e Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Bought the wife a pair of 5" cone heel sandals for around the house. Ladies, will she like them and what's your experience? Thanks.

roz Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hard to say without a picture, plus it all depends on taste and how it compares to the rest of her collection, and what she normally wears around the house.
e Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 Here's what they will look like. Hoping they will be a little more stable and comfortable AND sexy. What do you think? http://www.shoebuy.com/pleaser-sweet-401-2/242561/519508
jwhite44 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Just taking a guess, they should be a bit more stable, since there's more surface area on the heel than the traditional stiletto (pointy) heel.
Stilettoscot Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I agree with the stability as i've tried cone heels on here before. But, they're not (IMO anyways) as easy to walk in... Walking in ultra-highs because it's exciting...and it is!!
mackman69 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 im a man that loves heels and i like those and id wear them around my house
shrimper Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 e, which part of the house are we talking about? Do you have a pole in the basement/bedroom?
roz Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 They're nice shoes and I have a pair, but I can't speak for her in saying whether she'd want them or not, or whether she'd want to wear them.
e Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Now that I have them, don't know if the wife will like them. It'll have to be a VERY special occasion, presented gently... Here's what they look like again: http://www.shoebuy.com/pleaser-sweet.../242561/519508
e Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 I'm surprised how little feedback I've received from the women on this board... I'm hoping some gal out there will help me give these to the wife, perhaps for valentines day?

That almost make things sound a bit fishy... Give them to her as a present, no special occassion needed, just tell your wife you wanted her to have something nice.. You can ask for girls' advice as to what she may think of shoes you're going to get her, but you can't expect a girl to give her the shoes ... if that's really what you meant.
Puffer Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 CONE heel? I realise that is the seller's description, and can see why, but surely that is a flared heel (although it might have other names as well)? Quite a nice shape with reasonable delicacy and a broader tip which might be more stable for some wearers. A true cone heel, as I recall, was fat at the top and tapered fairly evenly to a narrowish stiletto-like tip - in other words a 'fat stiletto' with none of the latter's curvy elegance. They are still seen, unfortunately.
Amanda Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I'm surprised how little feedback I've received from the women on this board... I'm hoping some gal out there will help me give these to the wife, perhaps for valentines day? I think they're awful. (sorry Roz but it's my honest opinion) I agree with shrimper, you should get a pole to go with them or at least a piece of rope and a chair.
