  1. Bootking, another fantastic outfit! The boots are great (as you know, I tend to like the slightly over the top), but the jeans fit you remarkably well. I also love the body suit and envy you guys who are slimmer than I who can pull it off. The wide belt adds the prefect touch to your slim silhouette. A very well conceived and executed ensemble.

Also, I am going to have to fly on heels. All of you guys who do that, including TSA, etc. really impress me. I just don't fly that often, but I may just have to plan a trip.

That makes two of us, HappyFeat! Sounds like it could be fun! Hell, I might just do Bootking one better and wear a skirt! HA!

Thanks guys - but from another thread there was a "belly" comment - now, especially wearing a bodysuit, you don't want the belly!! So, to let you in on another secret - Flexees ultra firm torsolette! Works quite well!!

And Jeff and HappyFeat - go ahead and do the one-upmanship through TSA with a skirt! BRAVO!!!

  2. Okay, after all that, let's go to day two!

I was wearing a black velour Victoria Secret's bodysuit, black patent belt, faded black X2 boot cut jeans and Nine West red "snakeskin" synthetic "Blondey" knee high boots with a 4" heel and a black "alligator" bag.

Went to the gas station to fill the car before returning it - that's where the woman behind me said "I love your shoes!!" Of course I thanked her and continued filling the car. Then to return the car to the rental car agency, where I saw the same women in the office as the day before - and the same woman that took me to the airport took me back! No comments at all from them.

Then to the Air train and TSA. After TSA I put the boots over the pants and decided to have lunch (at San Francisco airport). Unfortunately, there were no normal tables left and I had to sit on a high stool. A man came and asked me if he could share the table; I thought that if he wants to sit with a man in red knee high stiletto boots, why not! After that I boarded the plane and flew home from San Francisco to JFK. At JFK, through the terminal, one the Air Train to the car and home. Not one comment from anyone other than the woman in the gas station!!!

  3. Actually, here is an example of a girl who pulls off snakeskin leggings, which look similar to your pants. In this case, she picked a blazer that color coordinated with her leggings, wore black boots, a white t, and chose to accessorize with a home made necklace. In my opinion, she pulls off the look with good style.

Both points are well taken. First though, the boots are NOT white; they are beige and are a close match to the beige in the pants as the pants are beige and brown. With a little afterthought, I still would have worn those boots (and I have another pair of boots just a little darker as it really was a toss up for choice) but I probably would have worn a dark brown top. But at 57, I'm not looking to dress like a teen - that wouldn't work at all!

  4. HHLover, you will find that most people do notice but just go about their business. But once in a while you will find a complete idiot that is annoying in one manner or another. It just fits the general picture of people; every so often you find that one idiot! Keep on heeling!!!!
  5. WOW!! Talk about bold! You have that all over me six ways to Sunday

You have got me beat by a country mile too. More power to you as you don't really streetheel all the way, you airheel.Dawn HH

You are another one here that inspires me. Keep heeling, my friend.

Here above are three quotes from friends that I take inspiration from; and here, you are telling me the same; WOW and THANKS!!

  6. For the compliments, thanks!! For the brickbats on the top, well, it's all a matter of personal taste. A "guy" would never be wearing anything like either the top, the pants or the boots - so I decided that that the time was ripe.

And all this was out there with the ol' bald head as there was no "en femme" here at all!!

We'll get to Day 2 most likely tomorrow.

  7. By popular demand, here are the gory details and full pictures!

DAY ONE - Left New England by car, drove to JFK in NY. I was wearing a gold lurex turtleneck sweater from Style & Co., Express "snakeskin" leather jeans, Nine West brown and black leather bag and Colin Stuart 4" heel leather calf boots. I missed the flight as they had a luggage line that I stood on for 1 1/2 hours!!! So I was at JFK for an additional 2 hours waiting for the next flight. Went through TSA and finally to the gate area where I grabbed some food and sat near the gate but at an unoccupied one for privacy. I boarded the flight and flew to San Francisco. NOT ONE COMMENT, not even the woman next to me! Many, many, many people saw me in NY, SF and in the air and not a word although I was seen and heard!

At San Francisco, I took the shuttle train and then a shuttle van to get the rental car, rented the car and drove to the motel in San Mateo. Then went out to Burlingame and walked around and got some dinner and back to the motel. By now, it was a very long day as I got up at 2:30 AM EST and now it was about 9 PM EST and that was it for the day!

See below as I was wearing that all day/eve.

  8. All I can say is---WOW!! I really admire your boldness, just putting on the outfits you wore and traveling far and wide! Amazing! Absolutely amazing! And those boots were incredible! Two thumbs up, my friend!

Outstanding boots and jeans! I LOVE the snakeskin jeans with the tan boots in particular. Its such a wild look. Great job!

Jeff, aren't you the guy that I call bold with the skirts, etc.! Thanks!!

HappyFeat, same goes for you too!

The red Nine West boots are the Blondey model (forgot to mention). I'll have full pics up in a few days.

  9. Had to make a quick business trip out to San Francisco, so I decided to make it a heeling trip! On the way out, I was wearing a gold lurex Style & Co. turtleneck sweater, Express "snakeskin" leather jeans and Colin Stuart 4" calf high leather stiletto boots. Once out there, wherever I went, that was the outfit for Wednesday.

Thursday, wore a Victoria's Secret black velour long sleeve bodysuit, black X2 boot cut jeans and Nine West 4" stiletto red "snakeskin" synthetic knee high boots. At first, I wore the boots under the jeans but after TSA wore them over the pants all the way home.

When I was returning the rental car, I was across the street at the gas station, filling the tank. A woman at the gas station said to me, "I love your shoes!!!!" So, I thanked her! That made my day!! And she didn't even know that they were knee high boots as they were under the pants at that point. I didn't have my camera with me, so these are the iPhone pixs attached. I'll have better ones later.

  10. In the end, I've found that the best way to defeat perception and expectation is to both look my very best and act with class when in public

and that we don't have to be lemmings and look like everyone else. That should be the goal, or at least, the mindset of everyone here.

Society is not very understanding of any group or individual that cannot be understood. If one strays from the accepted path and seeks to blaze their own trail, they are labeled non-conformist. Society may even "fear" them, based upon what the different behavior may be.

Jeff and Gary, very, very well said! In a nutshell, we are trailblazers and as we are being "different" we need to be mindful of that.
