mlroseplant Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I bought these Nine West tassel loafers, and I really like them, but as you can see, this just looks absurd. Any ideas about how to get the tassels to lie flat? Uh, oh. I reckon I'll probably provoke the ire of grammarians. I should have said, "lay flat," init? At any rate, I've still got the same problem. I can't wear these shoes looking like this, and since I bought them before traveling 3 weeks to Asia, my return privileges have unfortunately expired.
dww Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Only way I can think of is use a bit of steam on the lace part. life is not a rehearsal
crotchhiboots Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Carefully cut them off unless you like tassels. 77r90dL lf
hh4evr1 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I was able to carefully twist/bend the tassel on my pair into the correct place. You could also place something heavy on them when they are in the correct position and leave it there for a while.
4608 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Would it be imposible to glue them in their correct possition?
shoerepairer Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 don't steam them you'll get tide marks on those uppers, they stain very easily this is the correct advice. its probably been where they have laid in a stock room in the box & they've assumed the position they where laying in. I was able to carefully twist/bend the tassel on my pair into the correct place. Repair Reuse Recycle. Cobbler it.
