  1. My Naturalizer Daquiri sandals came today, and I love them! They are in the natural canvas color, size 11M, and the brown stacked heel is 4" high, with a 3/4" platform. They are easy to walk and stand in, and I look forward to wearing them everywhere. I have them on today with dark denim capri pants and a beige polo shirt. I will wear them around the house today to break them in, and maybe wear them to the office tomorrow. The arch is perfect, the width is perfect, and the fit is outstanding. They really feel good. The only criticism I have is that the front strap could be positioned back just a fraction of an inch so my little toes get under the strap more, but over time the strap should stretch a bit so it doesn't feel like my toes will end out outside the strap. It really isn't a big deal though. I look forward to writing a product review for Naturalizer, too!

  2. Bluejay, When I submitted my Naturalizer product review on the Kalei sandals a month or two ago, I think it was on a Friday, and they had the review posted by Sunday night. I thought that was unusual, but somebody must mind the web site over the weekend. If I were you, I would submit another review (or the same review if you still have a copy of the text). My guess is that the first one might be lost and they didn't get it. They have never refused to post a review of mine, and I always let it be known that I'm male. So please try again and see what happens. Steve

  3. At last !

Finally found a classic pump which is wide enough at the toe box.

A perfect fit and very comfortable. Looks like they were made for me :fine:

    Daniel,

We're glad you're pleased, but if that's all you're going to tell us, it's just teasing us. At least tell us the brand and style, where you bought it and other relevant facts. Your post isn't very informative without the details. Thanks,

    Steve

  4. Great review, Bluejay. It's quite clear that you are a guy and married, so I hope that opens a few eyes and educates some more people to the fact that guys can and do wear high heels. I would encourage you to post a similar review on the aerosoles.com web site as well. In fact, that's where I was looking for it. I didn't realize you were going to post the review on the web site of the place where you bought them. Nothing wrong with that, though. It can be on both! Did you buy the Daquiri sandals from Shoebuy.com as well? Where should I look for your review? Again, posting it to Naturalizer.com would be a good idea. And you can post your gender on that site, too. Steve

  5. Bluejay, I was just looking on the Naturalizer site today (slow day at the office!), and wondered if you had posted a review yet. I found nothing, unfortunately. Give it a day or two more and let's see if they come around. A couple of weeks ago I got an email newsletter from them and one column was written by the manager of retailing, or some such title. I wrote an email to the company and in the subject mentioned that it should be forwarded to her. I told her that I was a fashion forward male who liked some of their shoes and had bought a number of them over the years, etc. I received no answer so far. I checked out the Aerosoles Tapestry pumps and they look very tempting. There were only two reviews - one from October and one from February - and neither one appeared to be from you. They've published my reviews before, where I disclosed that I was male, and I hope they publish yours too. Please post if they do, as I might not remember to check. Anyway, I'm really glad to hear that you like the Daquiri sandals. Those are tempting, too. Enjoy wearing them! Steve

  6. Ok, let's collaborate. You do all the work to arrange it, and I'll show up. HA HA! Looking forward to seeing you then, Johnie! I'll bring the missus if she's not busy. Bring your gal, too. Hope to meet her. Who else wants to join us? Steve

  7. You're welcome, Bluejay, and thanks for the compliment. I think the interview went ok, too. In the future, I think I'll require the interviewer to wear a pair for a day before the interview. You can't see it in the video very well, but when I showed my nyloned foot to the camera, I was wearing Eurosoft black clogs with 3" heels. Steve

  8. KH, As you wish, of course. It's your time and effort and you're free to do whatever you like. You've done a tremendous amount for this forum and I and many others appreciate it. We hope you stay, or at least consider checking in from time to time. Your articulate posts are inspirational, and a lot of us have admired them, so while it's true that you don't owe this community anything, you're in a unique position to contribute ideas and motivation to people who appreciate it. A lot. Best wishes. Steve

  9. Just last night at the salon my wife and I visit, I was seated in the lobby waiting my turn for a manicure and pedicure. My wife had already gone inside to get her hair done. One of the hairdressers came out to the lobby, and caught my attention. She was petite, with skinny jeans, a beige flouncy top, and beige patent pumps. Me: Those are stunning heels and you look fabulous in them. Her (blushing from the compliment): Why, thank you! Me: What brand are they? Her: Mossimo Me: Oh, from Target? Her: Yes, I buy a lot of my shoes from there. Me: Good for you. They have some great styles. Have a good evening! Her: Thanks, you too! Wow, did I make her day! She was beaming! She didn't say anything about my Aerosoles "Born Free" sandals, but that's ok. Steve

  10. Wait a second, Bluejay! Clarification: The legwear news interview is NOT scheduled for ABC Nightline. It's scheduled for Cleveland WEWS Channel 5 TV 11 pm news. It will be on their web site, too, at http://www.newsnet5.com/

ABC Nightline inquired about mantyhose a few weeks ago, but nothing more has come of it.

  11. Don't forget to ask your dad what ridiculous fashions he wore when he was a teenager. Every generation wears trends of their day, and gets the disapproval of the older generations! Make him realize that it's just clothes and that you're still the same loving son he wants you to be. Steve

  12. Stormclaw, put yourself in your mother's situation. She'd like to know the whole story and is obviously seeking confirmation that you're ok. This is a perfect invitation for you to sit down with her and explain how you feel, that you're not alone (refer her to this forum for proof!) and that you're the same loving son you always were. Come out of the closet with your shoes on! Once your parents accept this aspect of your character, it will be a load off your shoulders and theirs, too. I'm sure they'd welcome the same relief. Go for it! Steve
