roz
Girls only please. For me a definite yes. Most of my Louboutins and YSLs have platforms. I loved super high stripper platforms although am growing out of these now and have focused my attention on designer platforms. What about you, do you like the style of platforms, and do you wear them yourself?
heelsrule
Yes and why not. I do anything from 0.25 to 1". I find heeled shoes with at least a small platform much more comfortable to wear for longer. Also while we all like to say we go up to x many inches in heel height, an inch on the sole can make these taller shoes alot more comfortable for longer. Also handy when I have such a tall partner. pata
I would not have worn platforms *outside* before, especially as I am tall anyway and my heels not that low even without platform. but since the fashion has made them quite *normal*... at least those with small platform I do wear in public now. So let´s say - depending on occassion and shoestyle : till 2 cm platform would be ok for me. on fetish events or similar no limits of course. teeza
There are a time and place for all styles of boots / shoes - platforms / no platforms, high heels / lower heels. I enjoy a 2 inch (50mm) enclosed platform with very high heels in shoes or boots. Teeza
thehighheelsgirl
I kind of wouldn't mind some platform heels but my boyfriend won't let me have any so all my heels are no platform. Jen Yes, I do walk in these
roz
Does your OH even include platforms like this: http://www.faith.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=240900&language=en-GB&cid=platform_wedges_court_shoes Just so we're clear I'm not just talking fetish platforms BTW disappointed in john boy and corsair5 Is there any way mods can remove john boy's vote? PeggyNPumps
I have at least 20 pairs of platforms, unlike Roz I haven't out grown my addiction to super high stripper platforms. All of mine have at least 2" platforms up to 4". I wear the 6" plats with jeans sometimes while running errands, but usually i am wearing to parties or a night out dancing. I have some clear, white, red, black, pink and one pair of screaming yellow plats. <smiles> Have fun and be proud wearing them. I see more and more women doing it. Maybe I should have had a few more options on the poll to include liking hidden platforms, YSL Tribute-style platforms (which I love) and super high platforms. 20-20 hindsight is a wonderful thing tho! Peggy Yeah, platforms seem really popular at the moment. Some of the shoes being worn out now even I would have stopped short of wearing a few years ago. I still have a few stripper-style plats, but only ones that I think look really nice as opposed to just the plastic lumps, although I obviously still see the appeal of them. I sold about 40 pairs of my super high ones which has helped me get new (arguably more sensible!) shoes.
JustJenny
I'm a huge fan of the hidden platform designs!!! The Bebe "liza" is my current fav! With 6.25" heels EVERYONE stares and I love it! Jenny Just Jenny

barbara
Ive never worn platforms to much,I always thought they make me to tall.I might have to rethink that idea and go buy a pair
heelsrule
Without platforms I can only just go all day standing/walking in 4". With platforms that provide that little bit of extra padding, I can go higher for longer. Now I can easily do 5-6" depending on platform height all day. My favorite is the hidden platform, but I think they suit some style much better than others and look best in boots or with jeans etc.
HighHeelBabe
I absolutely love platform heels, I have numerous pairs of regular plats and the ones that have hidden plats as well, and i also have several pairs of the "mini platforms". i have worn platforms for for over 20 years and i can say i find that my feet and legs fair a lot better after wearing platform heels all day than wearing regular style heels with no platform. I guess i just fell in love with the candies style of platforms in the late 1970's and have been wearing them ever since as i still have 3 pairs of the original platform clogs from back then and they are still in perfect condition and i wear them still every week(thank god for kiwi shoe polish!) so thanks for reading and keep on high-steppin' HighHeelBabe
CindyOnHeels
Platforms to me feel a bit like cheating . I love the way high heels arche my feet. I would need even higher heels when wearing platforms to get the same feeling. Don't know why really, but I just prefer the feeling and looks of non-platforms. I do have one pair of platforms, but they're of the porn-chick or pole-dancer type (2" platform & 7" heel) and have only wear them a few times in the house. Mind you, I do like the look of platforms on other women, but it's just not for me . I might actually try one of those hidden platform kind of shoes soon . emmah
I think that the small built-in platsforms of Louboutin are ok, but I dont like the big platforms for myself. I can look great on others tho!
M-a
I like to wear stripper platforms from time to time and I use heels with built-in platforms pretty often. “Sometimes you have to sacrifice your performance for high heels” www.heelsoholic.com
Stacey
I will admit I wear and love platforms, all the way from low to extremely high 8 inch "stripper" platforms. Obviously there is a time and place for everything, but super tall platform sandals or boots can look great with the right outfit. I'm also a big fan of platform wedges. Eveninglady
I personally love all Shoes & Boots, but when wearing very high heels the platform, of which i prefer concealed platforms, unless they are peep toe, look great. They aid in walking and stability too, and usually have a little more padding for better comfort than single sole Shoes and Boots. There is just something to wearing very high heels, especially platform based even if they are a small platform right up to two inches. Apart from making you tall, i find they make me walk tall too, ie, straighten my spine, shoulders back and have better posture, oh maybe thats to prevent me falling over due to being so tall ! but hey, love them
tmuk
I am only 5 foot tall so wearing platforms is nice now and again to feel like I am tall! Plus they enable me to wear higher heels (7 inch plus) and not feel too uncomfortable. Melanie x
april
I'm really not the platforms type of girl. But I love the designs they make for platforms. It's high-fashion, trendy, and all that.
Vix
up until six months ago i hated them until i found a very nice pair very cheap and i had to have them,
redstiletto
I voted for the second option. Yes, I do like and own platform shoes and boots, and I'll wear them if I feel like making a statement without the sex appeal added. And they are more comfortable besides. So I can have the height, along with some comfort.
tay912
I love platforms because you can really add extra height without making it too obvious!! xx
barbara
I did buy a pair of platform slides and am amazed how comfortable they are.
gg_highheels
I don't like platform heels. I think of them as being "stripper heels". I am tall as it is and don't like the extra height from the platform. Having said that I own two pairs. I have a pair of white platforms that I bought on sale that I wear on occasion. I am amazed at how comfortable and easy they are to walk in, especially given their height (6 inches). I also have a pair of black platform pumps that I bought by mistake and I hardly ever wear. So far they pretty much spend their time in the closet keeping my sneakers from getting lonely.
Kaygirl
I don't like platforms myself. I only have one pair of boots that 'might' be considered platforms. I only have it because it's not too obvious. I think heels are for accentuating and enhancing legs, although the height is nice as well . At 5'2, I can use all the height i can get. Extreme platforms are too bulky and draws attention away from the legs. -Sue
karen
Hmm, it really depend on the shoe. I don't like really high platforms because I think it takes the feeling away from wearing actual heels. I love the Michael Antonio's platforms. Not too high, but perfect. I could wear them all day and at times, run in them too. Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but she did it backwards and in high heels. -- Faith Whittlesey
