  1. You cant hand any boots over to me? I just made do with my brown ones today on a shopping trip. I wore these thick tights as an experiment with contrasts, with my new skirt (I didn't realise how revealing the slit at the back was! Felt a little vulnerable showing off so much leg despite the skirt's length ), black blouse and grey cardigan. Some schoolboys tried to take a picture, I just smiled at them and put my hands on my hips and posed. I'm not ashamed of my freestyling either!

Looking forward to your next jaunt ;-)

  2. I noticed your haircut, then your bracelet before looking at your skirt... Denim is versatile, so when I am out and about, a smart denim skirt is just fine, but for something more formal, I would wear either wear a skirt suit or a pencil skirt for the office with some nice stockings and pumps. I still have some trousers but hardly wear them having packed them away in storage, and I am looking to treat myself to a dress soon. My shoe collection is growing, and I am saving up for some thigh high boots. I saw this guy on Lookbook and quite like his style too. So many choices! What size boots are you? Any old ones you can pass to me? :silly:

    Great ensemble :)

  3. Thanks for the kind words Jeff! It arrived today. It was a snug fit and I loved the way it clung to my waist and showed off my legs! I teamed it with some 30 denier black tights and my favourite knee high black boots, but went for a navy cardigan, as I went on a short errand. I went to the pharmacy to get some medications, I have had this ongoing thing with my care team to see if I could have hormone treatment. Still ongoing but I treated myself to some patterned tights in the meantime.

You must try these pencil skirts, so much nicer not having that denim seam down the front! The vent at the back is a little bit revealing but no two pencil skirts are the same. I ♡♡♡ these and am going to order some more! :silly:

Looking forward to your next jaunt

  4. Jeff, I thought I'd show you what I just ordered on eBay - I can't for some reason paste the link, hence one of the pics in the link address. I think you would look fabulous in this - it is quite

stretchy, but it's so snug and warm, especially as winter is approaching. Team it with some thick tights to keep nice and warm! It's a little out of your comfort zone, but just as you successfully

managed to break free from polo shirts, a more common type of pencil skirt is a must for all Fashion Freestylers!

Feel a bit of a hypocrite suggesting this as I sit here posting this reply in a denim pencil skirt myself :nono: but as they say at SkirtCafe denim is invisible, so I wore it to the internet café. No adverse comments or reactions. Interestingly, Will Smith's son Jayden is quite a Freestyler himself - see these pictures of him in a jumper dress - though the Daily Mail preferred to say, he ditched his trousers and wore a long top...

Nice to see you might consider a different pencil skirt - they look good and I think it would suit your wardrobe - Your Khaki and Tan chino skirts don't count! :silly:

  5. Sorry for the threadkill, I got a bit carried away - I forgot to take my meds with my meal so I went a bit overboard  I liked your ensemble, but perhaps other pencil skirts aside from denim could be on your horizon in the near future?

Looking forward to the next jaunt :)

  6. Lovely skirt! I told you pencil skirts are addictive :pulsingheart: How about a non-denim one (not khaki though) and really push the envelope? There's some really nice navy gabardine cotton pencil skirts (I think 21 inch would suit you) on ebay right now. I've got my eye on a satin black one :) Denim is all good but it's nice to have more varied wardrobe ;-) I prefer my smarter skirts to zip at the back, zips at the front are not much use when nature calls as they are often too short, it's just easier to pull my skirt up to my waist and sit, and I think jeansy looking skirts are too casual, but that's just my opinion.

Interesting that you rarely note people's reactions as much as you did before - I think the 'manskirt' will be the next big thing (even if it is at this stage worn with trousers which for me defeats the object :nono: ) :)

Looking forward to your next jaunt ;-)

  7. TBG, I am in love with those cute boots and that gorgeous skirt in your last pic! :pulsingheart: Very chic. I feel so frumpy all of a sudden :penitent: you sure know how to dress!

I'd try thigh high boots but I wouldn't want the tops of the boots to be too loose around my thighs, but the same way, not too tight. I guess I'd have to find a balance. I would just feel a bit nervous trying them on in a store, but I will

have to try overcome that, I guess.

