  1. Max, your point is well taken except for two small items: first, the pants are black as are the boots (not green). The other point is that I have a relative staying with us at home; meaning - I lost my closet! Almost all of my stuff is inaccessible in the attic until the departure! I do have a fairly extensive wardrobe for this kind of stuff but just inaccessible! So, in English, I'm just making do with what I can get my hands on!
  2. except the one in Jeffersonville Ohio.

The few times that I've been to this store, the clerk will get me the size of shoe I'm interested in, then make a phone call. Within a few minutes, two armed security guards walk in and stare at me while I'm trying on the shoes.

whitetop03, I can't put myself in your place, but I would certainly address the Nine West corporate office in writing about the sales person and the store. That is horrible and I certainly would not tolerate it!

  3. Continuing the story, I decided to go to San Francisco for dinner. On the train, then the trolley coach, the driver didn't tell me the right stop and instead of Chinatown, wound up in Haight-Ashbury! This wouldn't have been bad if I had been there a few days and seen the sites I wanted to see first, but it was what it was. I then hopped a cab but, trusting the driver, wound up on the outskirts of Chinatown, but it was okay for dinner. Unfortunately, it was cold that early evening and I didn't have a proper jacket on; otherwise I would have wandered around a bit. As I had an appointment in the morning, I couldn't hang out late.

I was wearing the black nylon pants from the morning, the red "Jockey" 'T' shirt and a black wet look zippered shirt that I wore over the 'T' and Newport News calf high suede lace-up 4" heel boots. And for HappyFeat and JeffB, in the first and second pix you'll see the black patent faux alligator bag! This was my first time out with a bag!

  4. Were you "en femme" entirely? Your top looks like it has a significant bustline. None of the pics show your face or hair, but did you try to "pass" as a woman? If so, I can see where nobody would notice or care about the shoes or the rest of the outfit. Nevertheless, it's a great outfit and you carry it well. Thanks for sharing.

Not at all! In fact, the top in fact is a "male" top from Jockey, I have a few different ones. So, I was neither trying to "Pass" nor en-femme. You could say straight male from the waist up and "female" from the waist down as I had on juniors pants and heels. Thanks for the compliment!
  5. I had a business appointment out in Oakland, CA and as I went alone, I decided to make it a heeling trip. I had a flight from JFK (NY) to Oakland, CA with a stop in Phoenix, AZ, both ways. Interestingly enough, I sat next to three women out of four flights with no comments from anyone!

Anyway, on the first trip I was wearing Nine West "Hot Tamale" three strap pumps, black nylon pants, red shirt with a black wet look zip top over it as a semi jacket. (First three pics). After I checked into the hotel and unpacked, I decided to change the pants for black shiny leggings (from Target) and went out to lunch. More to follow.......

  6. To me, it wouldn't be a like/dislike of guys in heels. I happen to like high heels in general, regardless of who is wearing them. Now, the real crux of the matter is the presentation! Factors that would bring a negative reaction from me would be worn, dirty heels, a person that cannot walk in them, hairy legs, etc. etc. For me, sex is not the issue.
  7. I am normally clean shaven with a bald head and that is how I go out in heels. I prefer "women's" jeans or pants as they fit better generally (slimmer) and drape nicely over the heels/boots. As far as tops go, they can be either "men's" or "women's" depending upon mood, availability, etc.

  8. I've been extremely busy for the past three weeks and haven't been here much. So I was browsing tonight, just catching up and saw your latest pic. As I went through them, I said to myself - yes, Door #2 --- but then I saw Door #3 and, WOW! Great look HappyFeat; you have truly outdone yourself with the black dress, scarf and slings!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Dressed as you were, there's no hiding those puppies, is there? ;)

Bubba, that was the plan - no hiding! I had boot cut pants with me and could have done that but wanted the skinny thing!

Bootking: Impressive! Most impressive, my friend! Those shoes definitely have style written all over them! Bravo!

Thanks Jeff for the vote of confidence!

Very nice Bootking! I have the Geranium loafers in the oil skin brown. The red patent were a bit tight for me mainly because of the material, though I do love the red. The brown are a bit more "under the radar," so to speak. You did quite well just putting them out there and they looked great with your outfit.

Thanks HappyFeat, it's funny as I had seen them in Conn. and tried them on, but went back and forth as to whether to buy them or not. Then when I saw them in NC it was a no-brainer. They were pretty comfortable too. Like you and Jeff, being "under the radar" is not what I want to do (when I feel secure).

  10. To finish the story of this excursion, when I stopped at the Smithfield Mall in North Carolina, I stopped at the Nine West Outlet there. I bought the red "Geranium" loafers with a 3 1/2" heel. I was wearing a Jockey red top, "Fire" black skinny jeans with a black patent belt at the time (as in the pic). The 3rd pic is not the real color, closer to the 2nd. It was soon getting time for dinner so I stopped at a Cracker Barrel restaurant to eat. The hostess immediately said, "I love your shoes!" I thanked her, she seated me and that was the end of that!
