  1. Sorry you are going through that. Best advice i can say is marriage is often many different marriages over the course of its run. You either grow, change and adapt together or you don't. Shower the other party in kindness, no matter how they are to you - Thats hard to do but it puts them in a position that has them stare at their own conscious.

As for feminization in general, she knew about it as you say and that puts in back on her for the choice as how to react/honor it. I think many women struggle with the idea of a feminized partner even if they started out wanting that but as traditions of the past fade, things get better. My own supporting spouse has had moments of "what did i get myself into? " and we have been married many years.

  2. Nice outings!

I think my own observations on women's shoes are often tied to the weather, day of the week and location of the country. More casual and less coverage in warm weather and on weekends. Here in the PNW, you tend to see a lot more heels and ankle boots in the non-summer months. The flip flops and flats are out in full force in summer.

  3. Sounds like a great trip. You are always going to have close-minded people to deal with if you go to the edges of things. With regard to the fears of your spouse, it's not uncommon. I have been on the MTF path for many years and have always gone at a pace she feels comfortable with. Most often they find that their worst fears are baseless or products of cultural bias and deserving of change.

  4. Like you, my daily wear is women's jeans ( i actually own zero male clothes, unless you count a couple pieces that i saved for sentimental value), i prefer skinny jeans and i probably wear heels 4 days a week.  I have a lot of other style jeans but nothing other than leggings/jeggings shows of nice shoes like skinny jeans.

I've seen the culottes  and flair jeans coming back into style and i've started to buy some of those styles, which make it rather hard to highlight the shoes. I guess we'll have to go to 70s style platform wear.

  5. Awesome! i have been getting pretty much monthly pedicures for the last 5-6 years or so. It gets easier and easier as you do it more. The lady who does mine has become a friend.

I usually go for plain flip flops when i go in because then i do not have to go under the lamps or wait for them to dry. Done and gone :)

  6. Exactly FS75 - A tunic top or a long t-shirt with leggings/jeggings and even skinny jeans is a look i go for often.  Back when i still had male clothes, i could not find many things in that side of the store that fit that description. H&M in the US is starting to do more feminine men's wear and that includes tunic type tops.

  7. I have about three handbags that i carry regularly. The largest one allows me to carry a Macbook Air in it. Other than that i am usually carrying:

    - mobile phone

    - car and office keys

    - wallet

    - USB thumb drives

    - earbud headphones

    - Mascara

    - Eyeliner

    - Lip gloss and or neutral lipstick (I'm getting steadily braver on the makeup area)

    -coverup

    - Meds

    - Sunglasses if i'm not wearing them

    - occasionally an iPad air mini

  8. My feet are shrinking i believe because of hormones. I'm finding some 9s/9.5s that fit me for the first time in my recollection. You don't see a lot of women's half sizes for some reason. I was shopping yesterday and i saw them in things like converses etc but not as much as in heels.

One thing i have noticed is that younger women's feet seem to be larger. I believe this has been backed up with some research, and the evolution theory is that athletics before childbearing is preparing the future generation for more athletes :) I've noticed that stores that cater to younger women such as Rue 21 have lots of 10s and 11s in their cheaply made but cute shoes.

  9. . But don't really have the figure for skinnies and such either. I found middle ground in slim fit trousers which are a little short-ish so thet fully show my heels.

I would not worry about donning skinny jeans or leggings - plus size women do all the time and look great in them :)

  10. If anyone asks me if i'm gay - I usually reply something lie; " does it matter?" Parents are often pretty traditional and do not get things out of the mainstream. Their brains default to the first cliché or caricature about things like this. You now have the opportunity to educate them and expand their world. If they are resistant, at least you tried.

  11. I have seen others in heels and very low key MTF transgender folks. I'm trans so my radar for that sort of thing is often on. The thing is, it's hard to always tell how someone is presenting themselves. I've seen a guy with men's sandals women's earrings and polish on his toes. Technically he's crossdressing, he is just being fairly stealthy about it.
