  1. Here is a breakdown of my latest outing. Day off from work and I had a few errands to run. I think I notice a few looks and head turns while out but nothing major. It could have all just been in my head too. Anyhow, here is a breakdown of the outfit I wore. - green t-shirt - mens black leather jacket - dark jeans - Aldo beige/brown knee boots(Faroudja model I think) check earlier in this thread for more info on the boots. And finally a pic. Comments and suggestions are welcome as always.

  2. Another day, another outing. I decided to visit one of the more popular watering holes/dance clubs here on Saturday nights. I tried on a few different outfits and options before finally settling on something. I was feeling a little under the weather but otherwise the night itself went off without a hitch. Not one negative comment was made. But then again I didn't receive any positive comments either. I was kinda hoping someone would notice or say something. But then again I guess blending in is a good thing too. I guess I "passed" so to speak. But anyway on to the outfit and pics. I had my new beige knee boots talked about earlier in this thread that I was dying to wear. And I actually created a couple outfits with them that looked good. I also had a pair of womens fitted black trousers that I wanted to wear. I have worn them before but never out of the house. Unfortunately they do not go with the knee boots so I had to choose. The pants won out. So here is a run down of the complete outfit. - Womens fitted black trousers - 3 1/2" black ankle/calve boots(also mentioned earlier in this thread) - Black/White mens button down dress shirt And finally here is a pic to put it all together. Comments and suggestion are always welcome.

  3. I was lucky to find myself in London one summer afternoon just after 5pm and I couldn't believe how many heels I saw on the streets! The first picture attached is my favorite, for obvious reasons: the perfect black stiletto court/pump!

The 2nd and 3rd pictures are of a girl who was standing outside some kind of bar offering flyers. I didn't see what she was advertising, I was distracted by the high heels!

everything about that women screams beauty

  4. I just ordered these, Aldo's "Summar". I saw these in the store, but were sold out except for the size 6 display model. They finally came down to $35, and couldn't resist, although I thought it was sneaky that right after I ordered the price went up to $50 again. Supposedly they'll be here tomorrow!

Not bad at all. And the price makes them even better. I have been having good success lately at Aldo as well. Usually I find them to be a bit pricey. But lately I have been finding shoes and boots for under $50 there like you did.

  5. I am a pro wrestling fan and I discovered that one of the females was selling a pair of her shoes on ebay. So I inquired about them and asked some generic questions regarding the shoes. My main question was the heel height which was lacking/absent from the "ad." At this point she did not know my gender. Here was her reply. "Actual heel is 3". Are you planning on wearing them?" That is when I decided to let the cat out of the bag so to speak and get her opinion on men wearing heels. So here was my next reply. "As hot as those shoes are I cannot wear them because they are not my size. But if you have any 9 1/2's you would like to send my way by all means....lol. But now for a serious question. A women's opinion would be much appreciated. And I would love to relay the info to others in my situation. What are your thoughts on men wearing high heels?(not to sound creepy or anything) The reason I ask is because there is a growing number of men out there who wear them, myself included. But for a lot of men wearing them is not a fetish thing, myself included. There is a growing number of websites and pictures devoted to the art of "freestyling" or "heeling" as it is called. And with the right outfit heels can look very good on a man. I know it is not "common place." And I think that is what scares or weirds out alot of people on the subject. But there was a time when earrings where not norm for men either. Opinion please. And would you date a man who wore heels? Thanks! " And here is her final reply. "I believe women's high heels should be worn only by women, not men. I personally would not date any man who wears women's shoes. You may try and justify that it's perfectly normal...but in reality it's not...unless of course you are an openly gay man." It's the way I knew the conversation would go and the answer I would receive. But its not the way I wanted the conversation to go or the answer I was looking for.

  6. Sounds like you had a great day, doesnt it make you feel much better when you realise nobody gives a crap and the clouds dont fall out of the sky just because of what you put on your feet...

I'd say, if anybody was eyeballing your first pair of boots, that might be because they look like that cheap plastic'ish material, but the second pair, well, if I saw a guy wearing those over his jeans, I'd be tempted to go ask where he got them from, they look really good.

I'm surprised the salegirl asked if you were gay/straight though, especially "Are you drag", I'd have said, "Whats drag??" (Even though we know what she was asking, I'd have let her answer her own question on that one...)

I never would have thought to say "whats drag?" I will have to keep that one in the vault of comebacks for future reference. And the boots I bought were definitely not what I had in mind for a purchase going in. I was looking for something similar to my black ones but in a better material. And with a spikier heel. But as soon as I put the boots on I feel in love with them. And they are a perfect boot for freestyling I think. The heel is a perfect middle ground between no heel and a stiletto. It has just the right amount of height and chunk. And they are super comfortable to wear.

