  1. You have a lot of sympathy here, because most of us have probably been in your shoes (so to speak) at one time, and we know the agony, embarrassment, and anxiety that comes with having to deal with this kind of situation. There isn't much more I can add. The advice above is excellent, and you would be foolish to ignore it. There is hope that with plenty of time and lots of baby steps, you can change her thinking. You have to have lots of conversation and discussion on the subject so you can each understand the other's point of view. If she is totally unwilling to change her mind, then drop her, because your desire to wear heels will never diminish and you will be miserable. What's worse, if she's that adamant over something like this, wait till something really important comes up. Marriage involves compromise and you can't control the other person or the relationship is doomed. She can voice her opinion but she shouldn't hold you hostage on this issue. Look for wiggle room. Is she ok with 2" block heeled boots or loafers? Start small and push the envelope for years and you'll get there. If you can't find any room for compromise, drop her. It'll hurt for a while but you'll find a woman with a more open mind on this subject and it won't tear you apart like this situation is doing now. Good luck! Steve

  3. Trouser socks made for and marketed to men are found at www.activskin.com . There are 4 different styles of thin, opaque knee high socks, and also sheer socks for men, as well as tights, pantyhose, and stockings.

It's really no big deal for a guy to wear thin socks. Activskin has thousands of customers who do. If you can fit into women's trouser socks, great, but if you need a bigger/longer sock for your feet, check the web site out.

  4. I would advise you to start with lower heeled boots with a non-stiletto heel - stacked, block, cuban - something a lot less "femme" in appearance, and wear them casually. Let your parents get used to the idea in stages ("baby steps") rather than scare them with something too wild. Don't hide the fact that the boots are women's but don't make a big deal of it either. Push the envelope slowly to give them a chance to adjust. Every generation does things to establish fashion differences from earlier generations; I'm sure your parents wore things that their parents disapproved of, too. But your parents love you and don't want to see you making what they consider bad choices in your life, so respect that, communicate with them, be totally honest, and be VERY patient. And if you want to get through college, I'd advise a spel-chekkor, too.

  5. My opinion is different. I like stockings. I don't like my foot against bare leather or synthetic materials. Nylons are healthier in that they allow the skin to breathe. In sandals this is not as much of a problem as in pumps and boots, but blisters can easily result if the shoe doesn't fit very well. Nylon keeps the friction from blistering the skin, so I think it's a good idea from a comfort standpoint. As to legs, there aren't many people past 30 who have perfect skin. Age takes its toll and veins and blemishes become apparent. Nylon does a great job of hiding those things and presenting a smooth, finished appearance. I really detest the jarring look of a woman in a business suit or classy dress and bare legs if the legs show uneven coloring, blemishes, veins, and other unsightly appearance. Steve

  6. I went to a party with Mrs. Steve63130 and I wore black clogs with a 3" heel that was tapered a little - nothing close to stiletto, but thinner than a block or chunky heel. They were on display the whole night in our hosts' kitchen/party room, in bright light, and of course nobody said a thing, as usual. In fact, most of the other guests removed their shoes upon entering the home and just wore their socks, but my wife and I kept ours on. The hosts never asked us to remove our shoes, so we didn't. Anyway, I would have been too cold in my stocking feet (literally - black sheer thigh highs). The rest of my outfit was a pair of khaki jeans, and a sweater over a turtleneck. It was a good party, but as I get older it gets more difficult to stay up to midnight! HA HA HA Steve

  7. I bought two pair of Nine West hh loafers ("Newhouse" and "Newkimmie") in 12M on Endless.com last week, and even with all the Christmas shipping chaos, they were delivered to me in 2-3 days. I was impressed. Sadly, neither of them fit well or were comfortable, so I returned them Monday and was notified by email today that Endless refunded my money in full. The entire event cost me nothing, as Endless paid the shipping both ways. What a great company! I highly recommend them. I don't recommend Nine West loafers, though. Steve

  8. Anything in the Activskin line, especially the sheer pantyhose and the tights with a fly opening, but also the stockings and knee highs. Everything is made to fit men. www.activskin.com Great company! I know the owners personally! LOL

