thatotherguy Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 **Note to mods: feel free to move this post, I just feel a bit more comfortable posting in the strickly guys' section. Greetings from the great white north! (Canada). I am a 18 year old male, and I recently found my love for wearing high heels (although I've always like seeing my girlfriend wear them). I love playing soccer and was once a very avid swimmer. I also love my gadgets more than anything else, but I hate Windows Vista and Macs. I currently own only one pair of High heels (4" Enzo Angiolini Stilettos) that look exactly like (minus the height and sole colour) these Nine West pumps, Anyways! this is a nice forum! nice meeting you all I look forward to my stay on this community breaking social norms is a hobby of mine

Bubba136 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hi TOG! It's always good to have another Canadian joining us. One of our most noteworthy members, LaurieHeels, is from Calgary and, although she's not as active these days as she has been in the past, is admired by all that know her. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
thatotherguy Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 Hi again, The heels were actually forced upon my girlfriend, after I mumbled a thing or two about her bad posture while standing in her kitten heels (an unhealthy posture that is). Having said that, she bought me (not borrow because of the huuugeeeeee size gap) those shoes with the intention of letting me see how difficult it really is sometimes. To be honest though, it took me only about 20 seconds or so to get used to the extra height, possibly because of a majority of my dress shoes having a small heel. I found them to fit quite nice on me, and loved how they looked on me. At first I havent thought of keeping them because I'd figured they would be of no use to me. But because of my obsession to keep everything "first" (first cellphone, first computer, first baby shoes, first baby toy etc.....), I decided to keep them, after some reasoning with my girlfriend that is . So I guess she kind of approves me having the heels, but from her reactions everytime I meantion "my 'other' shoes", I am quite certain that she would not approve of me wearing them publicly, or too much. breaking social norms is a hobby of mine

Also I am another Canadian who found this community and like minded people for which heels/shoes and boots are a major interest. Hope your interest in heels continues, we have a whole lifetime of wearing them ahead of us. How exciting is that! Enjoy! Mtns of heels

Dawn HH Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Welcome to the Forum. Given time maybe your GF will decide to like the fact that you can wear heels. After all, it was her who decided that you should try them out in the first place. Enjoy and keep posting here. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