  7. Time to report on my latest outing. I had a day off from work today and had some errands to run. Plus I needed some Mr. X time. Usually my outings involve ankle/calve boots under jeans. But seeing all the threads and pics here involving boots over jeans I figured It was time for me to give it a go.

Outfit wise I went pretty basic with just a normal winter coat and my jeans. For the boots I choose a pair of lower heeled black knee boots that I picked up about a week ago at a local thrift shop for about $15. I didn't wear the boots right off. I brought them with me and figured I would change later in the car. Plus that way I had a pair of sneakers to change into later if need be.

first stop was the bank to get some money from the ATM. I already had my shoes on so I quickly went in and did my thing without changing into the boots.

Aldo is quickly becoming one of my routine stops on a Mr. X day. Today was no exception. They were having some sales and I was in the market for some new boots anyhow. Plus I enjoy the interaction with one of the salesgirls there. She made me feel at ease and we clicked from day one.

I got to the mall and figured it was time for the boots. I put them on, and unlike my first outings, I was not nervous at all. Even though I was trying something new. I got out of the car without hesitation and proceeded inside. It was earlier in the morning so it wasn't to busy. It's funny how non nervous I was as compared to my first outings. Even though now my boots were on the "outside" for all to see as compared to underneath in the past.

I arrived at Aldo to no one in the store. Not even sales staff. Seconds later my favorite salesgirl came from the back and greeted me with a hello from the back of the store as I was walking in. I said hi back. I could tell she noticed my boots right off even though she didn't say anything. It looked like she was getting some boxes of stock ready to either go out or be shipped back.

I finally found a darker pair of brown boots that I didn't mind. I asked her if she had them in a 9 or a 10. She said no but she handed me a similar pair in a 9 and told me to try them on. She was treating me like any other customer and still not a peep about the boots I was wearing. I tried on the boot she suggested and we both agreed it was to small. She finally spoke up and asked if I was "drag". I said no. The she said so are you gay or straight or what. I said I was straight as an arrow. I then asked her if I was giving off some kind of vibe and she said no just curious. I told her I just enjoy shoes and I like wearing whatever I want. I know she was just being curious in a friendly kind of way. But it was almost as if she couldn't believe that a regular joe could like "shoes" in that way without wearing a dress or something. I know she is cool and open minded though because as I said before her manager is gay.

Anyhow back to the story. So she takes back the small pair of boots and says these ones are a 10. She then went back to her boxes. This whole time maybe a few people tops had been in and out of the store. I took the boot and tried it on. It was a lighter brown with a smaller chunkier heel. It fit perfect. I looked approvingly in the mirror and I knew I was taking them. But I went to her and asked for the other one to try on. She brought it from the back and I tried both on at the same time. Again she went back to her boxes. They fit and looked so good that I figured I would wear them right out.

I boxed up my old ones and went to pay. She proceeded to ring them up for me as I told her I would wear them right out. Now for the price. They had been marked down to $60. But there was also another 50% off on top of that. So all told I paid $30. Not to shabby! I thanked her and proceeded to leave. That is when another young 20 something girl came in. I seen her glance down as I was leaving but she didn't say anything. I was feeling good as I left. I got a cheap pair of nice looking boots and no bad reaction or interactions to what I was wearing. I saw a few glances or head turns but nothing else.

Next stop was the local thrift shops. There is a Salvation Army and a Value Village in the same strip mall. I was feeling really great and I was now in my new boots for all to see. And I didn't have a care in the world at this point. Some times these thrifts stores are a gold mine. Today they were not so I wasn't in there long.

Next I went to Chapters which is basically the Canadian equivalent of Barnes and Noble or Borders etc. Like Jeff B has mentioned in his threads I am a "tech geek". I enjoy sitting and reading the latest audio/video or computer mag. So I did that for a while then left.

Next up was Future Shop which is the Canadian Best Buy. This is my store. I can easily spends hours in there without buying anything. I now own a blu ray machine so I almost purchased a blu ray movie, but didn't. After leaving I figured my day was done so I took of my boots for the trek home. But then I figured that my day was going so well that maybe I should go try my luck at the local casino. I did go but without boots. I ended up wining $60. That was a nice end to the day. So my entire day's purchases, including the boots, were free. All in all a good first outing in boots over jeans and I will definitely do it again. maybe with a better outfit too. Suggestion on that are welcome as always. Well enough chit chat. Let's get to some pics.

First pic is the boots I originally wore and the second pics is the boots I purchased. I will also post a link directly to the boots on the Aldo site.
