1. We Australian's fluked one gold, ok, the domino effect last person standing. We also won another on merit women's aerial skiing. Total two gold amazing for a country that's lucky to have snow. Ice Hockey, didn't the Canadians invent that, should be like the US in basketball, dreamteam stuff - unbeatable. Did I say that. B) PS Did our 'HG and Roy' (Ice Dream) get any coverage, amongst some average stuff some of their stuff is quite good. Sorry firefox they seemed to concentrate or getting mileage out the curling program, ie make a boring sport humourous. B) Inga

 2. Hiya, Janice, myself being a lawyer (attorney for those in the US), the result is understandable, it's all about facts and usually they become pretty blured because not everything is written down at the time of the incident. Result, usually, apportionment of blame. I also got the impression you might have been a bit in the face, still no excuse for him to do what he did. On clothes, a lot of guys can wear some ladies jeans (qualify - not the ones I wear skin tight low waisted - the potato breaks up the line), however shirt/blouse nice and fitted with bust darts etc no way - they would look daggy at least I know I,ve still got things in the way of attire that ain't for the guys. Shoes well I'm not fussed. It's all about being yourself. Inga

 3. My job by and large involves sitting down, reading great boring slabs of legal trash, trying to make head and tail of it, then typing up an opinion. Moving around yeah I move around every ½ hour or so, go for a short walk and chat for a couple of minutes. Walk around at lunch and when doing out of office activities for my employer. Inga

 4. Hiya, Firefox, Jeff etc. Don't totally disagree with you, I'm not : either. Probably my saving grace is that I do wear classic suits to interviews etc and don't totter around in heels (after 20 years I'm a bit of an expert) probably explains why I can get away with it, most I admit can't. Oh and generally the heels I wear in such situations are black, pretty conservative. Jeff good on for not wearing a tie, I suppose most of the guy's in my field (Law) do, and I have noticed the IT guy's dress in a more relaxed manner, good on them B) Agree Firefox nobody tell's me what to wear either. xx Inga

 5. Oh another thing, my field of work occasionally involves representation in the public eye, ie, in a law court. Yep, I'm there in my 4 inch plus heels and have never had any adverse comments or infact comments made by the judiciary and they can be masters of cynicism. Mind you they can't see your footwear during proceedings as usually great slabs of wood block any view. Afterwards they can, but they're probably too carried away with other things to notice. xxx Inga

 6. Hiya guys, me just having a sticky . I'm suprised Firefox, no 4 inch heels for a woman at an interview, as I said in the gal's forum (same thread) I've been to about 30 interview's everyone in 4 inch and above heels, and was succesful in getting the position 25% of the time. Also, love that gas, anyone remember the Gas Cooker sketch (MPFC) think they used coal gas then, in Aust we were just coming off it. What was it "that til be murder you'll have area supervisor around in 10 mins" or something to that effect. Oh and ties, suppose they're a bit conservative but it's part of men's suiting, agree they are a bit off, glad I don't have to wear one. Inga B)

 7. Also, in reference to car's, in Australia as most of us live near the coast, (infact around 70% of Australians live on the east coast between Melb and Sydney) the old tin worm syndrome strikes, result half the doors in older car's are GRP. Don't I know about this I once owned an Alfa Romeo, boy did they rust (certainly failed the old fridge magnet test). Currently I own a Honda Integra or Acura Integra in USA (gals sportscar), they don't rust. Inga

 8. Can't believe this B) , hope you had plenty of nail polish remover (acetone) to get all the stickies off your skin. NP remover also is really really good at drying your skin. I only use it on my finger and toe nails, not on my skin or try not to get it on my skin, but it's been there hence my knowledge on it as a drying agent. Hope you did it in a well ventilated space. Vapours are pretty strong! Inga  _________________ Platforms are for standing on, not for walking in. [ This Message was edited by: IHeels on 2002-02-22 14:30 ]

 9. Hiya all, I don't have any problems walking around in heels all day, I've only been doing it for 20 years. Standing still for any length of time yeah does make my feet tired, to avoid this I never stand still for any length of time, I suppose I do a lot ankle rocking backwards forwards, and from side to side. My style of shoe varies from pump to boot, most on my heels are stiletto the magority being around 5 inches, in fact the lowest I ever wear is 4 inches. 10. I admit I do wear jeans, however I always have the length so that at an absolute minimum ½ the heel shows, preferably more (ie 4 inch, 2 to 3 inches exposed). Not into roadscraper jeans either. Fortunately my legs are pretty long so I'd have to see a tailor anyhow to turn my jeans into roadscrapers, so its not a problem I encounter when purchasing such. Inga

 11. The fact I never wear anything lower than 4 inches must mean I've worn heels to a job interview. In my current field of employment I've been promoted 7 times and along the way have probably been to 20 interviews always in heels and on occasion 5½ inch heels. Mind you, I don't think selection committees see much of the heels given there's usually a great slab of wood between you and them, commonly known as a table. May'be the HH might be offset a little in that I always wear classic ladies business suits to work, I have about 20 suits. 12. Totally agree, what more can I say. For someone who owns about 50 - 60 pairs of heels with a minumum height of 4 inches and only owns two pairs of flats, one pair of training shoes for gym and one pair of cleated cycling shoes for my bike the site is wonderful. It allows me to share my passion for shoes, fashion and have a bit of fun. Inga

 13. Totally agree Laurie, I was yeah, a bit different, sort of smart really more cunning and into fashion moving toward the edge, platforms were a definite no-no for me. So modem man should re-assess his style, anyhow it's his choice. Inga
