  1. I have a few pairs of Zanotti shoes and boots. They are all amazingly well made and comfortable considering they are all 5 inches high (in size 40 EU). Go for it. Well worth looking on eBay too. I have bought all of mine new for about £40 a pair from eBay.

  2. Never mind the article in the Sun itself. The subject's very simple, really. We all know a direct link exists between high heels and sexuality. As a father I can only state:

Little girls have no place what so ever in this.

    Period.

That's a little simplistic as all women were once little girls. It's only natural for little people to want to mimic big people.

  3. There's so many variables in this question. You are 17 and nobody knows you wear heels. That's an issue to think about. I always think you need to try to find yourself before you can show your true character to others, especially a girlfriend. Don't worry about thinking she's the only girl in the world. I was a shy 17 year old and now I couldn't really care less about how blinkered 'closed door' people view me. There are many women in the world. Where do you live? What sort of person are you in terms of your general attitude to clothing? If you wear fairly 'out there' clothes then adding some interesting footwear will be a natural step. If you dress really conservatively then wearing heels will look a little forced and awkward. It's all about the outfit and your personality as a whole. Personally speaking from experience. I would go somewhere progressive and accepting in the daytime and wear some heels to gauge public reaction and how YOU feel wearing them. It's not an easy thing to simply put on some heels and walk out the door. You need to think about all the issues that could arise. At the same time you need to remember that it's only some shoes and you are not really hurting anyone or doing something illegal. Hold you head up and accept who you are. What is this girl like in terms of her dress sense and what kind of men is she interested in? Has she shown any signs that you have a chance of dating her? You are 17 and still finding out about the world ad how you fit into it. Practice, practice, practice... Maybe you need to go on a couple of dates and be honest with her in a fun and intelligent way. Show her who you can be and then see how you can fit in the subject of you wearing heels. Don't shock her! Maybe buy some masculine styled shoes but with a bit of a heel. Don't mention it and see if she brings it up. If she starts questioning you then simply tell her you like the shoes. Don't give people the chance to reduce you to a freak. Act cool and as natural as possible. your heart may be racing but try to be calm and answer questions in an honest and refreshing way. Remember that you are still young and that if this goes horribly wring it's all a learning curve. The sooner you start being honest with yourself and the world, the sooner you will be happier and wearing the clothes you desire. If you are comfortable wearing heels and can brush off remarks with humour then you are most of the way there. Plus. Who knows, she might love you in heels, even more than boring flat men's shoes. Many women like bold men who are not scared of a challenge and carving out a style. Good luck, Ben

  4. Every time I go in to look, I feel that I have a sign over my head "I'm a guy shopping for heels"

Just try the damn things on in the shoe shop. You are a paying customer and they will treat you as such. Nothing earns you respect like a handful of cash! The problem is in your head!

If you are worried about being spotted, then go to a shop in another town.

Once you get over the issue, a whole new world will open it's doors.

  5. It's basically the same as BS in the USA

"Bollocks" /ˈbɒləks/ is a word of Anglo-Saxon origin, meaning "testicles". The word is often used figuratively in British English, as a noun to mean "nonsense", an expletive following a minor accident or misfortune, or an adjective to mean "poor quality" or "useless". Similarly, the common phrases "Bollocks to this!" or "That's a load of old bollocks" generally indicate contempt for a certain task, subject or opinion. Conversely, the word also figures in idiomatic phrases such as "the dog's bollocks", "top bollock(s)", or more simply "the bollocks" (as opposed to just "bollocks"), which will refer to something which is admired, approved of or well-respected.

  6. I know Brick Lane well. I was clubbing there over 15 years ago!!! Before it was 'trendy'. I was born in East London and have tons of friends there. I also design t shirts for a shop off Brick Lane. My Nan's ex husband owns quite a bit of property around Brick Lane and recently someone painted a large graffiti mural of him on one of the walls. My real Grandad (Nan's 1st husband) was always taking me there as a little kid for beigels and Jewish food. Thanks for the photo praise. I am a graphic designer and do some product photography, so hopefully I know a trick or two. Plus the venue was pretty quiet so I had lots of room to manoeuvre! Cheers, Ben

  7. Final 4... Natacha Marro. I think these were for Daphne Guinness. Nike Air high heels. Terry De Havilland crazy pink boots. Loved his iconic Heart Wedges in the background too. Copper Sulphate crystal encrusted shoes. These showed great promise but in person they looked a bit like melted wax. A little bit creepy.

  8. More... Gareth Pugh for Beyonce video. AMAZING in person. Photos don't do them justice. Nina Ricci for Daphne Guinness. I would love to try them on and go for a little walk. They look impossible to walk in but if you look at them properly they are simply a wedge with a BIG piece removed. I think they would be perfectly manageable. Rupert Sanderson for the Royal Opera House.
