  1. I have several different SpeedLimit 98 heels and they are all about 6 inch with a 1.5" platforms.

I have many 5.5" heels with 1.75" platforms,

When I work I typically will wear heels for over 12 hours straight. Most of the time standing or walking.

Until they are willing to bite the bullet and admit the heels are for them, they'll just have to continue the "try and return" method.

There's no bullet to bite when you wear high heels into the store.

I would imagine those same women would say they've liberated themselves from wearing heels, preferring comfort over style.

I had women ask me how I can walk in heels all day long, don't they hurt. And I ask them why they buy heels that hurt in the first place? Their husbands or boyfriends usually laugh because they understand the logic of not buying shoes that hurt.

  4. You have to do what you feel comfortable doing.

If you shop a store, there is a high chance a sales associate will recognize you. This can be in your benefit. The small boutique shop close to me knows I want high heels and will show me what's knew in this range. The Steve Madden store, Aldos, ...stores in the large mall know me as a person who BUYS heels. They come over and chit chat, talk heels, bring out heels for me. I feel I get better treatment from the staff than other customers get. But I also wear heels when I shop.

I respect your confidence in that you wear your heels all the time, and realize it is mostly for health reasons.  I also respect your honesty in admitting that even a veteran heeler such as yourself can admit to being "nervous at times"....Don

Don - I'll even give you an example.

Tomorrow I plan do some shopping, then have lunch with friends. I'm going to a Steve Madden store, an Aldo Store (return/buy stuff), maybe a few other stores in a very crowded mall.  Back-to-School shopping with the crazy rich. I plan to wear my shorts, 90 degree plus out so my shoes will be on display. I am concern about which heels I should wear because I can only wear a few now as I recover from minor toe surgery.