Great ensembles! You've inspired me :pulsingheart::princess:

    K

  8. I've just ordered some of them just now, as some of my tights are getting bobbly and I might as well buy some before winter hits  I was planning to get some stockings but the material seems too sheer like I could easily put a nail thru it...

so I bought some nearly black 10 denier hold ups instead, whilst buying underwear earlier. They say they are ladder resistant, I guess I'll find out later :)

    Loving the ensembles, Jeff :)

  9. Cute, but I'd wear slightly thinner (lower denier) leggings or footless tights with the skirt, or a more contrasting colour skirt, they do some cute corduroy skirts on ebay, a nice knee-length corduroy pencil skirt will be practical and flattering, especially with autumn on its way

  10. I will follow your advice. Since I only wear skirts on my outings, leggings with something as short as you described would indeed be essential.

black underwear would be fine with a skirt that short, black briefs. But for me, it's a little too daring. I think any skirt under 19 inches is too short for me, I would struggle to control it, though a naughty part of me still toys with the idea of a skater skirt... Kudos to you though! Looking forward to your next jaunt
  11. Loving that cute top! It would go so well with my new pencil skirt I bought the other day :) It's nice the sales people were so professional and polite, the skirt suits you, though I prefer something shorter to show off my legs whilst the weather is good. Shoes are super cute and I'm digging the necklace ♡♡♡

  12. Jeff, bravo! Much prefer this skirt, though I'd be scared of wardrobe malfunctions if a few buttons popped open at the front of the skirt.

I didn't mean any offence, I guess I dress like younger women (not strictly true as they have an aversion to knee length denim skirts, it seems) I just find ankle length skirts a hassle, from stepping over things, to having to answer the call of nature... it's just easier with knee length.

I aim to try and get well, but the wardens here say I will be here for 'some time', so I'm not worried. Everything's paid for, so I'm in no hurry to go and look for work. Though I'm building up a decent wardrobe, more business casual as that's the look I prefer. Some denim, and some cute jeans too. Though some of the medication affects my balance, so no 'killer heels'for now... :(

Jeff, well done with your jaunts, you are an inspiration. I went out to the shops in a denim skirt today, the bulge in the zip is just that I didn't pull my skirt down and smooth it at the front after it rode up a little :nono:, my tummy control briefs keep everything else in order.  I've lost some weight and can get into a size 10 again which is great! I also spoke to my therapist about getting me on more suitable medications that don't make me put on weight and make me so lethargic, and she said she would start to review it and discuss with the care team at the next meeting at the end of the month!

more sensible heels with this skirt, leather boots :)

Looking forward to your next jaunt ;-)
  13. Hi, been lurking for a while, not here go hijack the thread, but want to say you look fabulous, that top is to die for! I've been thru a lot in the past year (stopped the hormone treatment as it didn't agree with me, It was bootleg / fake), started psychotherapy as I had lots of mental issues and have been diagnosed with a form of paranoid schizophrenia, sadly they don't see me qualifying for any hormone treatment as estrogen interacts with the heavy stuff like Citralopram they have me on.

Sorry for the thread I posted last year, I didn't meet anyone, but you are my role model ♡♡♡

Your outfits look great, though I prefer the shorter pencil skirts that show of your fabulous legs and ass to the more 'grannified' look of late. Thankfully the Independent Living complex embraces my choice of clothing, and I'm saving up for some wedges like yours to team with a cute skirt ♡

Looking forward to your next jaunt, don't leave it so long, hon!

  14. Hon, haven't read any jaunts from you for a while, I thought I would drop by the forum (life for me is rapidly changing), how are things? Loving your style, am always looking for fashion tips. Though I am on the more TS/TG forums, I find the dress styles way too over the top. Was hoping you'd post some more jaunts, hoping my experience didn't unsettle you. ♥ Keisha

  15. Even if I risk getting banned from this forum....sorry if I sound too harsh, but that just sounds to me like a made up story.

