  1. Something wrong?

I think I have feelings for you but am scared to express it. I need to come to the States and tell you in person. This is the first time using the PM function, so I am not sure if it has worked properly
  2. Jeff! Finally! You look fabulous, hon! That's such a cute skirt, why did you hide it away for so long? Now be bolder and get a cute satin pencil skirt that will really look stylish! Turquoise tights would have completed your look, but a fabulous look nonetheless! Is there something more daring in your wardrobe like a chino skirt to end 2014 with a bang?

Wish I had your confidence, the way you carry yourself and pull of these ensembles is amazing!♡♡♡

  3. Glad you liked the dress. I was very eager to wear it and had fun wearing it because it felt so natural to me. As for a belt, I had thought about one. What would you suggest? Thin or thick? Matte or patent? Same color as the dress or a contrasting color?

Thanks! I simply do the best I can. And yes, I know about OG's support of veterans.

Surprised you, didn't I? HA! Glad you liked the dress. Well, when it comes to wearing anything, be it a dress or skirt or high heels, confidence is important, otherwise, it just doesn't work. As for a non-denim pencil skirt, I'll work on that!

Regarding accessories, I had thought about some sort of jewelry, but the cowl neck did indeed make things tricky as my necklaces and pendants were too short and looked odd. Meanwhile, I do have a long strand of pearls, but I just didn't know how to make it work with that collar, so I decided to go without. I'm already planning for the next dress I buy to be a turtleneck style, that way, I can wear jewelry with it. Oh, yes, I can't wait to wear a dress again!

Thanks for the kind words, and the suggestion. I've always been a slave of sorts to the fashion edict that says one's handbag must match one's shoes, but I'm trying to break free of that edict. I'll do some studying online to find out what color I can pair with black shoes/boots without being overpowering.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad that I've inspired you to buy a dress and to accessorize it to your liking. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

you've inspired me to buy a sweater dress! Its a bodycon one in jet black! I hope you do take on board my advice about non denim pencil skirts! You will ♡♡♡ them, I promise :) the majority are not bodycon, and are very flattering, yet sexy! I dare you to push the envelope and make the break from denim! :silly::wink:
  4. OMG Jeff! You're not wearing denim! I need to sit down :silly: The dress looks fantastic on you, it seems that you are so confident in your attire you don't attract stares etc as before. Sounds like a great jaunt, see how nice non denim clothes are? Now get a regular pencil skirt like mine! looking forward to your next jaunt :)

  5. Hey there, Kilty! Thanks for the pictures! Most interesting indeed!

no worries, glad you like them... just trying to get you to break out of denim as there's a world of lovely skirt materials out there, I just ordered a gorgeous tweed style pencil skirt, I kniw you might prefer denim as the material is a bit more sturdy and doesn't show off too much... er, equipment, but with appropriate underwear that is never an issue... it's not a denim dress by any chance for your next jaunt, is it? :silly:
  6. No problem JeffB!

Jeff, here's an example of a fairly decent pencil skirt that isn't denim, I also liked this Commes des Garcon Men's black pencil skirt, (from newmalefashion site) though I'm sure that it costs a fortune :)

  7. Kilty: Had to Google "bodycon", then chuckled at what I found because I don't think I could make that work.  :lmao:

Meanwhile, you're right about how skirted men isn't quite the event I continue to think it is.

Jeff, although 'bodycon' can be clingy, it can look nice - there are some decent pencil skirts (knee-length) when worn with a decent pair of tights looks quite nice and not too over-the-top... I'm not saying

trashy like Kim Kardashian but as you've seen in Google there's quite a variety - from mini skirts to dresses

Though I do prefer your pencil skirts to the longer flowing  A-line cut - it just looks a bit.... mature for my tastes. A decent pencil skirt or peplum dress is better, in my view... There are some nice calf-length

pencil skirts out there as well as cargo skirts - so there's quite a variety. As regards reactions, people are so wrapped up in their lives they're not really bothered with whatever a guy chooses to wear. I don't get stares

anymore if I'm dressed well. I don't go in for a lot of accessories like handbags or jewellery, but you always pull the look off well when you do! :pulsingheart:  :pulsingheart: :pulsingheart:

Still, looking forward to your next jaunt in a dress...

  8. Jeff, I like the skirt's colour, but not the skirt itself :nono: Hoping the dress in the next jaunt is more flattering, I think pencil cut or bodycon is a better fit for you as it shows off those fabulous legs and butt of yours :silly:

Skirted men is not so much of an event as before, so no adverse reactions should unsettle us... it's all in our minds...

Looking forward to your next jaunt

  9. Looking good as always, Jeff ♡

Conversely I decided to forego tights on a trip to the shops, just a plain grey pencil skirt with some brown boots. It was a little bit fresh on my legs but the boots kept me warm. Save for a group of giggling school girls, it was uneventful. Perhaps people have finally embraced the man skirt look, a proper skirt looks so much smarter than those silly bits of material celebrities wear over their tight jeans :silly:

You sure love that black pencil skirt of yours... You really should try one like mine, its a lot warmer as its lined, meaning that if you feel daring you can forego a slip when it's warmer  Looking forward to your next jaunt as always

  10. Good for you, Kilty! I'm sure you put together a nice outfit. Meanwhile, I've bought a few pairs of tights for the upcoming chilly weather to come.

