Shafted
I think to understand why I left, I must take into account why I joined in the first place. HHPlace was a place where I could share my secret desire to wear heels (to be more to the point stilettos). I got much inspiration from here from many of you. I soon started street heeling myself and chronicling my adventures in heels (taking from the community the will to wear heels and putting back to the community by helping to inspire others). Then something happened to me. Wearing heels became normal for me as well as people around me. Had heels overtaken my life? No, the forum had. It was eating a sizable chunk of my free time which I didn't have much of in the first place. To understand why I'm back is to understand why I left. After quitting my day job of almost 25 years, I have time for me again. This time I'm not looking for support, but offering it. So many of us come from very different walks of life. And when we post of our heeling adventures there always seems to be those that say I could never do that where I live. I personally am an example of how to pull it off in small town USA. Others show how to pull it off in the city My plan is to revive my old thread of my street heeling so that I can continue inspiring others. At least when something happens worthy of posting (good or bad). Shafted, the boots that is! Histiletto
You know! As much as we would love to wear heels constantly, there are also those rare times when heels may not have that priority in our psche whether we are male or female. This may sound a bit heretical for this forum, but it's O.K. if you choose not to go heeling even at the times and/or places you usually heel. raymond.nl
Personally, sometimes I still get that initial anxiety about wearing heels. You?! I honestly wouldn't have guessed. I've been wearing 3" block and tapered heels now for 2+ (or so) years on a daily basis (home, family, friends, school, office, ...) and it wasn't until a few days ago that I once again had that odd realization that not that many men wear heels on a daily basis. I was at a big company (client) and noticed how my new heels clicked rather noticeably on the glass floor. Still I've never received negative feedback and am blissfully unaware of people ridiculing me behind my back. If everybody tolerates me, chances are they will tolerate you just the same. Shafted
Just for the record, in my absence from the forum I still donned my heels. Shafted, the boots that is! JeffB
Welcome back, my friend. As one phase of your life ends, another begins, after all, nature abhors a vacuum. Heard that line in a Star Trek movie. Hope all goes well in your new phase. (Damn! That's deep! Wow!) I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