Just a week ago, you hadn't seen a doctor before, and you didn't take hormones. Now you have seen a doctor, started hormones and are already a B-cup... this is totally bogus.

The Switzerland guy is just the icing on the cake...

It's not up to me if you get banned or not but it is disappointing to be mocked when I am going through quite a life-changing event.

Things didn't work out with the guy on the internet, but my head is all over the place. If you really must know about my boobs (strange enquiry on a High Heel forum) I am an A-cup, but used some 'chicken fillets' (fillers) in a bra that was a B-cup (this is not the place for pictures :nono: ) - I had been on the hormones for a while (bought off the internet), I need not go into detail on duration, but enough for changes to begin. I just confirmed what I already felt like with my doctor, so at least now the supply is a little more legitimate. My skin feels softer than before but I don't like the fact I get easily irritated than I did before. The downside is it makes me queasy if I get too tired.

Perhaps having had major events happen to me in such rapid succession has pushed me in this direction. I'm not here to explain or make excuses for myself. Fashion wise, I'm feeling easier now, and wear skirts or dresses most days. I have joined a TG Forum where I feel such discussion is more appropriate.

To those who do care, thanks for your kind words and support. I will drop in from time to time.

    All my :pulsingheart:

    Keisha

  16. Thanks for the kind words. This has been so tough for me, I have nowhere to go. I went to my sister and told her everything, she said she had an idea for a while about the heels and clothing, so it felt good to come out. I went to the doctor and have started hormones, and am living full time as a woman. I know it is irreversible but I had been living a lie as a man, I tried everything to fit in with stereotypes (aside from the flash cars)... The wife wasted no time in replacing me, and when I went to the house, there was a BMW 3 Series parked in the drive... I think its a former work colleague. I wore some Aldo heels and a simple shift dress (not enough makeup though) and when I rang the door bell he opened it and took one look at me and burst out laughing. I never felt so humiliated. I fled, sobbing ( l have been so weepy since I started the treatment but I hear it's normal, on the plus size, I see some changes to my body. Girls in my family have quite ample busts and I am already approaching a B cup but that's not a conversation for here). I am going to move abroad and start a new life in Switzerland, near Zurich. I have met a great guy online and he seems so understanding, I am still taking it one step at a time, but this is my life now as a confident woman. Thanks for all your kindness, I may still drop in on the forum now and then. Heels have opened up a new way of life for me ♥♥♥ Take care, Keisha♡

  17. I had been under immense pressure in the job, it was constant targets to meet. Also the Mrs wanted me to be earning more and want a better lifestyle. We live on a rough housing estate and like many, yearn to 'get out of the hood'. I think the interest in heels, then later skirts may have been the final straw for my wife, as it's not what most black guys do, especially where I live. She loved all those silly TV shows like the Kardashians and loved the lifestyle. I said to her, look we have a car, we don't need something flashy that would just get stolen where we live (a Vectra Di 16v does the same thing as a Mercedes or BMW). She had been mixing in higher circles, and been looking down on our life and the people in our area. I said I'm an individual. When she found out I was fired (I called her, sobbing, saying what happened) she said she's never coming back, and called me an 'embarrassment'. She's not saying where she is now. I thought about the Transitioning, I guess it might have been a term used by them to refer to a point when an employee has no further use, and it's time to kick them out. They were considering a Zero Hours contract, I asked them about that on Friday afternoon, called them 6 times, and they said they were irritated by my calls and next time I do they would call the police.

So that's the end of that then. No job or family, all for the sake of heels. Mixing it with work was a bad idea. If it had been a kilt this never would have happened. It seems the kilts were accepted by HR but I went too far with the skirts and heels. Perhaps jeans and heeled boots would have been okay, so this was my doing and my fault.

As one poster said these things end in suicide, esp if I had the sex change. I don't know where I will go from here. I don't know if I am genderfluid, I have been reading up on things on Tumblr and identify with that. My insurance should pay out if I set fire to the flat but make it look like an electrical fault, so that will get me better housing elsewhere and out of the hood.

