  1. Wearing high heels did not come naturally to me, there was a learning curve but it was not that difficult.  Some practice and I was there.  As for other guys and heels, during my heeling "career" I have been complimented by at least two guys who expressed admiration and, for lack of a better word, jealousy over that fact that I was wearing high heels.  Both were complimentary and said they wish they could wear heels.  I smiled and told them that anyone can wear heels, you just have to want to do it.  I hope they took my recommendation.  Have fun....   sf

  2. I live in a smaller community and go to the same places frequently.  After a while folks see you in heels and may / may not say anything but, being human they certainly tell others about you.  Over the years, I have found out that quite a few folks wind up knowing that I wear "girls shoes."  It does not seem to effect my relationships or friendships which is nice.  People just get to know others by what they do.  Some collect stamps, have classic cars, unique jobs, whatever.  The fact that I wear high heels just makes "me" (and Mr. Mlrose) more unique for conversation.  Smile....   sf

PS....   When I was in Southern MN last summer for a wedding, at the reception there were some folks talking about a guy in central IA who wore high heels around town.  ha ha....

  4. Day 15 of self imposed isolation...  It’s getting boring...  We have only been out 3 times for a quick trip to the store, mask and gloves of course...  To brighten things up, this morning I gave myself a pedicure and put on my most favorite pair of heeled sandals.  Did not go anywhere yet,  no place to go, so will just hang around the hacienda or maybe take a drive to the high desert, lots of open - lonely - and pretty places out there.

As for the sandals, I have had these for several years now.  When I saw them I fell in love with them instantly.  The style and look simply appealed to me.  It was my first pair of “kitten” heels, I was a bit apprehensive about that but it has never been a problem.  The only thing I don’t like is they are not an easy slip-on off shoe.  They are made by VanEli and the style is Merlion, Size 11M.  The sandals are all leather construction, and are very well made.  I have worn these sandals a lot they feel great on, although I wouldn’t want to take a long hike in them. As with my other heels, most folks don’t notice or care, but I have gotten the most compliments  when out in these shoes, from both guys and gals, but mostly gals.  They want to know where they can get a pair.  Unfortunately, they have not been made for a few seasons.  Fortunately (for me) I had foresight enough to actually buy a second pair for when these give out.

The wife has a pair too,  but she is a slip-on gal and does not like them as much as me...

Here are a few pics of my favorite sandals along with my purple pedicure.....   Be safe all, stay isolated, this too will pass...  sf

  5. Bars and Clubs???  ha ha ha.....   I quit going to bars and clubs 20 years ago..  I'm too old and (according to the wife, no fun anymore - smile)....   But, I still do proudly wear high heels when out to dinner, shopping, social events and otherwise having fun.  Except for the past two weeks, ugh.  Of course I'm making light.  Have fun in the bars and clubs, but NOT until we get past this wuhan virus mess.  Stay isolated, Stay safe....  sf

  6. Yes it is, and time for a change.  This avatar is a pair of "cheapo" Fioni sandals from Payless Shoes (I certainly miss Payless) that I have had for a few years and absolutely love.  Wish I had gotten a second pair, sigh.  They have a 2 1/2 inch heel, slip on-off easily, look classy and are comfortable.  The larger heel is stable for walking.  These sandals are fun for errands, dining out or just running around town.  I would like to get another similar pair, but I have yet to find a similar style.  Still looking !!!

  7. mlrose......   Nice sandals.  I have few pair that are a similar style.  Easy on, easy off, and they look nice....  Lately I have been running around in these VanEli Melea sandals that I have had for a few years.  Love these sandals, comfy and fun to wear.

    Stay isolated.....    sf

  8. Nice sandals, but that heel is to high for me.....   I enjoy wearing high heels and when folks just "assume" that I am homosexual it bothers me.  If anyone cares (I don't) I am a straight guy who likes to wear high heels whenever possible - as simple as that.  I am certain that there are some gay guys who also wear high heels as well.  It is a choice.  A shame that some folks - perpetrated by the media in my opinion - equate wearing high heels with gayness....  sad...

I enjoy wearing high heels and that will probably never change.  Harrumph....    Stay isolated ......   sf

  9. Orange County (CA) locked down as well.  The wife and I have been home for a week.  Wearing heels around the house and in the yard.  Pretty much all my shoes are heels - ha ha.  Stay isolated, stay healthy, stay safe.

Things getting crazy......  But, this too will pass....

  10. I found this site when I was "surfin the web" way back in 2002 and been here ever since.  Glad I found it too.  Hard to believe it was that long ago.  I have ben attracted to gals shoes since I was a pre teen, not sure why, it's just me.  In 1996 I began to wear gals high heels and as mlroseplant says, "the sky did not fall."

Been wearing heels ever since.  The experience, details and stories of others here has helped me realize that I am not the only guy out "here" who enjoys wearing high heels.  Very nice indeed....

    Have fun all....    sf

  11. I don't shave my legs generally, but I do take care of the hair on my feet and toes.  I wear sandals almost exclusively and never liked the look of nice sandals with hairy feet - and I'm not that much of a hairy guy.  I tried shaving and that worked, but the ugly annoying "stubble" was there a few days later.  Years ago I tried using fine tweezers to pluck the hair out.  It took some time but got rid of the hair and my feet were hairless.  The hairs did grow back eventually but over a longer time period.  I continued to "pluck" and guess what?  I now have hair free feet and toes.  The constant plucking caused, for whatever reason, the hair to mostly stop growing.  About 90+ percent or more of the hair is not there anymore.  Gone.

It took some time and tenacity to regularly pluck the hairs, but it seemed to work and eliminating the hair was a pleasant unintended consequence.  Might not be for everyone but maybe something to consider.  After all, if you are going to wear sandals (guys or gals) you feet should look nice.  And consider a pedicure as well!!

    Have fun all......   sf

  12. Nice story....   I have worn heels to church and have gotten similar reactions.  Folks notice but don't seem to really care.  If / when the topic comes up I just tell them that I enjoy wearing heels.  Simple....

Good for you, have fun.....    sf

  13. Best of luck to you in getting this resolved.  I am one of the lucky ones who was a wonderful wife that is almost 100% OK with me wearing heels.  She knew that I wore gals flats before we married, I got into the heeling thing after about 10 years of marriage.  She balked at first but we talked about it in detail and actually had some counseling (we were there for other reasons but the heeling definitely came up).  The counselors, two of them - male and female - at different times, said they saw no problems with my desire to wear heels, but we needed to work it out as a couple, which we did - she's a great gal.  As an aside, I was actually very surprised by the counselors opinions, I was expecting to be told that my heeling was a destructive thing.  Nice.  Bottom line, for me the desire to wear gals shoes has been with me since I was a pre teen.  I do not know why, it's just there.  It won't go away, and me and the wife are both OK with it.

So, consider communicating your feelings with your wife, seek professional counseling, maybe have her take a look at this site, and this message.  Hopefully you can work things out.  I wish the best to you and your wife.  Smile......   sf
