  1. Taking a leaf out of @mlroseplant book I measured my steps yesterday as I made my way around the city of Leeds, and was pleasantly surprised to find it came to just over 7000. I was wearing ankle boots with 3.5” chunky heels - thicker heels being a necessity here in the old part of the city with its brick streets and irregular paving tiles. I might start keeping better track

  2. Hello all; First, as I am new to this forum and recently starting wearing heels (only heeled boots) in public, it is truly incumbent upon me to introduce myself. Recently, I posted my introduction "Greetings from the Midwest" to the "for everybody" area instead of "for the guys." My error! Nonetheless, please take a moment to read my brief introduction if you have not done so or so desire to do so. As I noted in there, I am truly excited to have the ability to finally discuss/chat wearing high heels with other like minded people. I had always believed that my desire to wear high heels in public was only going to be just a dream but now, slowly, I am wearing my heeled boots out in public more and more often. And I absolutely love it! I so much want to share my stories but I do not want to use this forum as my personal blog/website to do so. This wonderful forum is for everyone to share their stories, concerns, issues, etc. about wearing high heels, either in the privacy of one's residence or out in public. Thus, if I started posting my adventures here, such could go against the very idea of a public forum. Therefore, I have started my own personal blog about my adventures wearing high heels in public, The Heeling Chronicles. I decided to write my blog for me as a way to track my growth wearing high heels in public. I quickly realized, however, that much of what I am experiencing may be similar to the feelings of others and felt sharing those moments could be of interest to others. Likewise, I can add larger photos, make recommendations of brands I love, and write about whatever is on my mind without being the center of attention on this forum. My blog is rather sparse at the moment as I have only a few postings but I plan on adding new material every other Sunday and have many short stories, thoughts, and concerns I will be sharing over time. I have included a link to The Heeling Chronicles if anyone wishes to read it. Thanks! G P.S. More info on the boots I am wearing coming soon to the blog!

  3. This week I have given up the tie, maybe for the rest of the summer. Church does tend to be much more casual in the summer, although that doesn't tend to affect my decisions about what to wear. In other news, look for me on the internet. I was out walking this morning, and some dude in a car actually went around the block and came back for a second look with a phone hanging out the window. At 5;30 a.m. He must not be from around here. The best part was, he came within inches of hitting a parked car, and had to swerve at the last minute from not watching where he was going. I really wish he would have hit it. That would have made an interesting police report. "Let me tell you EXACTLY what happened here. . ."

  4. I was up at Costco the other day, and I saw a teenaged girl in heels. Not heels as we tend to think of them in this group, but heels obvious to everyone else. I would estimate this girl to have been about 15 or 16, but it's so hard to say for sure these days. She was with her parents, who were dressed nicely, but casually. Mom was in a sort of flowy skirt with flat sandals, and Dad was in khaki shorts with deck shoes or something of that sort. Daughter was wearing what appeared to be a romper, quite short with 2 1/2 inch block heeled sandals. I did not look too carefully to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Daughter had the typical teenage expression of a combination of boredom and oh, I don't know, sulky perhaps, but not like how normal adults carry themselves. She had her face buried in the phone the entire time, even though she kept up with Mom and Dad. I know this because we happened to be shopping at about the same pace and in the same general direction, and Costco moves items around a lot, so you often have to walk around and look for it. The one time Daughter looked at something besides her phone was to check out my shoes for a few seconds. For those few seconds, the expression on her face softened just a bit. I can be thankful that my 15 year old walks around looking like a normal, well-adjusted person. That seems to be a rarity, so I am told.
