Agree - Here in Oregon its not exactly a "formal" part of the US such as New York, Chicago etc. It's the laid back northwest and i see heels of some sort on women every day. A person working in the office group across from mine today, high heeled boots, as an example.

We are going to see more and more of this. As one article said, that generation is " over gender ".
Personally i think there is going to a pedulum swing to the feminine again for men, to counter the " hipster lumberjack " thing that is going wild now

I was out today in a coastal town - lot's of heeled booties, lots of flats and lots of tennis shoes. Was not warmer than about 55, but it was mainly sunny.

I like them as well. Great for skinny jeans.

Thong heels and wedges are awesome. I plan on buying new ones this spring.
-
I like those wedges a lot!

Without exception all family and most friends have been positive. I guess i hang with a pretty liberal bunch and perhaps because i dress fully femme its more accepted? I don't know .
The few negative or semi-negative reactions i have had over the years, have usually been questions like why would you want to? What's wrong with being a traditional guy? Aren't you afraid people will make various conclusions about you? Valid questions if asked in the right spirit perhaps.

Yeah both Vans and Converse list many of their line as Unisex if i am recalling correctly.

Pushing the envelope is awesome and great outfit. You're right quite femme but makes a strong statement. I am completely comfortable in women's in my wardrobe which is almost all women's attire but more in the lines of jeans, slacks, shorts tops etc. I need to step outside my box and wear more skirts/dresses in public places other than my office.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Be the change you want to see Those are great H&M T-Shirts. H&M is on that cutting edge and has amazing prices.

I would agree heels in winter are generally higher for me in winter as opposed to summer, but i think that is generally true of all fashion at present.
-
I too have ordered items of AP. Skirts and blouses thus far. Agree they generally run 1-2 sizes small but so worth the price. I've only received 1/7 items not wearable.
-
Great and encouraging - As a biological male that now owns almost zero males clothes, any trend that brings more femme wear to the masses is a good one.

Great outing!

I have so many jeans i'm afraid to take a count. I like AE, Hilfiger and Levis a lot, i also like store brands from Maurice and H&M. The prices are so low, how can you not buy them? In the expensive brands this is one of my current favorites from G-Star:

I have so many brands it would be hard to pick a single brand. I'm a big fan of jeggings from Maurice, and inexpensive skinny jeans from H&M. Like Levis and AE a lot, Hilfiger is nice too

Totally agree. I have just two pairs of black pumps at the moment, but definitely enjoy wearing them as the season goes from boots to non-boots.

Yeah, that would bug me too. I don't know how I would handle a situation like that. Probably differently than I would have a year ago.
One of the very few negative experiences I've had was when I was with my wife and one of our kids. Guy had some nerve saying to my wife, "Did you know he's wearing women's shoes? That's kind of gay." My wife shushed me, and nothing came of it. I'm still at a loss to know how to react to that one. Obviously, some people cannot be troubled by etiquette of any sort.
I had one somewhat experience where my big athlete of a son defended me by saying " what its to you jerk? " My wife probably would have replied..." no you can't ask him out "

Hi Steve,
Thanks! Really liking them and helping me to feel spring-like today. I'm wearing a 41, because the 40 seemed a tad tight but overlall pretty true to size. It does seem like the toe box has stretched out a bit from a few days of wear but not in a bad way.

Totally get " the way it happened" sentiment. It never ceases to amaze me how some people can be in public.

The points about the positives of being seen and being cool about it are right in my opinion. This is the way we pave the way for others. The pettiness of such interactions aside, often people are really curious when the see something outside the norm. I was in a mall once walking behind a heavily pierced and tattooed couple. I was watching the looks and reactions, very interesting indeed.
