I enlarged this quite a bit so I could see what the ladies were wearing. Not one heel in sight. Sign of the times I guess, sadly.

This promo video for Louboutin 'Trouble in Heaven' perfume is worth watching! (I have to say, however, that I prefer women with a few more curves.)
The video that automatically follows this one is quite nice as well. Ladies in heels - seems as it's becoming a thing of the past.

Is that a brand of shoes or a style of shoe? Not familiar with butterfly shoes.

Looking good chesterx. Finally able to dine at a restaurant, albeit outdoor seating only, last Friday. I was shocked but very pleased to have a couple come in and be seated at a nearby table as she was wearing a pair of black suede stilettos that looked to be close to a 5" heel. Don't see ladies in shoes like that but once or twice a year in my neck of the woods. Made my evening!

Heel height is well beyond my capabilities, but I love the design of these. DOuble instep straps with a sling back plus some nice toe exposure. Very nice!

If you shrink by the water method, they will stretch out again in a fairly short time.

Thank you. Maybe you should try again
Thanks, vinheel, but I'm too old for heels that high! lol.

I'm jealous, though those temps in the 100's can be a bit brutal with pounding sunshine. I know, it's a dry heat.....lol. But still not ideal for a golfer like me!

I ran into a friend at the store a couple days ago while wearing my new wedges. I did have on long jeans so they weren't overly visible, but if he had looked down, he would have noticed. Fortunately, he did not and we went our separate ways. At this point in my life, I'd rather not try to explain things to folks, so I was glad to not have been noticed.

Sweet. I love the bows! These would qualify as girly!

All,
Have been Out West for 7 weeks first closing and breaking in a new winter home in Yuma, Arizona so I was not here. 43 days in Yuma and 43 days of sunshine many of them cloudless will raise anyone's spirits. We returned via national parks in Wyoming, North and South Dakota. Saw this thread and wanted to present the following. Glad to see a new contest. I think a maximum of 5 entries for the year should be about right. Far fewer entries to scan and consider for the judges and this lower number should result in more selectivity among the contestants. I like the bonus points for a full body shot outside. An exception should be made for obscuring the face for those who are not comfortable. Photos can be submitted in any month up to 31 Dec 2020 and can be in any natural position sitting, standing, leaning, and in any sort of setting like a yard, the street, getting out of a car, etc. but should comport to norms of decency (no shots on the toilet like Tech said). Contestants should put their best foot, or heel, forward. All of us want to do homage to the high-heeled shoe or by extension to the feminine form in general. This is what I think was originally intended. I look forward to it
. That's my opinion on this. Respectfully submitted. HappyinHeels
Was wondering why we hadn't heard much from you lately. Nice to have a winter place in Arizona! I should be so lucky. Did you do much healing under those cloudless skies? Just wondering what the men in heels climate is in Yuma AZ.

Thanks guys! It sure felt good to get out in heels for the first time in a long while.

Sympathies to you both

Yeah. What it all boils down to is, hope like heck you don't get the fungus!

I had a chance to wear the b.o.c. Apple wedges pictured above for some shopping today. While I have had a couple pairs of wedges in the past, that was prior to me taking my heel wearing public, so I never really had much real experience walking in them. I now understand when the ladies (and guys here) talk about the greater comfort of wedges despite their height. These were very comfortable and stable to walk in despite the 4" heel height (mitigated I admit by a small platform under the forefoot). Typically, after an hour and a half of shopping and walking about, my feet would be aching and feeling a bit numb, I had next to no discomfort and could have kept going for some time yet. I could feel the height and enjoyed that, but didn't miss the discomfort. Might not be the last wedges I ever own!

Chicago is the same Jeff. And it's spreading to the suburbs as well, and continuing today. I support the protesters. The looting is shameful.

Hope the laser treatment works for you. I've read a lot about it and it seems like it's still not foolproof. And the continued aftercare sounds tedious as well. I was going to try the laser treatments before my other health issues popped up. Now it seems kind of senseless for me.

Height is out of my range, but they look nice!
With stores finally open, I was able to pick these up Friday. Apple by b.o.c., size 11, 4" wedge heel. Got them on sale at DSW for $19.99. I've never really been a big wedge fan, but I tried these on last fall and liked the way the felt and walked in the store. Nicely padded in the ball of foot which helps with my medication related foot issues. Didn't buy them at the time as they wanted $50 and it was going into winter with no real chance to wear them. Looked again back in February but they were still $40 then and still being winter, again, I wouldn't be able to wear them. Took the chance that they might still be on the sale rack, but then the lockdown came along. Had looked online and saw price was down but I couldn't do a store pickup, which I needed to do, so I let them slide again. Finally, store open, lucky to still find them on the sale rack in my size, and at the right price! Wore them for a while Saturday. Will need to get the front straps to loosen up a bit but seemed pretty comfortable, though the heel height feels higher than I remembered in the store. This is the shoe, but mine are brown.

@Logjam, I'm glad you got your problem resolved. I know there are manifold reasons why some of y'all have artificial nails, but all this talk about acetone, Dremel tools, &c. is making me never, ever want to mess with any of it. Thankfully, my natural nails are acceptable, though not exactly beautiful.
I'm with you sir! I could see typical nail polish removed with a simple wipe off with polish remover such as my wife does. But once you get into tools and chemical wraps you lose me...
Of course for me, toe wise, I could not do any kind of polish as I contracted that damn nail fungus crap about 25 years ago.

I'm sure it's just the angle of the photo but the new pair actually looks smaller than the old pair, which makes the foot slide even more puzzling.

Ah, yes, closed captioning. Having a hearing problem myself, I always have the closed captioning set to "on" when I watch TV. It ranges from ok at times to absurdly funny, to being incomprehensible. What I find disappointing is the lack of progress in getting it to work properly. Due to the shelter in place and lack of current sports, I have been watching things that were live broadcasts 15-20 years ago, and I can say without a doubt that the closed captioning is no better now than it was then.

I now know much more about composite decking! Just curious, could they maybe have made advancements in the last few years so that the newer stuff holds up better?
