HappyinHeels Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 (edited) Hey All, Read recently that wedge heels may come back big time in 2026. Recent sitings at fashion shows suggest this. Has always been one of my absolute favorites. Enclosed are two different looks with high wedge heels, 5.5”/16 cm or more, with a dress and skinny jeans. I’ll try to post more as I love this style and not many post about them though I do remember our favorite Iowan, Mlroseplant, talking about them. higherheels Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 I really like wedge heels, a comeback would be great!
mlroseplant Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 I do like wedges, with reservations. The wedge has to be on the thinner side at the heel, left to right, like these Bruno Magli wedges. I suppose a resurgence of heels of any type is welcome at this point. I'm not holding my breath. 1
HappyinHeels Posted November 11, 2025 Author Posted November 11, 2025 Here’s a view of me in wedges with cuffed skinny jeans a look perhaps some of us have tried. It’s the no hiding style. These have a 5.7”/15.5 cm heel. Here’s me in short shorts with my Soda wedges which I got on clearance at Shoe Carnival some 12 years ago. They have been very durable and have a full 6”/15 cm heel. Here’s a third view of wedges and a dress. I like the look even it’s not for most of you. If we are to wear alternative footwear we should have fun with it. 3
bluejay Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 I too like to wear dresses and do so often. BTW, HinH I like your red pedi. That's a favorite color of mine! Happy Heeling, bluejay
Gige Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 I, too, love wedges. To me, however, they seem to be more of a summer shoe but I do have a pair of wedge knee-high boots that I love. I tend to think that when worn "properly" wedges can be just as alluring as a pair of stilettos, as illustrated by my photo. 1
SF Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Happy... His there. Nice pics!! I like wedgies too, cute look. Have a few pair that I wear from time to time. But I keep the heel heist to less than 3 inches, I'm too tall already. Take care..... 1 "Why should girls have all the fun!!"

Here is another pair of wedges that I really liked, from Schutz, but unfortunately they broke on their very first true outing. I forgot about that one, actually. Elsewhere, I said I've only had 2 shoe failures this year. Make that 3. 1

No wedge heel boots here for me" Happy Heeling, bluejay
HappyinHeels Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago All, A few more pics of me in wedge sandals. Top is a hybrid look of a man’s polo shirt with cuffed skinny jeans a nice shopping outfit or just going out in the evening. The second is shorts with a regular tee shirt. I did wear this to a picnic where I was invited and encouraged to wear my heels. The point is to enjoy what you’ve bought. They’re not tree ornaments. HinH Here’s I am in cuffed skinny jeans with my 9W “Leggy” sling back wedges which have 5.5”/16cm heels. I have worn these wedges many times with skinny jeans and bootcut jeans as well as with shorts and dresses. Have also taken them on trips more often than not. 2
mlroseplant Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Nice sandals there. I think we are down to mere weeks until I can wear my sandals again without looking super strange (too late for that, I know). My personal wedge collection is down to 10, and I don't have any that I would call high. I've still got a couple of giant platforms left, but my sensibilities have changed. I either wear low heels, like the pair pictured below (a throwback to the old drain pipe days!), or I tend to choose wedges with relatively narrow heels. I should probably look for some more like these black ones. I am down to my last pair in this style. They don't last forever.
bluejay Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hi HinH, Glad you're able to enjoy wearing sandals. If I'm correct you winter over in AZ. Here in upstate NY it's boots and more boots along with warm clothes. Went a whole month with the temp not getting above 20*F and lots of snow too boot (LOL) no pun intended. I been wearing fleece lined tight and leggings with my boots. In 2 or 3 months we'll be able to wear sandals and skorts here. Happy Heeling, bluejay