I'm sorry if I'm thinking aloud, it's the way everything's happened so quickly. As for seeking legal recourse, I can't as I was on a final warning for gross misconduct (had a fight with someone at a exhibition where our firm had a stand after they criticised the quality of our lighting products. I wasn't skirted or wearing heels then...), my anger issues stem from when I was picked on as a kid and I vowed never to let anyone mess with me in later life, but I can't draw the balance.

I wish I could turn back time but I think it's too late.

It's nice to hear your kind words but I think the genderfluid life, and perhaps seeing how Scrappy Coco does with his/hers may be the way to go from here.

    K

  18. Well, that took the wind out of my sails after such a positive start.

After last Friday's successful (well in my view) trip to work skirted (I remind you I've been in kilts before on a dress down Friday), I thought I'd do it one day earlier, and teamed it with a pair of black Ralph Lauren heels (pix to follow) and grey tights and black pencil skirt. Going to work, I was prepared for any sniggers, looks etc, but as it was cold I had my hat on, and scarf and coat done up (rather like this guy  )

At the bus stop, I had my iPod so didn't bother to listen to what people may think, as I got into work, the security guy on the desk said 'Halloween's been and gone, mate' and told me I had to use a temporary pass for the day (wasn't sure why but just went with it - the passes have been playing up for a while), and took my one off me, saying he had to 'upgrade' it :penitent:

When I got in the manager from the Northern office was looking after our team as my usual boss was on holiday, and said to me 'Mate, we need to have a little chat if that's okay. Get a cuppa first, and meet me in the conference room in 10'

Silly me I assumed it was about a new rollout of kit we have for one of the new contracts we've started recently.

A few did say to me in the office that they said I looked smart, and wish they had the balls to dress like I did. One guy called it my 'straight grey kilt' another just called it a 'manskirt' which I thought was cool. I know very few here (unless working from home) heel, let alone skirt, so I felt I had pushed the envelope enough on the last outing.

Who do I see sitting in the office with this manager, but the HR lady. She said I looked 'nice', and wanted me to take a seat (so I did, and sat, legs crossed). The HR lady said 'you don't have to feel on edge, we just wanted to have a discussion regarding your dress which is certainly.... different'

I knew this might have been tough. Apparently someone complained in an email saying that I am affecting the credibility of the business in the manner of dress I have chosen. I countered, that last Friday, she herself said I looked smart! The Northern manager, unsurprisingly said that 'most blokes wouldn't leave their front door in a skirt', to which I said 'I'm not most blokes, I don't believe clothing has a gender.'

He offered no response to that, but then all of a sudden the HR lady said that they had been thinking to make some changes to my department and merge some roles, and this seemed the right time since a recent acquisition. She said 'we think we've come up with a suitable settlement for you' which seemed strange :penitent: then I realised they're giving me the boot (sadly not a heeled one)

I was told I had to accept it or walk away with nothing, and that in the light of such complaints, my final day is this Friday. She said 'we understand if you don't wish to work today if you feel uncomfortable'.

So that's how my day went yesterday, I cleared my desk, one of the Agency temps called me a 'battyman' and said he's 'glad' I've gone (I hear they've offered him my role as he'd been contracting for over a year). :irked:

So, stitched up, in the name of fashion freedom. But I tell myself not to give a damn and be strong. It was a difficult journey home, and here I sit figuring what to do next. I have my black boots on with a black denim skirt having changed when I got back. What the HR lady said about 'transitioning' made me think, but my head is all over the place. Things at home haven't been great, and the Mrs walked out after a row about some panties she'd found which weren't hers, and thought I was having an affair (they were mine :penitent: ). I love the heels but I think I want more than that in my wardrobe.

I am not sure where I go from here, I filled out a CV and applied for some Admin work. I might look into the TS/TG forums to consider my next move. Scrappycoco who used to post here has a tumblr page which really made me think about genderfluid fashion.

Thanks guys, it's been good, but I think I'm moving on.

