I've got some 5 inch stilettos from asos size 9 uk and must say one of the best heels I've owned. Snug fit but after a few wears they were great. Beat my 5 1/2 inch pleaser i currently have. Did have some pleaser sexy 20 and they were a nice fit

I'm wondering if the ASOS U.S. are different and in a bad way. Mine are clearly Chinese origin and similar to the cheaper heels found on Aliexpress.

I don't think the ASOS products differ between the countries.   If you look at a selection of reviews, it seems clear that US (and other) customers are commenting on the same items as are sold in the UK - particularly when sizing differs.   But China does seem to be the source of most if not all, and quality is sometimes an issue.
