Guest
I decided to just do one thread on my trip to oklahoma. So I got a pedicure today with a french paint job. I wore my black wedge heeled sandals there because I thought it would be fun and a challenge. The said nothing about them other than it would be a half hour before I should wear those. I have been wearing them all day now. With bare toes and long pants the shoes are not a problem but with a french job they really stand out. I saw a few people give their friends a nudge and look but no comments. I even tried on a pair of boots in front of two woman shoppers. Oh they saw but never strayed from their shopping. Kind of a bummer. My fingernails are also black. It still surprises me that there are no reactions to them. I have been wearing my avatar shoes more than I ever thought I would. I bought 2 pairs of shoes today. The black wedges were $6 and I hate to say It they are a 10. I liked being in the single digits. The 2 lady's at the counter definitely saw my feet but just smiled. The boots were $60. Sandals take some skill and confidence to walk in. Not much to these that hold them to my feet so they are kind of lose. Add foot sweat and a sliding foot every time I take a step I just hope my shoe is still under my foot.
Guest
I was planing on spending my morning going to alteration shops to get some jeans altered. I went to one the other day but the lady did not speak English so I was a little worried she might not understand. So the first place I went in I put the jeans on with the heels I had on. No comments about the heels. Kind of bummed. Another lady did come in while I was standing there. Don't know if She noticed but she too had on a nice pair of heels. Gotta take the boots back I bought the other day. I did not zip them in the store. Zipped them at home and can't really get them zipped up. Sitting here with my feet up enjoying my french nails. First time with a french job.

Guest
Went out in my avatar shoes with French nails. Kind of makes them stand out more. Went into an antique store. The old man really stared hard at my feet while the 3 ladies talked to me. It really did not bother me. Should have said it's not nice to stare. Or maybe for $50 you all can see what I have on. I can't believe how much I am wearing these shoes. Went and had my fingernails done this morning. Wore my avatar heels. I really like the french. Maybe someday this might be normal for men but I will probably be dead.

Guest
Took off all polish except clear on my hands. Went out in my Fredericks wedge sandals. Got some looks from some woman. No comments. I wish the strap across my toes was tighter so they felt more secure. I go home tuesday. Going to get another french on the toes monday. Hope the wife likes it. I want to start going with her to get nails done but I also bought the stuff to do a french on her nails
Guest
Went to a Mexican restaurant with black finger nails and my avatar heels with black toes. The waitress was the first person to comment on my nails. She did not see my heels. She asked if I did them and I said yes. She said mine looked such better than hers and asked if I would do hers. Did not think much of it but every time she stopped she would comment on my nails and how bad hers looked. Then she asked if I wanted her number so I could do hers. Talk about not having a clue. It was not until I left that I realized what she wanted. She had a very nice tush and yes if I was not married I would be spanking it.

SF
Who knows, maybe the gals who saw your heels liked what they saw, and you gave them something to talk about in a good way. Several times I have wondered the same thing when someone obviously sees me in heels but makes no overt comment. A few times, people have made comments (are those girls shoes, those are fancy shoes etc), which started a conversation that always ended positively. Have fun on your trip - sf "Why should girls have all the fun!!"
Guest
I think one of the instructors in okc brought his daughter in the last day to see the "freak" in hi heels. As soon as she saw me she started looking at my feet. Kind of b of bothers me that he was a douche and had to do that. Oh well. 21 hours in my avatar heels. Back in the box til next trip. Got a new guy at work so just a matter of time before he sees the heels. Also getting a new boss next month so I ahve to break him in too. Wife not overly impressed with the french ties but them I new she would not ooh and ah over them. Hoping to get her to go to the nail shop with me but not sure how that will go over. She asked about how the girls reacted to me getting my nails done. Don't think she knows I did my fingers other than having clear on them when I got home. She has 2 fears. One that I will got as far as Bruce Jenner did and the other is what people will think.
Steve63130
Heels2u, Your duty, if you want to keep her happy and your marriage intact, is to make her confident and comfortable. Those two fears you mentioned are very real to her, so you need to squelch them as much as possible. You need to show her that she's #1 in your life, you need to take baby steps so she can see that most people don't notice or care what you wear on your feet, and by going slowly she will expand her comfort zone over time so you can wear what you like without it bothering her. If you're not going as far as Bruce Jenner did, then tell her that and reinforce it from time to time. Explain what your limits really are, so there are no unpleasant surprises later on. If you keep her happy, your relationship will endure and you can enjoy the footwear you love. Good luck! Steve
mtnsofheels
Heels2U, sounds like a great fun, nice french nails! I like french the best on my hands too. Lots of folks chatting with and about you, good stories. Well nothing like going out and having fun in the summer sun. Good comments from Steve too, hope the wife buys in and your sharing of spa days and heels will be good for both of you.
robbiehhw
Sounds like a great trip. You are always going to have close-minded people to deal with if you go to the edges of things. With regard to the fears of your spouse, it's not uncommon. I have been on the MTF path for many years and have always gone at a pace she feels comfortable with. Most often they find that their worst fears are baseless or products of cultural bias and deserving of change.
