Interesting idea. Your geography may be a bit lacking. Yeah whilst Aus ladies who reside in the bush may be a bit more conservative, still think there are plenty out there who wear there heels, not for work, but for special occ's . Its not like Iran etc. You just have too look at the Aus private schools that take borders on, where are these people from 'the bush' and where's the school, Toorak or Vaucluse upmarket & trendy areas of Melbourne and Sydney. Anyhow after all this tripe good to see you've given the eastcoast a red dot, that where I'm from. Inga

Yeah, you're right its hard to buy 7 inch heels, the extreme heels I own were purchased from store in Aus, the owner I think imports the stock from Pierre Silber. I've actually enquired about 7 inch heels and found I would have to place a special order - oh no!!! Special orders are just not for me as I will only purchase if they fit.

I suppose the six inch Oxfords are after 1000 post or something like that. Anyhow I'm a chatter so probably get there. Inga

Well said Laurie, post post post... lokks like I'm heading for a promotion also!
-
Laurie, the sizes I mentioned above are European: 40-40½ 9-9½UK So I'm at the top end of the normal range.

Hiya Laurie, I like the way you describe your feet, I'm 5' 9" and wear shoe size 40 to 40½ my feet also aren't hairy but they do have relatively high arches. The highest I possess is 6½ inches and yep I can walk in them but its all a bit slow. I think you would qualify, try rolling a tennis ball around under your foot arch this helps flexability. A bit a practice and your there - 7 inches but with I suspect very small steps. Also first go out and get a pair, I suspect you have yet to acquire such. Inga

I can't believe this, if the shoe fits then its unlikely one will get bunions. Anyhow this topic seemed to encourage one idiot on Jenny's site, think the moderators eventually banned him.

No way, stockings only, socks - I hate to say look tarty! Inga

My collection everyday. Elsewhere, the places where I purchase my shoes, predominantly Zomp Melbourne. By the way the staff at Zomp by and large wear heels.

Yeah, knee boots but not thigh boots. Too hot in Australia.

Just to catch up for my very first meesage, here it is again: Anything 4 inches and above, and no platforms (agree with you Deb). Though I do prefer stil style heels. Inga

*I enjoy the feel of the height and walk. 9 *Fashion - an indispensible accessory. 10 *For the extra height and confidence. 7 *A way to emphasise my femmininity. 10 *I am sexually stimulated by wearing them. 3 *A useful tool to attract nice guys to me. 7

There's a lot of good points here, but I agree with Deb's most as I can't fathom societies that treat us (ladies) as bits of machinery! On the other side having a legal background don't you think the evidence is a bit contrived to get Osama, for example, video clips of Osama making statements, yeah its not hard to insert (dub) the text you want people to hear. My first pair are long gone, however I was about 14 or 15, they had a 3½ inch stiletto heel. Inga

I purchased a pair of 5½ inch patent pumps with steel heel ultra slim the other day, I can't say more than I think there sensational. Was inspired by one of Judy's posts on Jenny's site's board. Inga

I forgot to say hiya yesterday, yeah and despite having lots (17) forums, the board is great. Hey, and so far people are posting responsibly, not spamming etc, which is good to see. IngaXXX

I agree with Deb, I might have expressed my opinion before, here it is again - platforms urggggghhhh! They're only for the 'jack em and stack em' brigade as so quaintly referred to by Laurie. Also they lack class! Inga

I'm a fashion victim, the only thing that saves me is I have a reasonable disposable income. Shoe shops, in Melbourne "Zomp" South Yarra great Italian numbers, and for ultra HH "Shoecraft".

Hiya, I did ballet when I was younger and still remain flexible, I also have high arched feet, yet 6½" is an upper limit - OK for the odd occasion when you dont have walk any distance. 5½" now these I can wear all day and even run a bit if I'm feeling stupid. 7" forget it unless you are the owner of monster feet. Inga

In Melbourne Australia if you are in an average shopping mall, unfortunately not many people wear heels. However, in the high fashion retail areas (eg South Yarra) most (75%) ladies wear heels , 3 inch and upward. In the main a chunky heel style, ie block, is most common. Only a few me included consistantly wear 5 inch. Inga

I live in a city of just under 4 million and would love to have the title of premier HH woman. It's just impossible, but I can say would have to be in the top 1%, there's not many of us out there who always wear 4 inch and above everyday! PS: saw a couple of people with 4" - 5" heels (mule style) today, its summer here. Inga