I went shopping for some tights and underwear today, I wore my new skirt, but was surprised by how no one gave a damn... I was expecting something, but nothing! Even with boots and grey tights on, nothing! Perhaps people really don't care anymore!
  11. Jaunt #242, 10/18/2014:

I've said numerous times that I study what women wear and try to emulate what I see, and that was the case with today's outfit. Three days ago, I saw a thirtysomething woman in the supermarket wearing a denim jacket over a black top and black pants. Looking at that woman, I was intrigued with her ensemble and figured I could creat something along those lines for an outing, so I went out in my denim jacket over a black scoop neck t-shirt, my black denim pencil skirt, the Payless “Karmen” pumps in black and a black handbag. All things considered, I thought the outfit worked well and looked good on me, meanwhile, after all those previous outings spent in flats, it certainly felt great to wear a proper pair of heels again.

My first stop of the day was downtown and my friendly neighborhood comic shop, having parked little over half a block away from the shop, I got to enjoy a little walk while enjoying the delightfully sharp and loud clicking of my heels on the pavement which made me smile, after fifteen or so minutes in the shop, I headed to a newspaper stand little over a block away to play the Powerball Lottery, it was pleasant to have strolled the streets, crowded with people, none of whom paid me any mind, despite how I was dressed, and that was cool. Returning to my car, I drove over the bridge into South Jersey and headed to Wendy's near the Moorestown Mall where I enjoyed their new BBQ pulled pork hamburger which was mighty good. Next, I swung over to Home Depot as I needed to buy a new smoke detector, two young boys with their father each gave me a puzzled look (it's usually young kids who take notice and stare most) but nothing more than that, then it was off to Barnes & Noble for some quiet time spent reading sci-fi magazines for some forty five minutes before leaving with an anime magazine. Next up was Best Buy, the store was plenty crowded for a Saturday afternoon but I went ignored during the thirty plus minutes I was in there before buying the Blu-Ray version of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

My last stop of the day was to Sears for a little shopping to close my outing. Even though I own well over forty skirts, I never hesitate to buy something that catches me eye, and two skirts I saw did just that and I bought them, adding to an already considerable pile along with a nice looking sweater. With any luck, I hope to show off the new acquisitions pretty soon. More to come....

You've convinced me to buy a black denim pencil skirt! Mine's a little longer, comes to my knee when standing but it is so comfortable and stylish when teamed with black knee high boots!  :silly: Time to wrap up warm, winter's coming!

  12. As folks here who follow my thread well know, I've had, for lack of a better term, a fetish for wearing long skirts this summer. I've come to love how they look on me, how they swish about my ankles and calves as I walk, and how feminine they make me feel. So, when I saw a nice long print skirt at Burlington Coat Factory on Thursday for all of $19.99, I just had to have it.  But when I got back home and put it on, I honestly had no idea the damn thing had the wingspan of an NBA center! I'm not kidding, as you can see in the pic below, this skirt is ridiculously voluminous, spanning close to seven feet across.... and I LOVED it! This is perhaps the most incredible skirt I've ever worn, and I can't wait to take it out for a spin!

Absolutely beautiful skirt you've got there Jeff!

Here are a couple of my recent skirt purchases:

This floral skirt is from Oasis in their current sale:

I was so pleased to find the denim skirt in the sale that I also bought a cute pair of flats to go with it:

    attachicon.gifdenimskirt3.jpg

Loving the floral skirt! I looked on Oasis' site, and it looked a little too short for me  but how did you find a longer one? The denim one is cute as well

  13. Great look as usual Jeff, the skirt looks masculine, kind of like what every guy wishes he can wear, but most don't have the guts to. Because you dress well, I am not surprised by zero reactions you received. People are getting used to the idea that a man too can look good in a skirt! You looks great with it as always. I am not surprised you just blended in, even in bright red shoes! I quite like the jacket, too. The patterned skirt sounds interesting, have you just got a pencil skirt like one of mine I wear to work?

Looking forward to your next jaunt, show us that gorgeous skirt too, as I am always looking for fashion tips!

  14. Jeff, not a bad look but grey is never going to set the world on fire... Perhaps the A line skirt is a little... er, mature so it didn't set hearts racing. A cute knee length pencil skirt of the same material would have gotten more attention, and gals wanting to emulate your style. Perhaps one does not want to dress like Kim Kardashian but it takes the right bit of cheese to catch the mouse  I keep telling you to try a non denim one, which would show off those fabulous legs and butt of yours, but you seem shy. Perhaps I need to come over to Philly and we do a weekend shopping, makeup and the whole deal :silly:

Jokes aside, I think everyone was just too wrapped up in their own lives for it to register, and in the world of Vine and Instagram, they've seen men in skirts before and are used to the trend. I always dread that some people may be trying to 'unsee' me, but perhaps that's because I feel a little self conscious about my body at the moment.

    I felt for this guy...

    https://vine.co/v/MLPp95XQlMX/

but I liked his skirt :)

  15. The denim look is good! I ordered a new skirt off eBay and it was a size too big when it came, and more like a 14 than a 10 :nono: so no new clothes for me just yet...

But I think denim pencil skirts are the way forward after trying the more formal look. The formal ones are okay but denim suits a guy more. You totally rock this

  16. Jeff, haven't heard from you in a while, thought you would be out on a jaunt this weekend... I bought a new denim skirt, 21 inch and took it for a spin in a short trip to the shops with some cute tights and blue wedges. Looking forward to getting some fashion tips from you soon. Don't be a stranger!
