Where to buy larger size high heels

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

As we all know it is not very easy to buy womens shoes, especially heels in sizes larger than a UK10 (US11 & EU43)

If you know of a supplier let us all know.  dont post up a picture.  All we need to know are the following details

maximum size. country of origin. and most importantly, their website details

I will start you all off with one I recently found that i intend to purchase from.  I will let you know how i get on

http://www.just4birminghamjobs.co.uk/

They stock sizes up to UK11 and are UK based.  It seems as if they sell discount designer brands

As I commented on a previous thread,

there's something a bit odd about this website. Despite its.co.uk domain name there's some evidence that the company is actually in China. Look at the CN that appears in the registration details here: http://www.scamner.com/check/just4birminghamjobs.co.uk

If you look at their shiiping and tracking page, it suggests they aren't in the UK. http://www.just4birminghamjobs.co.uk/-ezp-15.html

if you decide to order from them please let us know how you get on.

Here is another UK based company.  They only sell size UK9 TO 13 heels.  Most have a 7'' inch stiletto with a 2'' platform but they do sell a couple of flats as well as a 5''

The quality is very good and the price is also very good.  Its where I got the green heels for my 5 mile charity walk.  They dont have many choices but what they do sell is very nice especially if you like courts / pumps.  The sizing is especially for men and true to size (for me anyway)

I've found a couple of good shops whilst travelling around Europe. I'll leave out places selling the Pleaser range, as they're available all over the place, but these shops sell more 'fashionable' shoes.

https://www.zalando.co.uk/women-home/

Just bought a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's through this site, fast delivery and 100 day return policy, not that mine will be going back! Very happy.

https://www.ghigocalzature.com/en/

Excellent shop in Milan that do mail order too. I have three pairs of shoes from here, very well made and accurate sizing, though I have had heel trouble on one pair of ankle boots (I'm a good bit heavier that their target customer though!). I've only ever bought in person in their Milan shop, where they are very friendly and helpful.

I've also shopped in person at Big Shoe in Amsterdam, but their website is down, which doesn't bode well. I found this place, and others, through this website though, some good leads;

Hope that helps ;)

My heels from china arrived today but there is a problem.  they sent me the wrong item.  they sent me a pair of NIKE trainers instead. im just waiting to hear back from them so i can return them.  i think this is a genuine mistake as there is a lot of difference between a stiletto peeptoe boot and a trainer.  Nice trainers though.

i think the seller is honest but what impressed me is the speed of delivery.  in the past i have had to wait nearly 6 weeks for an order to arrive.  these took just 12 days.  i will of course let you know what happens

That's really annoying but hopefully will get sorted out soon. I'm expecting a delivery from China and have the tracking number which tells me it took two days to get to the UK... and has now been sitting in a distribution hub in Middlesex for three days!

Speaks volumes :-?

small or big doesn't matter, wear your heels proud .... that is!

Since Dutch men and women are some of the tallest on the planet (on average) perhaps they also have bigger feet than average. Hence the abundance of women's shoes in larger sizes.

This reminds me of the Gog-Magog Mountain Rescue Society which a friend told me existed man years ago.

For those unaware of the joke, the Gog-Magog hills are a range of VERY low (under 300 feet) hills near Cambridge, England which is in a very flat part of the country. I suspect it was a Cambridge University drinking society.

Also the fact it's terrain is so flat, people are desperate to gain a sense of altitude

@Strumpher If you ever are on this side of the Canal, give me a heads-up. I'll show you a few places which are higher than @at9's Gog-Magog mountains. you need more than 6" heels to look over them.

Krazykev, here in France we have a great listing with all the online stores http://www.grandshopping.fr/internet/chaussures-femme

All in french. Femmes = women. Hommes = men. Pointure = size. Chaussures = shoes. Boutique = store. Jusqu'au = up to. Vente en ligne = online sales.

There is also a page for stores carrying large size and a map, but all the listed physical shops are near Paris.

A few are missing, such as Alibaba, where you should search for size "US16" and "US17" (chinese have a special US scale, use their tables with foot length / US / CN sizes). With Alibaba there is no fast delivery (6 weeks) and though delivery is free of charge, returns are and they are worth the shoes, so I usually give up on returns with Alibaba.

Nordstrom agrees to deliver in Europe and has the widest collection. Only problem is american stores miss the tight network of parcel delivery places (Mondial Relay, etc.) where you can easily return them, and furthermost, pick you parcel when you can. They insist on using transport services that ring at your door for a signature when you are at work, and then have you drive 25 km to get your things at their hub.

Next, Newlook and Clarks carry shoes up to EU43 wide fit.

With reference to this website i advise all members NOT to purchase from them.  when i ordered from them the order arrived quickly but it was not what i wanted.  when i tried to communicate with the company to ask about a return they would not answer my emails so i have been left with a pair of Nike trainers instead of a pair of high heeled peeptoe boots.  anywyay at least the trainers fit ok.

Assuming you paid by credit card and the transaction is within the EU (which is appears to be, even though the compnay itself is in China) the card company is jointly and severally liable, hence you can get a refund from them. Technically this is only valid for purchases over £100 but in practice the card companies will often pay up for smaller amounts. As will banks for debit cards:

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases

If you paid by Paypal their dispute procedure should cover you. If you paid by bank transfer or Western Union then tough. The alarm bells should have rung very loudly. They were ringing pretty loudly anyway, the place is obviously a fraud as I noted in an earlier post.
