  1. This week with the combination of warm weather with occasional heavy showers leaving deep water puddles on the streets I found the most comfortable shoe to be my platform wedge mary janes who gave me sufficient air at the top but kept my feet dry at the bottom. The dark socks are sometimes worn to minimise exposure of this typical girly shoe as worn by this 50 year old man.

  2. Hi Vanessa, It indeed is a pitty we didn't meet that day. Next time you are in the country please drop me an e-mail, I'm interested in that chaussée de Wavre store but have no clue where it is and you might point me out some other stores I don't know. The picture was taken by my Dutch friend and you will be able to read all about it on my next update of my website. Besides taking some pictures, he also shot some moving images of me in my new jeans boots in the centre of Hasselt on a crowded afternoon. Of course we go in the shoe stores and try styles. To my surprize I got very little reaction to my outfit. The long delay in answering was caused by a broken pc and a two week holiday in Corsica (in sarong and platform sandals).

  3. I had a pair of 8-inch boots with 4-inch platforms but sold them because they saw little use. I'm only 1m70 flat but had problems hitting lights and door posts, couldn't drive my car with them because my knees were hitting the steering wheel even with the seat full back, walking on flat surfaces was easy (after a while) but any side sloping surface was damned challenging and dangerous. I imagine yours to be ok for occasional homewear and wish your boyfriend a happy birthday and much fun in his new heels. ps: I'll remind you of my birthday in a few months.

  4. Hi, I know Emery (from e-mailing him during almost 2 years) and would be glad to add his experiences to my guest section or tips and thoughts of my website http://walk.to/highluc

The only reservation is the timeframe because I leave for a 2 week holliday in Corsica next monday. Please keep me informed, Highluc

  5. Hi Laurie, thanks again for this last report combining very well your inner thoughts with the actual progress in heel heigth. I sometimes also think keeping up my diary on the "about me" pages of my website takes a lot of time and is of no interest to anybody but I often get e-mails of people who thank me for that. They find it interesting and even motivated some to start wearing heels themselves. I think your reports are excellent in that perspective and might help others overcome their fear and reservations to wear nice heels in their normal life. I know of no other place where you can read a honest and accurate report of somebodies experiences going from rarely wearing heels to going almost full time in almost extreme heels. Usually you only read these things from a fetishistic perspective, not a normal life like yours. I hope your burnout will only be of short duration because I for sure am interested in your progress nand experiences. Throwing in a little rant helps keeping the attention and to be honest, I prefer this style to your former "power postings". Keep up the good work and keep us informed please. Highluc, an avid admirer.

  6. I've got a few pair and like to wear them, makes me feel a few decades younger when I have them on my feet. Just look at my website and see the pictures and descriptions. Enjoy your MJ's, Highluc

  7. Hi Bert, as you could read on my site these boots have a compromise between a square and pointy toe. I have about 2cm of room till the square ends and there is sufficient vertical space for my toes. I just still have some problems with my high upper arches and don't think you could close the zipper on this model with your larger feet. Apity because at 40 Euro in the sale and not having pointy toes they were a real find. Keep looking and enjoy your boots, cu, Highluc.

  8. I always have bought in their shop and not through the net but have found similar models offered with different heel heigths. It's amazing what they come up with from their stock room after any comment you make. It looks like somebody is listening to your critique by phone and quickly making alterations in the backroom to get the product ready within a few minutes. I would like to play Ali-Baba in that stockroom cavern for a weekend. All the ones I got so far are over 4 inches. Besides that, I'm not fascinated about the real heel height, as long as they look great and feel right, I do not measure. I'm not in that kind of competition and only measure them back home for the benefit of the readers of my website. PS: I suppose Jeff was the guy who was able to convince Silhouette to sponsor our forum: congratulations for this achievement. Anyway they owe it to us because I would like to see how much money all of us have spend at their store the last year, for me it's over 300 Euros and I've seen quite some money going over the counter during the first Euro heel meet.

  9. I bought these last week, never had summer boots before but I had to follow the trend. More details on my website under BK14 boots on the knee high boots picture page.

  10. As you can see in the pictures below I am different as most on the streets, but it's really me. This feels natural and good to me. I do not dress that way to be different but to be myself. By the way the boots are my BK9, the ankle lenght jeans skirt is the one I bought in Portugal (see diary on my website for more details). The place the pics were taken was the Avenue Louise in Brussels on 11 jul 2002 during my sales shopping trip. This is the upper class shopping district in Brussels. Any comments on this outfit from the guys or girls?

  11. Thanks webmasters, this new look is great and easy to use. Lots of extra features which are all handy for a computor illiterate as me. I think this might help overcome some initial reservations of some guys from the old board to make the switch. Keep up the good work and happy heeling from Highluc. PS: after posting I also get that funny page telling me the subject doesn't exist or something similar. I get this from my Win.ME in Belgium and from Win98 in Germany.

  12. For the winter I would choose soft black leather thigh high rounded toe boots with a 5-inch vane heel on a 1/2inch platform and a golden zipper in the back, from the heel till the calve. For summer I would like flesh leather coloured slingback sandals with assymetric straps over a light wooden or cork tapering wedge sole around 4-1/2 inch high. After traveling all over the world since 30 years in search for those, I still havn't found them. All help is welcome to obtain them in size 41 (10B).

  13. Today the Belgian Parlament discussed the right to request political assylum and naturalisation for that one El Fatah Arabic terrorist that Belgium decided to accept after 9 of those guys got spread around Europe after transiting through Cyprus when they got "liberated" from the Betlehem church. The opposition is furious that our country allows an internationally recognised Arab terrorist to apply for assylum. We need a Belgian Pim Fortuyn ASAP. Today the police picked up 50 Afghan people throughout the country. These people organised the smuggling of hundreds of Afghans through Europe with final destination UK.

  14. Coffee and coke causes acid in my stomach and I cannot stand the taste of tea. This leaves me drinking about 2 liters of mineral water every day. On the social side I like lager beer and can handle quite a serious amount (if required?). I also like good malt whisky but if thirsty like CC7, a mix of Canadian Club with 7 Up, very refreshing. As a "pousse" I like half and half which is a mix of Cognac and Grand Marnier in equal quantities. The mix eliminates the hard taste of cognac and the soft taste of Grand Marnier. Give it a try one day, you might like it.

  15. To answer the original question of this tread, I had a ball yesterday playing hide and seek with my thigh high stiletto boots in a restaurant. Read more details on the May report on my website.
