  1. I always hold doors open for the ladies, it is the way I've been brought up. Also, I always offer help if I see a woman struggling with her shopping and many a time I have given up my seat on public transport to a female. Its all part of being a gentleman, a breed which hasn't quite died its death yet!

  2. Wow, got my ultra's in this morning, and instead of the 6 1/4" heel as advertised, they measure a full 7 1/4"!! Of course, I HAD to practice in my room, even though I didn't even place any padding in yet...LOL

They fit fairly well. But, even though I walk a lot, and very gracefully, in 6" heels, I wasn't expecting how tough these would be! After about 45 minutes of stretching, warming up, and such, I managed to be able to walk back and forth across my 20' room 2 times (only the first would be considered graceful-ish) before my feet were just too tired! 15 more minutes of attempts, and I had to stop.

Just for yucks I put back on my 6"ers and almost fell backwards as it felt like there was no heel there!!

Now, I have 26 days to practice before I wear them to my club's New Year's Eve party, and though I am at least encouraged that I can walk short distances in them, I know there won't be much dancing in these! LOL

First stop today before work?? Aldo's for some shoe padding...LOL

Wow, I have some serious respect for those who can walk a lot in ultra's over 7"!

Figured I'd become a Gold Member with a post about ultra high gold heels! :lmao:

    Off to practice some more...

Nice buy Stilettoscot, pity they aint black patent, but of course I would say that :w00t2:

  3. Hi Roz,

Day 34 is a collection of Victoria's Secret models at the opening of the Victoria's Secret Lexington Avenue Flagship Store in New York City on December 2nd.

Models are from L to R Selita Banks (wearing Christian Louboutin Patent Pump), Marisa Miller (wearing Christian Louboutin Very Prive in Gold), ??????? (wearing Louboutin Pumps), Heidi Klum (also wearing Christian Louboutin Very Prive), Alessandra Ambrosio and Doutzen Kroes.

That's one heck of a collection of legs!

How do you find this stuff out lol?

  4. Oh MY GOD!

i was at sephora the other day and i saw the new "autumn and eve" nailpolish collection from OPI at Sephora there. I couldnt help myself. I got soo many colors, and its worth it.

I'm not suprised you couldn't help yourself, that nail polish is awesome!!!

I'll be on the lookout for that stuff myself, thanks.

QOH/Gina what a lovely website. I'm loving some of the black patent heels there, they're real classy. I used to think spending lots of money on a pair of heels like those shown at the museum was stupid until I discovered hhplace, but I can understand now why people are willing to pay those prices.

I figure that when your buying 'classy heels', the materials and quality of workmanship are simply first class!

I only wish I had the money to buy them, i'll have to stick to the cheap heels until such day as I win the lottery.

  6. I bought two pairs today, these are my favourite of the two.

Was funny buying these, I wasn't the only guy out to buy heels.

There was another guy, much older than me who said he was buying them for his daughter as we scanned all the heels on the wall. My eyes working overtime to find that perfect style.

I asked the assistant for my size in the two selected pairs, when she brought them out I joked "am i alright to try them on", she looked a little surprised before I replied "your alright I'm only joking".

I tell you what though if I hadn't have been so close to work, i'd have been tempted to try them on. She did inform me that there had been guys who'd been in the store previously and had tried them on.

A photo of me in my new purchase:
