    1) Black patent Marc Fisher brand with just under 4" heel

    2) Wine color Jessica Simpson brand with 5-inch heel and a platform. They also have a keyhole cut-out in the toe box

    3) Mint green Le Chateau brand with 4.5" heel

  2. I had an interesting encounter today. It all started the other day. I was searching through Facebook Marketplace as I usually do. I came across a pair of black patent stilettos. They looked great and the $10 price tag didn't hurt either. So I messaged the seller to ask her a few basic questions. Things like the brand and size and such. At no point in our conversation did I mention or lead on that the shoes were for me. I finally told her I was interested and I could pick up the shoes tomorrow. She said great and gave me her address. She also said she had some other shoes I might be interested in.

So I drove to her house at the agreed-upon time and knocked on the door. She came to the porch area and let me in. She brought me the shoes and without missing a beat she asked if I would like to try them on. The whole drive over I was wondering how it was going to go down. And I was prepared for anything that might arise. I thought about her proposal for just a split second and said sure! I put them on and she asked how they fit? I told her they were really comfortable if not slightly large. Then she asked if I wear them around town referring to heels. I told her I do. Then she said if you don't mind me asking are you a crossdresser or trans etc etc. I felt really comfortable at this point and she seemed that way from the get-go. I told her none of the above. I told her I just wear whatever I want. If it looks good I wear it. She said okay. Then she started telling me about some trans person she knew years back in town. And all the struggles she had before she eventually died.

After a brief conversation she mentioned she had another pair of heels that I might be interested in. She said they were red patent and she went to fetch them. I was excited because I didn't have any red patent in my collection. She came back shortly with the shoes. I was slightly dejected as they were more of a maroon wine color. They were nice just the same though. They were Jessica Simpson brand. They had a 5-inch heel and a platform. They also had a keyhole cut-out in the toe box. I slipped out of the black ones and tried these on. They fit great and we're just as comfortable as the other ones despite the added height. She told me how great both pairs looked on me. She told me these ones would be $15 if I wanted them. I happily paid her the $25. She grab me a plastic bag to put the shoes in. And then she said if I have any shoes for sale later I will message you a picture. I thanked her and left one happy camper! Two hot pairs of heels for $25 and a very positive shoe buying experience.

The only negative is that when I got home I noticed the patent on the Black shoes had started to separate a little bit from the side of the heel shafts. I missed that earlier but since I only paid $10 for the shoes it was no big deal. A little glue and I should be back in business. I am going to get pics up of the shoes as soon as I can so stay tuned! Oh and I forgot to mention that earlier in the day I found a near-perfect pair of mint green patent stilettos in a thrift store for less than $10 also!

So let's recap. I got three pairs of heels plus a story and interaction of a lifetime. And not to mention a potential source of future shoe buying. And all it cost me was 30 bucks! You can't beat that!

  3. Here is my latest acquisition.  I picked these up in a thrift store for $15.  They are black snakeskin pumps with a heel measuring just over 4 inches.  The brand is Sam and Libby.  They are extremely comfortable to wear.  And they are in excellent condition.  I can see these being my go to heels.  they will get a lot of use.

  4. Here is my latest purchase.  And I'll tell you how it came to be.  I was flipping through the guide on my tv and noticed that the show Jessie was on.  Now the show itself is your typical Disney Channel kids show that ran for roughly 4 seasons and is now on in reruns.  Not the kind of show any of us would watch on a regular basis, if at all!  But fashion wise it is the exact oppisite!  I have seen bits and pieces of the show and it is a feast for the fashion freestylers eyes.

The show stars actress Debby Ryan who plays a live in nanny to 4 children of rich parents.  The parents are hollywood types and are very rarely on the show as they are usually away on business.  But when they are on the show the mother played by Christina Moore is always dressed up in some kind of dress and heels.  Her daughter played by Peyton Roi List is tween age on the show and is dressed more conservatively, but still stylish!  And Debby is on screen alot and is always wearing something stylish which usually includes a nice pair of heels.

So being curious I turned to the show for a bit to see if there was anything good fashion wise.  Sure enough Debby was on and she was wearing a very stylish outfit which included heels and a very nice red blazer.  Almost all of my jackets and coats are black or some other neutral color.  But that red blazer looked really sharp!  I knew right then and there that I had to have one.  So the search began!

Today was my lucky day!  I was in a thrift store and found 2 red blazers that may have fit the bill.  I tried the first one on and It was too big!  I was swimming in it.  I tried the second one on and bingo!  The cut and fit were perfect and it was in mint shape.  It fit like a glove, and looked amazing!  I knew I was buying it but the $6 price tag made my deciision even easier.

The blazer itself is made by Streetwear Society and it has a leopard print lining inside.  As I siaid earlier, it looks amazing!  It  has a very slimming effect on me.  And I already have some Ideas on what to wear it with.  But I will still glady take suggestions from everyone here.  I will be wearing it out the first chance I get!

  5. Here is my latest acquisition.  It is another handbag.  The brand is Aldo.  It is black with plenty of lace like detailing and cutouts all over the front and sides.  It is just the right size and has plenty of room inside.  It is in mint condition for a second hand purchase.  And the best part is I paid $15!

  6. I was wondering when a topic like this might pop up.  I was actually contemplating starting it myself.  It is definitely for me!  My earring collection probably rivals my shoe collection.  And my liking for them may have even started before shoes!  And like @JeffB My outfit doesn't feel complete without them.

Once my passion grew I started experimenting with clipons but found them to be uncomfortable.  So years ago I bit the bullet and got mine pierced.  And earrings among men are so common these days it's not really an issue anymore.  Plus it opens up so many more options and choices earring wise.  And it is way more comfortable too!  Even before I got mine pierced for the first time I was always intrigued by women and girls who had their ears piered twice.  I knew that If I ever got mine done that I would be adding a second set.  And that is exactly what I did!

And in terms of storage.  Here is what I do and it is cheap!  Go to any place like Home Depot and they sell those portlabe plastic storage cases.  They have a handle and many small compatments for organizing your nails or any small tool parts like nuts and bolts.  They work perfectly for storing and organizing your earring collection.  Hope this helps some.

  7. Here is my latest purchase.  I abolutely love these!  The are Ivanka Trump brand and they are in mint shape!  The only pronlem is they are small and tight.  They are not my size and are roughly a half size too small.they fit fine in the back but the problem is the toe box. My toes are pretty cramped.   I am hoping they stretch out a bit.  I knew they were small when I bought and tried them on.  But I just couldn't bear the thought of passing up these beaties and letting someone else have them!  Plus I bought them second hand and only paid $15.  So if they don't work out it is no harm no foul.  But I sure hope they do!  If worst comes to worst I can admire these on a shelf or something.

    Mr X,

That is not subtle yet pleasant to look at. Yes, the days are getting warmer but spring seems in no rush to arrive in SE Wisconsin. The snow and ice are gone but it still goes below freezing each night and we haven't any sustained warm weather above 50F/10C this month. But the days are certainly much longer than in January. Have you tried the legging look?? That outfit definitely fits the current weather pattern. Well done! HinH

Thank you! We are still hitting below freezing overnight here too. But the daytime has been plenty warm lately.

Very snazzy there, Mr. X! You nailed it with that outfit! I could make something like that work (even though I don't have a purple handbag), but it's still too chilly here to go without tights. Well done, my friend!

Thanks Jeff! My purple handbag is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I have used it on many an outing lately.
