When I originally read this thread I voted that my partner did not know about me wearing womens footwear. A few weeks after I voted I told her all about by obsession for heels and showed her my collection. Now, almost a year on my collection has grown, things are still great between us and now we can talk about and look at womens heels together openly. Having said that, the fact that I have no desires to heel in public means that it was an easy pill for her to swallow. I guess for those who do want to heel publicly, it may not be as easy for some partners to accept until public opinion changes.

Hi and welcome to hhplace. Glad things went okay with you telling your partner. It really is a nice feeling when you come clean and they accept it. Just knowing that there is no longer any secrecy in the relationship really makes you feel happy and at ease.

This last week I have found my self having a nose around some shoe shops looking for that magic pair. It would appear that nothing catches my eye at the moment, I guess I need to expand my searching. Having checked out Roz's forum, she always seems to find nice heels. I guess having a limited budget means I currently have no option to keep my search to cheaper shops for the time being but when I win the lottery I'll no doubt be heading for bigger and better shops. In the end I settled for a pair of black patent heels from Tescos which cost me £10. I think the heel size is probably 3 inch or 4 inch but I had to get them as they were missing from my collection. Next I hope to get a pair similar to those just bought but perhaps with a 6 inch heel next time. I'll get the camera out and take some pics I think. Anyway, I've gone on enough.

Both nice, but I particularly like the patent ones.

These wonderful Chloe wedges arrived yesterday. I ordered them from Browns and they're amazing shoes. Really comfy, the angle of them is totally perfect and they fit the arches of my feet almost as if they were sculpted just for me, lol. I haven't worn them out properly yet, have to wait for the weather to improve a bit.
They're an amazing black patent too, and it sounds silly but I love the grey buckles too. Black would have been lost and any other colour too showy.
These are probably my favourite purchase so far this year.
Very nice indeed Roz. Hope you don't mind me saying but I'm a frequent visitor to your blog and it as to be said that you have an awesome collection of heels and wedges.
I love some of the patent heels / wedges you have listed there, real classy!
Thanks

First two are definitely not stripper and quite classy, third pair (yes/no depending on the attire), last two definitely stripper.

Difficult to say really, I think it's another subjective term a bit like 'high heels'.
I would say that they're plastic, have a large platform and aren't something you would wear out on the streets in normal situations. I have plenty of platforms that are not stripper heels IMHO and plenty that certainly are. I have a few that are questionable, but like I say it depends on who you ask.
I think you are spot on with your answer Roz, I would also say that they'd be something you'd not normally wear out on the streets.
Also, as you say depending on who you ask, you will always get different answers.

Hello all!
I'm from Brittany, France; and I just love high heels.
I love to wear them mostly with jeans.
I absolutely love stilettos.
For the moment, I don't dare going above 10 cm (4" ?!?).
I'd love to try and get to walk on 5" and later 6".
Perhaps like many of us, I'd like to dare and going outside the house wearing them.
Nearly forgot you Misterd73, welcome to hhplace.

I just wanna say hello.
Happy to be on this forum

One idea hasn't surfaced yet in this thread - she wasn't -embarrassed-, maybe she thought you were hot and got all tongue-tied and teenaged. It happens. Trust me on this, if it hasn't happened to you.
good point.

Rather disappointing this year, I must clearly say. Nearly all heels were covered by very long dresses that were apparently much more en vogue this year than in the past. Also, I found that many outfits looked rather boring and some even completely awkward.
One exception though was Heidi Klum, a picture of whom is attached, with very decent platform sandals.
Does anyone else have nice heel pics from this year's event?
I like those platform sandals.
