shyguy Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 In todays Sun newspaper they have a picture of Prince (or whatever he calls himself now) in some platform flip flops here's the url, http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007280217,00.html what do you think fashion faux pas or not? He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
ShockQueen Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Well, at least they're not crocs! YAG! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Dr. Shoe Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Have you ever worn crocs? All I can say is don't knock em til you tried them! They bloody ugly but dead comfy, I lived and died in mine on holiday... Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
HeelD Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I'd say he looks alright. The only mistake he made was wearing white socks with black sandals. Should've left the socks at home. The sandals themselves are cool. Heel-D - Freestyling since 2005

The sandals themselves are cool. Yeah I thought the same, without the socks it may have gone down much better. As for crocs, I wore my wifes for a while, and went on to buy my own as The doctor says don't knock em till you try em. Ugly I'll grant you, but dead comfy. iloveboots Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Yup, could have done without the socks for sure! "Dress For Your Own Pleasure"
Secreto Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Know ehat you mean; but look, there's a toe post - he's going for the Japanese look, is it Geisha or Samuria (I expect both are spelt wrong!) When woman get taller, their shoes will fit me better.
vector Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 So when is it "fashion freedom" and not "fashion faux paus"?
Dr. Shoe Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Fashion freedom, when it looks good or makes a positive statement. Fashion faux pas= when it looks terrible. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Dr. Shoe Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 No they don't, they just say that. The same people wouldn't even comment about heels on women. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Firefox Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The people who say heels look terrrible on guys haven't seen enough of it to appreciate what it can look like if done well. They probably only saw a drag queen at a pantomine or a guy dressed up as a schoolgirl/nurse for fancy dress. They've never seen coordinated male street heeling. Ignorance breeds fear.
