One of the reasons I have a difficult time posting photos, is because I'm so discriminating about the photo itself. I just can't shoot an iPhone pic of myself in a mirror. I'm a creative director at an ad agency and I hire photographers all the time, which makes me too picky. I have to pull out my DSLR, a tripod and set up delayed shutter -- it's just a lot of work. However, I"m going to shoot some more photos of my collection nonetheless. "Watch this space", as they say.

You guys worry to much. You are supposed to post pics like many young women do. You know, bedroom pics with dirty underwear and clothing strewn all over plus dirty dishes and take out boxes.

In most of the photos I post, I'm standing in front of a door. It's because I have set up a place I can just put my DSLR down with it's timer and take a picture before going off to work.  No tripod needed, no time setting up stuff or the "shot." And no mirror required.

I have been documenting parts of my life: what I wear, my finger nail art, toe nail art, and, of course, my heels. I don't know what I will be doing with this material yet. Lately I have been  taking pictures of my pants as I have been adding a few new styles to my wardrobe in an effort to show my heels and wear my knee highs on the outside.

And at one point in my life I was a Marketing Director.

  2. I wear Levis 311, front pockets are only a suggestion and I can't use the back pockets yet I find way to live without a bag. So it can be done.

As to how the coats are suppose to be tied look how they are displayed on the websites.  They usually will have several views on it with at least with it tied.

  3. @spikesmike I only pointed out that it would be an International convention, came up with a name, and what needs to be done to get a Convention". I too think that the chances this actually happens is extremely low. As you pointed out, many of our members have not been in heels in public. Many also have kept this hidden from their family.

  4. It's not going to be a National Convention,,,it's going to be an International Convention..

To pull off Heel-ly-con 202__ we need sponsors and vendors.

We need a location with flat streets...NO HILLS.

    We need activities.

I'm still looking for a shoe company or nail company to sponsor me.

  5. I have had two 50 pound check bags for each of the international trips including the domestic portion, while my niece had a carry-on only ticket on Norwegian Air - a very low cost carrier. I fly Southwest mostly now since my skis fly free.

But I also get a "shopping list" when I visit my family in foreign lands, so I need the space.

I wear heels all day, I do not know why I had them take off at the grocery store.

    Same here.

Several Sample/Display People at Costco will call me over to look at my heels and nails.

Not seeing much I like, though the Jared Leto boots were pretty decent.  The huge clunky platform stuff is just that - huge and clunky - and not appealing on most any level.  And the knee high riding boots leave me cold.  If they had a heel of some substance I could see it, but otherwise I personally see no appeal.  Just my take on things.

There might not be much to like about the overall looks. And certainly much has been taken from women's causal looks with the cross-cross,  "slashes", and one shoulder styles.  But with so many designers showing heels and boots this might catch on.  Showing styles with  boots outside pants, no matter how high the heels is, makes it more "mainstream" for me to wear my Jessica Simpson stiletto boots outside my skinny jeans.

I like to think of it as the fashion industry is following my lead.  When will they catch up to the 4 inch stiletto look? :giggle:
