  1. Sandals with barely a heel but i like thong sandals - inexpensive from Famous Footwear

2nd pair : Wasn't sure where to put these: under boots or shoes. They are really sorta " Shoeties" - Tracy is the brand - inexpensive but comfortable and i like them for wearing in the office.

  2. We are going to see more and more of this. As one article said, that generation is " over gender ".

Personally i think there is going to a pedulum swing to the feminine again for men, to counter the " hipster lumberjack " thing that is going wild now :)

  3. Without exception all family and most friends have been positive. I guess i hang with a pretty liberal bunch and perhaps because i dress fully femme its more accepted? I don't know .

The few negative or semi-negative reactions i have had over the years, have usually been questions like why would you want to? What's wrong with being a traditional guy? Aren't you afraid people will make various conclusions about you? Valid questions if asked in the right spirit perhaps.

  4. Pushing the envelope is awesome and great outfit. You're right quite femme but makes a strong statement. I am completely comfortable in women's in my wardrobe which is almost all women's attire but more in the lines of jeans, slacks, shorts tops etc. I need to step outside my box and wear more skirts/dresses in public places other than my office.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. I too have ordered items of AP. Skirts and blouses thus far. Agree they generally run 1-2 sizes small but so worth the price. I've only received 1/7 items not wearable.

  6. Yeah, that would bug me too. I don't know how I would handle a situation like that. Probably differently than I would have a year ago.

One of the very few negative experiences I've had was when I was with my wife and one of our kids. Guy had some nerve saying to my wife, "Did you know he's wearing women's shoes? That's kind of gay." My wife shushed me, and nothing came of it. I'm still at a loss to know how to react to that one. Obviously, some people cannot be troubled by etiquette of any sort.

I had one somewhat experience where my big athlete of a son defended me by saying " what its to you jerk? " My wife probably would have replied..." no you can't ask him out "

  7. Hi Steve,

Thanks! Really liking them and helping me to feel spring-like today. I'm wearing a 41, because the 40 seemed a tad tight but overlall pretty true to size. It does seem like the toe box has stretched out a bit from a few days of wear but not in a bad way.

    Robbie

  8. The points about the positives of being seen and being cool about it are right in my opinion. This is the way we pave the way for others. The pettiness of such interactions aside, often people are really curious when the see something outside the norm. I was in a mall once walking behind a heavily pierced and tattooed couple. I was watching the looks and reactions, very interesting indeed.