    Kilty (aka Keisha) :pulsingheart:

  19. Amazing account.  Thanks for sharing it with us. What did your HR person says after you explained that you just liked skirts?

She was not surprised having seen the kilts for the last 5 weeks  though I'm just going to stick to dark colours, grey, black, navy, mostly knee length pencil. I think that's the most sensible style for me. Other styles are a bit too femme for my liking, though I might look for a nice tartan pencil skirt soon... I'll intermix it with my kilts and trousers... I was surprised it was such a non event... though I will still tread carefully... The Mrs doesn't quite like the skirts, having just gotten used to the kilts. Its the "what will others think?" that holds her back. Still, I have met neighbours kilted and skirted, no problem. I have a smart denim kilt, and a black denim skirt that goes unnoticed by most. This year's UK X Factor has a band, Rough Cooy, where one member is skirted or kilted, he's taken that as his look, so people are getting used to 'manskirts'
  20. Yes, I would also be interested in learning what the reaction from co-workers will be like!

On the Friday, there were gasps... even heading to work took a lot of psyching up, got a seat on the bus after a young lad got up, that was sweet. But then proceeded to stare at me, and took out a phone to try and take a snap of me, but I just put my bag on my lap. I was sat by the window, some schoolkids found it amusing first of all, but soon lost interest. Once at work, I got teased, most said 'I've not seen that kind of kilt before' (it was a plain grey pencil skirt) but one guy said I had guts to wear such an outfit.

One of the ladies from HR had come over from another department, and she said that although she was surprised, she had to admit it was fairly modest and a skirt actually suited me! :pulsingheart:  :pulsingheart:  :pulsingheart: That surprised me. Sadly it was misconstrued, as she asked me that if I was thinking of 'transitioning', I could always call them for a chat and they could tactfully break it to the team. :surprised: Taken aback, I said no, I just find skirts more comfortable than trousers, but it's not to replace trousers completely. It's just another option in my wardrobe. With more celebrities taking on the 'manskirt', I guess they will see more of such fashions in the near future.

Aside from the guy staring at me whilst heading to work, the day, in all was a success :rocker: It's done wonders for my confidence! Though I need to buy some more thicker tights as winter's coming :penitent:

  21. Yes JeffB does pull it off with ease but don't think at work. Just out and about around Philly.  Not knowing where or what you do at work you are the only one that would know if this can be done without jeopardizing your job. Have to keep that in place to afford new clothing/shoes.

I wouldn't mind a full shot of that skirt but I know how hard it is to photo yourself while holding the camera/phone.

Getting your boots repaired shouldn't be an issue as long as you can find a good shoe repair shop.  They seem to be disappearing. This summer I had a pair of zippers replaced in my ankle harness boots for a really decent price once I found a local cobbler.  Good luck!

    Jim

    Jim,

Here's a shot of the skirt, I hadn't any tights on yesterday, though I think I won't wear it to work just yet. A kilt I can get away with.

I'd love the day where this isn't such an issue for guys. Though things are very slowly changing... bored so messing about with Photoshop...

This morning, it's a simple plain grey skirt (a bit of a squeeze as its a 10) and a knitted green top. Here's a side shot of the skirt.

I'm wearing a denim kilt to work this Friday, and perhaps next week a denim skirt, and see if they register :silly: Kilty

  22. I've been low key for a while but I have been out skirted for a while. I've been meaning to get my shoes re-heeled, but at least I finally found a decent skirt for winter! Its a smart pinstripe pencil in a 12 (I've put on weight), and have plan to wear it on dress down Fridays to work. They've seen my black kilt so I will be pushing the envelope with these boots but JeffB pulls the look off with ease. Not sure if the "office skirt" is too formal and I should just go with a plain black denim one  Sorry if the pics come out at a funny angle, its my phone... post-15255-0-35979100-1383557496_thumb.jpost-15255-0-79599700-1383557524_thumb.jpost-15255-0-51250600-1383557605_thumb.j Also, is it easy to get some boots repaired? My black ones have split from the sole, a small hole has appeared at the side. Kilty
