  1. Welcome, bob2hh! I look forward to your comments! I've tried stiletto heels on one or two occasions, and while I love how they look and feel, I agree that you have to take care in them. For general walking about I quite like wedges, but i can see that a chunky block heel would also be good. I loved the story about the furniture store! That's where I'd like to be too! Well done.

  2. No, I've never had that. I also either get crushed toes or a burning sensation under the ball of my foot. Now that I'm more careful with what I wear, I get less of those sensations. I've found that anytime my feet feel a little sore, either wriggling my toes or just walking around a bit helps. This is part of the reason I don't often drive in heels any more.

  3. [They help me to relax. When I wear my boots to bed, I fall asleep very quickly and have nice dreams.

Still no idea. I tried last night, lay in bed awake for an hour, but I couldn't get to sleep. So I decided to get a drink, but by then my toes had gone to sleep, so I couldn't walk in my heels. So I ripped the heels off, flung them on the floor, then went to get a drink. After tripping over my shoes, I decided that this was one idea I'd leave to the experts, and crawled back to bed. I finally fell asleep at about 2am, which is probably why I look like hell now, as I'm exhausted! I even nodded off for five minutes, but was woken up by the phone, fortunately.

  4. Oh, I don't know. I tend to prefer cuddlier, woman-shaped women myself. I don't see the attraction of muscular women, altho' that's probably because I'm fairly pear-shaped myself at 5'9" in socks and 12st, and I can't take the competition

  5. I'm delighted, Francis. Well done also on passing your forklift test. And good luck on finding a job - if you need a hand, just ask. (Oh, and Highluc, "bureaucracy" in the UK implies "crazy". Not to mention any number of less polite words, such as "jobsworth", which essentially means someone who applies the stupidest rules they can find irrespective of the situation.)

  6. Hey Yamyam,

are you now starting a discussion about 'SHOEBAGGING' ?

    micha :drinking:

Perhaps! I'd just assumed that texasbumpkin would have a handbag, but obviously not. I suspect being hit with a bag full of shoes might be very painful! Especially if it was a bag of extra-spiky shoes. Let's just see if Hoverfly is okay after that experience, then he can tell us how it felt!
