  1. Yesterday
  2. Absolutely! That will be fun for you! How nice it will be to wear them out to a stylish evening! Splurge! Treat yourself! im really excited now that ive a goal to shoot for. And thanks for the vote of confidence!!!
  3. Of course you can do it! I'm also so excited to wear my Hot Chicks out again, I guess I have to make up an occasion for it if one doesn't come up by itself soon.
  4. I’m quite excited by it - something to aim for! I can actually start believing I can do this!
  5. Thanks, that's good to hear 🙂 That's a great goal!
  6. Your English is good enough that I forget that you’re not a native speaker. Your 200 metres has now become my goal for my 12cm heels. I needed something to shoot for aside from a vague aspiration to walk fluidly in them. I can aim for a smooth 200 metres and then work on improving and hopefully becoming more comfortable in them
  7. That's indeed a good thing! Exactly, 200 m should be enough for most occasions. If these 200 m would become more comfortable with more practice, it would be perfect. Oh thanks! I really wouldn't describe myself as multilingual as I only speak german and english, and my english isn't even the best I think, but I can get along.
  8. Thank you! I had to laugh when I realised I was still in my 10cm heels, but the bright side I suppose is how completely at ease I feel in them - hoe nice it will be when I do the same with 12cm! Our little support group is really proving useful! I think of both of you when I put on my heels each morning. Oh, and I meant to say that aside from being hugely impressed by your newly acquired abilities in the Hot Chicks - 200m would amply take you through a night out in them, say to a restaurant or something - I am also hugely impressed that you’re doing all your posting and reading ours in English! That’s brilliant. i have - or had - a gift for languages at one time and could speak several but for various reasons never stayed the course. I’m envious now of those, like you, who are multilingual
  9. Yes, this walk was really a great accomplishment for me 🙂 But you have to keep in mind that I have the Hot Chicks for about a decade now. My first time wearing them out were only a few meters from the car to a restaurant entrance. So even though I didn't wear them that often, I have some experience in them already. 200 m is a distance where you can reach many places starting from the parking lot, so I'm glad that worked kind of well and I can wear them out more. Our little "training group" also helps to stay at it and keep practicing 🙂 @Shyheels What a great story! I feel kind of sad for you that you found out you mistaken your heels. But one day you'll feel the same and then you'll really be wearing your 12 cm heels!
  10. Oh well, I'm sure you will master the 12s soon
  11. Yes walking 200m gracefully in Hot Chicks is quite an accomplishment. I cannot imagine achieving that myself - I shall be delighted to walk gracefully in my 12cm stiletto boots. Speaking of which I had an amusing episode this morning, when I got up and put in my stiletto boots to start my workday. I get up very early - typically 4am - since that is my most creative time. I’d left my stiletto boots by my kitchen table, ready to put on in the morning. Now, I have three pair of stiletto boots - one is quite a luxurious OTK pair in black Nubuck suede with 9cm heels. The other two are the same style in Italian Heels, their Tina model. One is in black leather with 10cm heels, the other is in very dark brown leather in 12cm heels. I thought I had put in my 12cm ones this morning and was happily congratulating myself in a major breakthrough. To be sure I was only traipsing around my boat, but doing it was an ease I’d never imagined myself managing in 12cm stilettos. I was really quite chuffed - bring on the Hot Chicks! I did a lot of extra walking around, just to enjoy this breakthrough all the more. Had I been moored ina more heel friendly location I’d have gone for a celebratory stroll. Alas, I discovered I had mixed up my boots and was wearing my 10cm stilettos, not the 12s. Back to beginners again ….
  12. To be fair, I'm not out there walking in Hot Chicks. At this time, I cannot even imagine walking even 200 meters in something that steep. As many know, I never wear stilettos to walk, simply because they wear out too fast. When I say it takes me half a mile to get my rhythm (some days), I'm typically wearing something like this: Thicker heel, somewhere around 10 cm height difference once you subtract for the platform. The trouble is getting from there to 12 cm stilettos (or in my case, evidently 12.7 cm).
