few customers when the doors first open). I went here and there, bought this and that and people looked but no one said a word. Not the woman who was next to me at the door before the store opened to the salesgirl at the register.

Then went to DSW and Nine West but that's a different thread.

  9. I went to Nine West Outlet and DSW today to see what they had. I was wearing knee high Colin Stuart brown snakeskin boots with a 4" stiletto heel and had to take them off to try on other stuff.

In Nine West there was only the salesgirl, no one else and she didn't bother me except to say hello when I walked in. Same at DSW except there were a lot more people in there, staff and customers. Although people noticed, no one said anything.

This was the first time that I tried on women's shoes in in the store in years except for the fetish store.
