  1. I spent most of today tottering around Covent Garden and Kings Road in London wearing 3.5" black stiletto suede boots. Though I wore boots cut jeans, the heel was obvious if you glanced at my feet by an inch or more. I also didn't try to hide them when on the train or sat down. I tried quite a few pairs of boots on in Dune and Faith and also independant stores. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Apart from avoiding walking past a building site, I had no fears or worries and wearing them and being seen. I almost went to my nearest main town (Reading, UK) in them, but had reason to go to London so didn't. That's how relaxed I feel about wearing heels now and it feels very good indeed.

  2. Bought loads of shoes and boots via ebay and almost all have been brilliant. I've no problem with them having been worn before as they're nearly all new, or as near as you could hope for. It's no different to buying a pair of shoes from a shop which have been tried on by 50 people prior to your purchase. Think about that, eh?! As for "tranny" or other such search words, they're a waste of time. As a cross-dresser, I know what clothes I want and have never searched for TV, x-dresser or any other such tag. Neither would I expect would anyone else. I can only image people looking for the cheapest of thrills would do this.

  3. Good for you Crazyewok, I'm glad you've had your first outting. It gets easier believe me, but the thrill never dies. Don't worry about shop assistants, they're there to sell shoes, not judge you. If one does, that's their hard luck, you are allowed to wear exactly what pleases you. You can always complain to the manager if you want. I did once and the assistant got taken off the floor straight away. I never saw them there again either. I hope you have many happy hours shopping and wearing your heels.

I hope you have a great time and if you want to, go for it big style!!!!! :chuckle:

  5. I had a wander up to London yesterday to check out the Winter styles. I wasn't wearing anything too provocative, just 4" block heels with a well-cut pair of jeans, a T-shirt with a cool design and a leather jacket.

Why then, for the first time in my life, did one guy in Aldos and another in Selfridges ask me,

"Are they for a present for someone?"

OK, I've been working out at the gym, not for any other reason but to keep in shape, but I've not bulked up too much and, secondly, I've been getting older. I just wonder, why the change in response from salespeople?

When buying I always try the shoes or boots on first. To ensure the absence of doubt, I always say to the sales assistant, "I'd like to try these in a 7 please". Never fails :)

  6. Okay Mr. Power, tell us the truth.

Deep down inside, you liked the way they felt on your feet, they were fun to wear and you regretted having to take them off. . .

    . . . and you're keeping them . . .

. . . and you are wondering what it would be like to wear them outside the kitchen, or even outside the house! :)

Why else would he dream up such an article? 'Cos he's wanted to wear heels for ages and this is his excuse. Fair enough, we've all made excuses to wear heels in our early days. I hope he finds the strength to admit to himself at least the attractive is too much to resist.

  7. Did it in full heels!!! Was there 7-8am Monday. Oh well, we cant all get the best times but there were still a fair few peple about! My voice sounds wierd (to me). I blame the mike but my art was supposed to visual anyway... Check out Plinthers for that time for the full motion footage. Photo attached from the studio afterwards....

    I'm impressed 5inchlover!!! Totally support you 100% :)

  8. Hi Loswabs,

Make sure you dress in a laid back but midblowingly integrated way. Don't just focus on your shoes.

It depends mostly on the type of night being put on by the club. I'd say the best bet would be the Hanbury, Komedia, Audio or one of the many gay/mixed bars in Kemptown. Dynamite Boogaloo actively encourages craziness in it's night's. The Eagle Pub is great too.

Also try Margot's parties. They are amazing and always have great themes.

    AVOID West Street!!!!!!!

    Good luck,

    Ben

    Thanks Ben, much appreciated :)

  9. I'm thinking of taking a short break to london and going out in my heels all day. Good idea or bad?

Places where I've worn 4" heels and felt totally safe are Oxford Street, Kings Road Chelsea, Camden Market, Carnaby Street, Bond Street, Covent Garden, Knightsbridge (I gave Harrods a miss as they have a dress code and I didn't want to be barred for wearing heels), Bond Street, South Kensignton. Basically, anywhere there may be "money" as you're less likely to be confronted by a meathead. I'd avoid Bermondsey, especially if Millwall are at home :)

Good luck and enjoy the thrill. When do you plan to visit?

  10. Hi, Where are you from in Uk? What kind of clothes do you wear with your heels? Where in London were you thinking of hanging out?

I'm only asking because like any big city there are areas where I wouldn't want to go whilst wearing a t shirt, trainers and jeans, let alone heels!

I would recommend Oxford St and Soho, the posher end of Notting Hill or around Brick Lane in East London.

It's also worth considering coming down to Brighton (where I live) as the town is full of Hippies, Electro kids and Trannys.

    Good luck,

    Ben

    Hiya Ben

Do you have any clubs or bars which you could recommend for guys in heels, not necessarily fully TV?

    Thanx