  9. I'm not a fashionista, but I do carry a bag everywhere I go. I hate bulging pockets, and even worse, I hate forgetting to transfer stuff when I change pants or jeans, so I keep everything in my bag. I have only one, it's black fabric, with a wide strap that doesn't look femme, and although I've been seen by thousands of people, I've hardly ever been asked about it, which is kind of amazing to me. As there is a rule of physics that "the junk accumulates to fill the available space," my bag somehow gets filled with lots of stuff, which is why I prefer a small one, because if it were bigger, I couldn't lift it! Inside I keep house and business keys, 2 sets of car keys, extra house key, wallet, coins, handkerchief, small flashlight, reading glasses, sunglasses, clear nail polish for containing hosiery runs, small notebook, pencil and pen, frequent buyer cards, small back-up jump drive, nail clipper, nail file, pocket calendar, mobile phone, small umbrella, and kitchen sink. I also have a black leather-like brief case (a bigger shoulder bag) for travel, which can contain my laptop, camera, file folders, magazines, and other stuff, and the small bag can nest into the big one so I still have only one bag on my shoulder. Both bags are black and go with everything I wear, so I never have to worry about matching or clashing. Shoulder bags are so handy, I don't know why more guys don't carry them. Women have it all figured out, and it's an accessory well worth carrying, in my opinion. If you're thinking of it, do it! Steve

  10. Im sorry if i have offended any body with my post in future i will keep that sort of info to myself and stick to the tpoic of heels forgive me cheers

No offense at all. I just wanted to provide some constructive criticism to keep you on the right track here and to prevent you from getting booted off the forum by the mods. You're very welcome here and we look forward to many fine posts from you in the future. Thanks for taking the criticism in the right way!

  11. ithink its amazing how you two are me and my hubby both wear heels together been together for 17 yrs he came out about 12 yrs ago it started out when i came home from work andi brought new nail polish and i said come here hun let me do your toes.and he said to me that night babe i think i need new panties..i thought nothing of it so i said go get some he did and showed me. they wernt normal boys ones they were frilly and girlie it soon led to him buying shoes, boots and i would come home from shopping with these new shoes i think he would loove and sure enough he did 12 yrs later dressing i wouldnt change him for the world i love him and her the sameway and i must admit i doget turned on when he shows me what hes wearing for the evening and if im not happy with whats wearing i tell him to put this and that on so i think more couples should accept there partners feeling bit more and enjoy the life you have togetherxoxox

Please stick to the topic of high heels. That's what this forum is about, not crossdressing, panties, or arousal in general. Many of us aren't crossdressers or interested in that subject, but we welcome everyone here; just limit the discussion primarily to shoes.

Also, please use punctuation and capitalization. It will make your difficult-to-read posts MUCH easier. It makes a big difference to know where sentences start and end. We're not sticklers for perfect English, just a comfortable level of legibility. Welcome to our forum.

  12. I appreciate that several posts saying I went to zvbdxrl's wearing thigh boots and no one paid any attention are a little boring to seasoned heelers but might be a revelation to new readers.

Hey, TBG! I didn't know you knew zvbdxrl too! I was just over at her place the other day and sure enough, no one paid any attention...

All seriousness aside, you have nothing for which to apologize. Your posts are interesting, well-written, with just the right amount of detail, and I enjoy finding your typos. Just kidding! Keep up the good work! You're a leader here and an inspiration to us all.

  13. The junk always accumulates to fill the available space - that's a given. So I had to agree with my wife not to carry the spare tire, the boat anchor and the kitchen sink in my bag. She's right. It no longer bulges and weighs me down! I don't wear skirts, but if you do, how else can you carry the necessary stuff? Most skirts don't have pockets and if they did, they would look terrible filled with stuff. Next time your wife says she isn't crazy about your skirts, tell her you're not crazy about her in pants, but you're willing to compromise. Steve

  14. But the real question is what kind of high heels should a MAN wear in the present of Her Majesty? Should a dude be subdued, as in boots or clogs with a 3" block heel? Perhaps a bit more pumped up with a thin heeled pump? Or on the bleeding edge with royal (what else?) blue platform stilettos and matching painted toenails? I'm concerned because you never know - she may contact me some knight to come visit her. If she wants an audience with me, I certainly want to wear the right shoe, as well as the left one, so your advice is welcome. Steve
