  1. A lot depends on the shoe size. Just a few weeks ago when I bought size 9 shoes from New look. The girl at the counter seeing the shoes were a size 9 asked me if they were for me and I said yes.

I'm a UK size 8 and nearly always when I buy shoes in high street shops the assistant will jokingly ask if they are for me.

I no longer get embarrassed because I find the best way to deal with a question like that is to jokingly reply "yes, they're for me, is it okay if try them on now".

As they open the box looking a little surprised, I just laugh and say "Nah, don't be silly, they're not my style, but the wife likes them!"

  2. Just got these today, and I know they're new and everything, but I think they're my new fave's!

6 3/4" D'Orsay, and suprisingly easy to walk in.

    Just gorgeous shoes!

    Wicked

Here are two pictures of my favourites, not quite as steep as Stilettoscot's though.

  3. Since it is a new year and I just hit my 1,000th post, I uploaded a new avatar. It is me with my boring side in the background and my more adventurous side emerging to the top. Its along the same theme as my last one, but it had my sides in more balance.

Yes it is me...and the shoes are Nine West- maybe the sexiest ones I own.

    Very artistic, I like it.

  4. women that wear shoes three times too small , so the top of there foot is like a huge loaf of bread :welcome: Yuk

And also ugg boots and them stupid croc things

Actually ugg boots on the right person with the right attire look quite nice and thats coming from a person who used to detest them. Having said that, there are a few different types of those boots and whilst some look okay others are quite grotesque.

I have to agree with you over women that wear shoes three times too small though.

  5. The first pair, I like the heel heigh, the second one, "V" shaped around the tops of the toes, and the third the rounded toe...

I like the rounded toe too, that and the platform helped sway me towards number 3.

As I say hard choice for you, could you not treat yourself to all three?

  6. Hard choice to make given that they're all black patent! I guess it depends on personal preference.

My choice would be number 3 first, number 2 second and number 1 last but I do like the platform pumps more than very high heeled pumps.

  7. My New Years Resolution is to tell my wife I wear heels!

    1) I owe it to her to tell her

    2) I am fed up with having to hide my heels and steal secret moments wearing them. I dont expect her to be jumping for joy, but I do not want to have to hide to part of me anymore. I would love to be able to have my heel collection in my waldrobe and wear them openly!

2009 is going to be the year - I just have to do it now. I know I should have done it years ago!

    Any advice???

Thighboots, I remember telling my wife (see http://www.hhplace.org/discuss/everybody/10920-almost_blew-5.html#post165980).

The only advice I can give is to pick the right moment to tell her, be prepared to feel very embarrassed and show her this forum. It is nice to have no secrets in a relationship and having told my wife, it was a real weight off the shoulders.

Good luck telling her and feel free to PM me if you want any more advice.
