BobHH Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 The metal heels are appearing more often these days. But these shoes don't seem to have any arch curvature to them.
shyguy Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Looks like some practise on tiptoes would be required just to stand in them. Someone here will surely be trying? He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
mk4625 Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Those shoes would look okay if the metal spike was faired into the heel base. I don't like that sharp discontinuity. Michael
Yamyam Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Ooh, those are nice. I like the heel effect. In fact, I like everything about them! I'd love a pair, but thanks to my bank balance I guess I'd best not! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
mk4625 Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Ooh, those are nice. I like the heel effect. In fact, I like everything about them! I'd love a pair, but thanks to my bank balance I guess I'd best not! Talk about bank balances. I bought a new refrigerator today, a stainless side-by-side Kitchen Aid. For what it cost I could have gotten 6 high quality pairs of boots. But Kathy was insistent. She has plans for my kitchen. Michael
jo Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 The sole has a very high incline with no arch. You are going to need very flexible ankles just to be able to stand up in them. The toe section is very short so it looks like you don't rest on the ball of your foot, but rather the ball is already part way up the incline, and therefore more weight rests on the toes instead. Quite strange, I don't like them all that much, the heel isn't right. Anyway, it is good to see lots of different designs coming out, as there are bound to be some people who do like them.
High Surprise Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Wow - very interesting. Like those! GOod to be unusual I think. I would love to see those modelled.
xaphod Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 I would give them a go, but they just aint practical. 260 Euros for something you would just wear in the bedroom .... WAAAY to expensive. Xa
High Surprise Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Don't be so practical. Sometimes you just have to say... what the hell... Anyway.... Who says they only need to be worn in the bedroom??? Great fun to be daring and different. You can tell what I'l like... Love to be dearing!
zorro071214 Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 really rahter weird. I think thats´more art than of any practical use. There is not any place for the heel to rest on so your toe would be squished by the bodyweight i think. But a nice type anyway. Jankas I am who I am and no one else/Jankas
High Surprise Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 I wouldn't imagine they are so uncomfortable jankas. The straps hold the foot in quite firmly with that style of shoe. I have a pair of 6 inchers which are similar. You would be very surprised how little weight you need on the back part of your foot (most of the body weight remains on the ball of the foot). The more I see that picture, the more I want a pair.
phuonginheels Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 I wouldn't mind trying them out, where do you think i can get those, i like them very very much
Yamyam Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 Much as I'm a big fan of ankle cuffs, I think I prefer the first pair. But there's not a lot in it! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
Bubba136 Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Here's a pair of unusual boots. I've never seen any like these before. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2830808731&category=11627&rd=1 Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
phuonginheels Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Those are quite funky too, you guys are so good at finding these weird but sexy shoes. Wish I could try them all on.
High Surprise Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Those boots looked a little clumsy to me. Not my style but not bad. A little too 80's I thought...
Trolldeg Posted May 24, 2003 Author Posted May 24, 2003 these are also new, and I like them better, except for the clear heel and sole...
Yamyam Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 I like those too. They're not some I'd see myself in, but they're definitely nice! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
High Surprise Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 They're cool. Never quite seen anything like them.
