  1. ALERT - CORRECTION...    REF my post dated December 21, 2019:

Original post:  Aside from a few Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event, I have never been heeling with another guy.  I mostly heel solo or with the wife.  When with her I have not noticed much difference from heeling solo (although a few times others would as her if / why am I wearing high heels, she tells them to ask me, they never do).

Edited version:  Aside from a few Walk a Mile in Her Shoes events, I have never been heeling with another guy, with exception of one time meeting another great guy from this site and his wonderful wife in LA.    I even have a picture as proof.  I mostly heel solo or with the wife.  When with her I have not noticed much difference from heeling solo (although a few times others would ask her if / why am I wearing high heels, she tells them to ask me, they never do).

Mr Steve.  More better??  ha ha  That was almost a year ago, we need to do it again...  Was fun....   Take care...   sf

PS  And Steve even bought dinner - unacceptable !!!   ha ha

  2. When in Vegas I wear heels everywhere.  But I wear heels everywhere anyway.  In Vegas it just seems to be more fun. Like bluesman says, there is so much activity going on that no one notices, and if they do, they don't care - unless you get a compliment, which has happened to me several times.  And that is nice.

One consideration, depending on where you are staying, getting around can involve a LOT of walking.  Not an issue in flats, but depending on your heel height and comfort of the shoes, a lengthy walk could be an issue.  Many times I have seen gals in heels struggling to get around (still looking for a guy in heels BTW).  Some gals even opt to go barefoot - yuck.  I would never do that.

    Enjoy yourself in Vegas.....    sf

  3. Last week the wife and I went to Vegas, we felt "fancy" and got pedicures at Caesars Spa.  Nice place.  Was a bit pricy but worth it.  The technicians are true professionals, and they did a wonderful job to prove it.  The gals were friendly, engaging and took their profession seriously.  Everything was done to perfection, trimming, cuticles, polishing, painting, all with great attention to detail.  Our toes were polished and painted so perfectly that they look like glistening little diamonds!  I even had them finish mine with a "neutral" color that looks great.  The pedicure took a bit more than and hour and even included mimosas.  Nice...

I have had pedicures at shops locally and they do a nice job, but the Caesars Spa pedicure was 1,000% mo bettah.  If you are wearing sandals, your feet should look nice.  The two of us have joked that we have the shiniest toes in SoCal...

    Have fun all....   sf

  5. Ahhh, Bakers Shoes (C H Bakers out here on the west coast as I remember)...   Back in the 70’s when I was a teen (I have been attracted to gals shoes for as long as I can remember) I began to explore shoe shopping and found Bakers.  In those days gals shoes pretty much only went to size 10, and I was a size 10/11.  Bakers was one of the few stores that had some shoes in size 11, thankfully that has changed over the years.

Those days I was shy/scared - I was just a kid - so I did not try on in the store, instead telling the store clerk that the shoes were for my “mom” or “girlfriend.”  I’m sure the clerk knew I was lying.

I had several pair of Bakers “Qualicraft” sandals that I wore a lot.  I actually still have one pair of flat strappy sandals from Bakers. Haven’t worn them in years. Maybe I will drag them outta the closet this summer....

Yes Bakers, great memories, a part of my world back then....  A guy who proudly wears gals flat and heeled sandals, love it...

    Have fun....   sf

  6. Mlrose.....   As for the vintage Sbicca sandals, it is hard to describe how they looked.  Search Google or Yahoo images for vintage Sbicca sandals and you will see what I am talking about....  They just had that 70's & 80's look that I liked.....   sf

So I will make an offer.  Any HHPlace members out here in the SoCal (Orange County) area want to test the theory, contact me and we can meet for lunch, coffee.  Would be fun....

    Merry Christmas all.....    sf

  8. Back in the early 80's I had a pair of Sbicca sandals.  Really liked them too.  Wore 'em till they fell apart.  The Sbicca shoes now days just don't seem to be the same form a quality and sizing standpoint.  Wish they would bring the "old styles" back......     sf

  9. Yes, foot jewelry, love it.  I have been wearing foot jewelry for years.  I have always been of the opinion that if you are going to wear sandals (I do almost exclusively) especially ladies sandals, your feet should look nice.  Foot jewelry is to me a necessary accessory to accomplish this.  I don't wear full time but I wear foot jewelry a lot.  I have two gold toe rings and two anklets.  The toe rings are different widths, and the anklets different designs so I can mix it up a bit.  I wear the toe rings on my second or third toes depending on the shoes that I am wearing.  I like the look, it just looks "classy."

When getting either toe rings or anklets, sizing can be tricky.  You just have to experiment until you get it right.  Anklets should be comfortable but not loose.  Mine are 11 inch in length.  I recommend getting real gold as well, at least 10 carat (mine are all 14 carat), I found that plated or non gold metals will turn dull and sometimes green with use and that is not a good look.

I have dealt with two vendors for both the wife and I (she wears both anklets and toe rings full time), OK here is the plug - toerings.com and sarraf.com.   Toerings has a great selection, and great return exchange policy.  Same with Sarraf, good stuff, great exchange policy.

Attached are a few pics...   Have fun, enjoy your foot jewelry....    sf

  10. Mlrose....   Well, like you I am a sandal guy as well.  I have two pair of clogs and one pair of pumps, the rest are sandals, heels, flats, slip-on, strappy, etc.  Out here on the west coast the wx is much more moderate than the midwest where you are.  I can wear sandals most all year long but on the cooler days (below 50 - yipes), I revert to the clogs and pumps, my toes get cold!!

I do wear sandals if I am going for a short distance, and not outside much.  Out here gals wear sandals in the winter but usually when indoors most of the time, but there are exceptions.

I can't imagine wearing sandals outside when the wx gets really cold like it gets out there, especially when there is ice / snow on the ground.    My daughter lived in Bozeman, MT for a few years, during winter sandals were non existent save for the gals (and occasional guy) working in an office.

Bottom line, if it works for you, and you seem to handle the heel wearing just fine, do what you deem best.  And keep your feet warm!!!

I do like the sandals in you last post - classy - summer or winter.

    Have fun.....   sf
