pussyinboots Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Cash strapped women are painting the soles of their shoes red, to imitate 'celebrities' who wear Christian Louboutin shoes (really). http://uk.lifestyle....outin-look.html Honestly, how sad is that.....!? dww Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I think it is very sad just read the article on yahoo, do fancy shoes really mean that much? life is not a rehearsal

benno Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) People have been doing this for years with houses and car and such. eBay is full of conversion kits to give cars the BMW 'angel halo eye' look. Edited July 12, 2012 by benno
Guest Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I must admit I did paint out some tacky gold soles with red as it was a better (and only) colour I had but in my defence the boots don't even look as if they are from the great esteemed house of CL. Al
Mr. X Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Weather I think it is sad or not, it is not far fetched. I have seen on TV a product to convert your soles and heels into whatever by means of attachable stickers. The ones I saw on TV were red to emmulate Louboutins. Here is a website that sells them. http://rossosolinishop.yokaboo.com/
Womer_uk Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I've done a couple of pairs for my neice, she was delighted - and thinks it's extremely funny it costs less than a pint of beer to do them properly ! I use signal red acyrilic car spray paint though, rather than the oil or water based stuff, it actually lasts longer then the real thing and comes up with a brilliant mirror shine.
ilikekicks Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Krylon makes a paint called ' Fusion '. Its designed for plastic and it coats/;sticks VERY well, even on surfaces that see a lot of inclimate/horrible weather. The film it leaves is VERY flexable and doesnt crack/chip as easy compared to an Enamel, Oil, Laytex or Acrylic finish/based paint. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