  13. There are an increasing number of companies that are suspending shipments to the United States - it’s simply not worth the costs and complications I see that Royal Mail is no longer accepting companies parcels for US delivery …
  14. Last week
  15. That’s hugely impressive to go 200 metres in a pair of 13cm Hot Chicks. And @mlroseplant is literally miles ahead of me. I’m afraid I am very much bringing up the rear. I can walk quite comfortably for a decent distance -when opportunity offers - in my 10cm knee boots and my 9cm OTK boots. And yes, it is quite exciting to do it and satisfying to be able to do so. I am very much looking forward to attempting my first 200 metre walk in my 12cm boots. That will be really fun
  16. Half a mile, I just looked that up, that's 800 meters. I'd be way out of rhythm in my Hot Chicks after 800 m 😂 On the weekend it was more like 200 m one way and that was enough. Yes, it's way more difficult wearing them outside when you got to get somewhere, but also way more exciting. And it's a good feeling when you know that you you can handle a bit of walking without becoming too uncomfortable. So I actually can use them for a few opportunities. Of course I'll keep you updated!
  17. For me the problem is getting that half mile! Heels - especially stilettos ! - and boat life is an uneasy mix. I can, and do, wear my chunky heeled boots out and about. It can be a bit of a challenge along parts of the towpath, but it’s doable. Stilettos are almost hilariously inappropriate. It’s not just a matter of balance, it’s also a big risk for ruining the heels/boots. Nevertheless I’m practicing on board and working out places where I can go to practice - changing into my heels once I get there. It takes a certain amount of dedication and I must admit there are days when I decide I’ll just wear them here on the boat, and make another pot of coffee …
  18. I supposed it's like any other skilled activity--you'll have days where you think, "I think I finally know what I'm doing!" And then there will be days when you think, "I feel like I've never done this before." Not every time, but many times I feel like I don't get into a rhythm until about a half mile down the road. This does seem to be a big step because like I've said for years, one can't learn how to walk by doing dishes and sweeping the floors at home. Eventually, one has to step out in the real world of less-than-perfect walking surfaces. Please do keep us updated on your progress (and/or your setbacks).
  19. Wow! Congratulations! That's quite a haul. On the other note, we are still getting shipments from Germany, the U.K., and Oz just fine (motorcycle parts via DHL). We are paying mo' money, though. As one would.
  20. ...but totally worth it!!!! Noe 88 Colors (out of The Netherlands) was having a stock-up sale during the month of August. Buy one pair and receive a 20% discount, two pairs and 30% discount, and three pairs for a 50% discount. Well, as I adore their styles and colors, I got a bit carried away by buying three different pairs in three separate orders. Noe footwear is not necessarily "designer" heels but they are made from genuine Italian leather. As it took about three weeks for each individual package to arrive, the wait for them to arrive was agonizing! It is said that all things come in threes or that the third time is a charm - I guess this is true! Sadly, Noe may not be able to ship to the U.S. for a while as the Dutch Post Office is no longer accepting packages for shipment to this country because of issues that have arisen from the recently impose tariffs. I cannot speak for other companies such as DHL, UPS, or FedEx, so, I guess I will just have to go there to get my next pair which will be in December!
  21. Oh wow! I though they would be long gone seeing how that neighborhood has changed over the years.
  22. Yes they are!
  23. Is Skyscraper still open?
  24. If you have any idea, leave a reply, even if the store currently doesn't sell them anymore, thanks. Also, if there's a better thread to post questions like these, let me know.
  25. The only Skyscraper Heels that I know is in Chicago, some of the other members here know the owner I think,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Love my LSB boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  26. Oh my dear Cookie. You were the 1st to attack my well-intended introduction by permanently body shaming me with your publicly stamped label: "Edited June 15 by Tech - Removed innappropriate Picture" Just because I am presented as a voluptuous female, you assume that I'm promoting fetishism and sexual content by posting 1 photo showing 5 full body versions of myself (meaning no close-ups) in fully clothed attire including a few outfits no skimpier than what a championship figure skater would wear and 10 pairs of stiletto boots to share with our friends? WOW... I find that very hypocritical of you since apparently the rules don't apply to you, those that you favour, and the ads that you allow on your site: I do however agree that you should be spending what little time you have on more pressing issues including disturbing criminal activity being posted on your site such as confessions of forcible confinement (forced to wear heels --> scroll to KatieS submission) instead of bullying lil 'ol me with your biased assumptions against feminine beauty and completely missing the focus on the rare stiletto boots content that were submitted. So now I've had to spend what little time I have, dealing with this, instead of contributing more meaningful material to this community. In addition, you have spitefully downgraded my membership by now pending my submissions for approval because the truth about this site's hypocrisy had hurt your feelings? Are we seen as your pets on leashes? Decency to ask via DM? Seriously? Asking for body type approval? And what the heck is a DM? We all can't speak beeep-bop-booop-bop. Well, as soon as I figure out what a DM is, I'll be reaching out to sendra45. Perhaps it takes a female moderator's perspective to understand my appeal. 'Be well Cookie, Prima
