Pull off HHs with my legs/feet

Hi everyone! :)

As i'm pretty new in wearing high heels and "women" shoes i lack a bit of self-confidence, a thing you might all know from your past. It's quite odd, cause normally i don't care too much if others like my attire, but with HHs its diferent - can't really tell why, it's just like that. With other fashion-items i tend to just wear what i like, but with HHs i just don't know form myself if i like them on me (just from the look - i love the feeling in HHs as far as i can tell today and i can comfortable walk in them, feels quite natural). So here is a pic -> http://img299.imageshack.us/i/dantehhlegs.jpg/. So what do you others think? Do they suit me, more in general?

Up to now i only own one pair, but i'm looking for a at least a second one now. I'd like to wear them more casual to fit to jeans. What i had in mind was to buy a pair to match to slim/skinny fit jeans. Here is an example of one jean i got recently -> http://img823.imageshack.us/i/whatfitstothosejeans.jpg/. As i'm quite slim (jeans size 29-30) the fit is not like the pic on the left, but more like those on the right. My thought was to buy a pair of ankle boots/booties as those are not so :) ... this guy is wearing HHs, but rather androgynous.

This for now. Cheers. Dante

well, its different to know if they suit you as we only have a picure of you from the waist down and the picture could be of anybody. leggings like that will draw your eye to the shoes though, if you want to show them off, then great.

The first thing that comes to my mind as a skirt-wearer is that the male genitals are going to really be squeezed given the extremely close fit in the crotch that the pants have.

Only you know what you like and what you have the taste for. Personal situations often keep us from making those choices, because we don't understand our right to choose. Society has trespassed into our lives and has decided we are not capable of choosing what we like to wear. It has become the traditional way society does things to keep people inside the boxes of their stereotyping. Are people free when they make little to no choices or are they free when they can choose from various selections? Men have only a few apparel items to pick for their wardrobe, while women enjoy an array of selections. As the perceived domineering part of humanity, men are really limited and therefore not as free. So, if the idea of wearing HH's is important to you, the choice has to be yours as to how free you will be to make it. Certainly, those of social brainwashing will discourage your wearing HH's, because it isn't a familiar choice many men have made lately. Once HH's are another choice in the men's wardrobe, your concerns about heeling openly will be a non-issue.

Thanks Histiletto for your encouraging post. Normally i don't consider myself to much in thinking in boxes - a thing i generally dislike, but with the fashion & hhs issue, you are right. One has to remember, that it is a free choice and you have and can take that right to choose for yourself. I should definitely just try on some more shoes i think i like and that might suit me and find out myself.

My advice to you and others who are in this "predicament" wear what is comfortable for you whether it be high heels or the outfit you wear with them or both. You know what you like as far as style and comfort. And others will see you in public, so you must decide how you will look when you go out in public in high heels. Be yourself, make your choice, and have fun.

Like other be comfortable in what you wear. I started hiding the heels in long flared jeans. Tried a comfortable long skirt look. I've been looking at the skinny jean option for a bit, either inside boots or with my favorite oxford. The thing I have concern with is the top. What would I feel comfortable in? I'm very tall, and long torso'd so the high waist skirt worked well. Jeff B. has thrown out the idea of a long sweater/Dress? Or maybe a long tunic or even one of my extra long dress shirts outside - not tucked in - with a waist belt?

OK - - Yes I'm new here, and I get the point that you should be comfortable and like whatever your wearing etc. Given that, I'd be looking to pair a peep toe wedge in a basic color, or a classic pump. Although I like and have big platform sandals, I'm thinking "Not" in my case. Then again - - what do I know

@ roniheels, you are right with what you said and i of course like the platform hhs, but those wouldn't be my choice to go heeling in public. it's some year now that i got them.

@ tallguyinheels, thank you for your hints. well we are in the same boat as i also have a pretty long torso. i think i stay with my attire and would wear just a tight t-shirt to the slim jeans. atm i think anything else would not make me feel comfortable. oxfords are nice. i really like the style - maybe smth. like these http://blog.stylehive.com/images/uploads/8oxford.jpg, http://www.heelcandy.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/dolce-vita-taylor-oxford.jpg

i'm pretty busy atm, but i found some time to stroll around to find some shoes that would fit to my slim jeans outfit. as i don't want to spend a fortune on hhs right now i looked for some cheaper ones, to see if i like the style and if i'm really going to wear them regularly.

so here is a selection. which ones would you suggest to me?

#1 - ankle boot (with straps)

#2 - plateau boot

#3 - ankle boot

#4 - pump (actually i think it may be wiser to start with a closed shoe like boots and ankle boots)

If you're a fun of oxfords check these ones.

I love oxfords and the look of oxfords. I can never find any my size. I'll check out these suppliers and see if they have some that I like in my size.

@ GML, those are quite nice, but a bit too extreme for me. But the shop really has some nice ones ... do you know where to get those outside of poland, as i don't see a webshop or anything alike? @ roniheels, if you find out where to get them, please let me know So, I'm still in the dilemma of beeing quite a bit too nervous, just to go and get my first pair in a shop. Let's see how i can manage this. I'll keep you up to date. :)
