  1. More pictures, well, as I do sets for the Member section for Jenny's site, to help pay the bills, I will certainly include a few over here. I mean, I cannot just say "pay or else" because there are a lot of sites to see shoes on the net, and besides, I'd rather be nice and share something. :-? The ankle straps were used a great deal when I first had the shoes, but if I needed to dangle or slip out because my feet felt warm, I had to unbuckle, So after a while, for convenience, I stopped using them, but liked the loop on the back as a nice design element.

  2. First, thank you to everyone who has said that they like the new choice. I do as well. Jeff, to answer you question about the lace colors, I have thought about it, but I do prefer the black. I think I would change lace colors to match an outfit, but not to indicate my mood. My mood shifts too often during the day. These are not the easiest shoes to relace, after all. I could see deep red/burgandy or maybe something silver, those would create nice accents for an outfit.

  3. I was a bit fired up with no real reason, for that I apologize to you, PJ. I am not used to upper case for that form, but far be it from me to just say "my experience thus that is how it is" especially considering the wide range of backgrounds for the people who participate here. It's just me being grumpy about the internet. So again, I apologize for my reactionary approach.

  4. The only problem with the shoes is that the velvet was wearing off of the back (a reason not to drive in heels of such materials) and there were splits forming on the insteps from where the ball of my foot would flex during walking or crouching or standing on tip toes. Not that the heels get that far off of the ground when doing that. Especially not last year when I wasn't dabling in the extreme heights for fun. If you look close you can see the small tear on the inside of the right shoe. Such a shame. But still, they fit perfectly, served be well, and let's face it, went well with stockings and skirts of varying lengths. Now they sit in my closet, looking worn out, but too precious to throw away.

  5. Maybe people need to change how they view messages or pay a bit more attention? I know it is quite an offensive stance to take, but really, a lot of girls might not be comfortable and thus don't participate. The Gals section is quite inactive these days. we have quotes for a reason, we have underlining, bold, italics... caps are often about shouting, reading the sentences as such, in my mind, those words are then voices louder, which makes it seem aggressive. Quotes make a word softer, isolated, and thus take away from that. Ah well.

  6. Yes, a rare event in the scope of the world, a Goddess field report. Long gone are the days of the Goddess diaries, but here now some commentary about work. I am amazed of late how many people notice my heels. Mostly women, but even men notice. Those who know me make comments. I've even seen a guy or two glance down rel quick as they pass by, just to see what I am wearing. It's that sort of glimpse that I would not notice unless I was checking for it. Hrm... high heels are a powerful weapon. Mosdtly, the women make the comments. They like what I wear. My beige sandals with the five inch stiletto heel? They've been called my hot mama shoes. Especially because I do my toenails red when wearing them. It offers a nice contrast to the tan-beige colour of the strappy sandals from the Highest Heel. My four inch heeled above the ankle boots? Well, the pointy toe gets notice. Most women are amazed I can wear them. Don't your feet hurt, how do you walk in those, and so forth. My answers so far have been honest and practical. Lots of practice, training... anyone can wear them if you work on it. Some people are fascinated, and I tell them my story. Of how I was used to mid heels, and slowly worked my way higher. No, they do not hurt, I have trained myself. I reveal tips and sectrets. About proper sizing, varying up the shoes, and many things like that. Although once when asked how I walk in those by a girl at work, I said "I move one foot, then the other, then the first, then the other one again..." Sometimes I jump, balance, and do simple tricks. People are amazed. The few guys who do ask wonder if the shoes hurt. With pride and honesty, I tell them no. The shoes in my avatar have been called party shoes, that they are excellent for the club but wasted on work. But I have to be who I am. And quickly I am earning a reputation for these high, extreme heels. Sometimes they ask where I got them. More often the women go on and on about how they would fall over and break a neck or leg or ankle or what have you. To which, I will always say "all you need is practice. If you ever want to learn, I'll be more than happy to teach you how to do it. So far, no bites. But one can hope! But the biggest compliment is when someone says "I thought about you the other day, I was going out and wearing heels and thought about how you do it all the time." And I was very much trying not to be an every day high heeled goddess. But I guess everyone is noticing. I will admit, I do receive a nice ego boost from it. Attention is good and soothes a goddess. It is a very nice reward. Not as nice as money or fabulous prizes or shoes, but it works a magic all its own. Celebrity and reputation still follow on my heels, it seems. Clicking along with me every step of the day. :-?

  7. The thing that gets me, is, this is the 'For the Gals' section, so obviously this poll is for the girls, and yet you're lamenting not being able to participate. As much as people can be open to diversity and gender blurring and allowing people to be themselves, let's face it, some things are just for girls. There's a certain mystical aspect to that which should remain intact. :-?

  8. Driving in heels makes me sad, my shoes can be damaged. Wear spots, scratches... I will wear heels for short drives, but it makes me nervous for longer drives since my car lacks cruise control and I am at the pedals a lot, thus creating wear and tear on the backs of the shoes, a very noticable spot! Even my thicker lower heeled shoes, a pair I never talk about that is about three inches in height, have these spots on the back. Imagine how my metal pencil spiked Brazil pumps look from driving! And not being real leather, they are difficult to clean up. Driving is enough of a thrill. Heels have their own effect when people can see them as I walk. That's the most powerful time, in my opinion.

  9. Some of the styles would look old west, for the poncho items, or just artsy. Claiming to be artistic in some circles lets you get away with things. "I'm an artist" can change a "what the heck?" to an understanding "ohh, okay" with a smile. Which is sad that we have to stoop to being a stereotype to gain acceptance for fashion expression. But sometimes you need a line to keep people from doing something stupid. I often wonder if acceptance has to be fought for with sneaky tactics instead of blatant assaults on the backwards social perceptions. Also it will depend on where you are when you put on these outfits. I think at least a third could be done gender neutral, anything with trousers, anyway. Skirts and dresses will be seen as pushing and crossing that gender line.

  10. Unless you have had a conversation with the first lady about being exclusive, then there's no obligation, no moral issue, no conflict, and thus, you're not bad. When you're single, and looking, the idea is to explore a bit before finding someone you have an intimate connection with. So go on an adventure and meet people, go out, enjopy the moment, and if it works and the frequency increases in seeing one another, then you can move towards something more exclusive.

  11. I hope people check in on this...

As you can see, I have chosen a new avatar. It comes from a quick set of pictures I did for my section on the Jenny's page members area.

    Posted Image

I know that picture 3 was in first place, and close second was something else entirely for the voting. The fact that I went for something else and posted this picture of shoes I've never shared, well, it is based on people's actual response, something measured beyond the voting.

I am ont an extreme heels girl for every day. But my new avatar does reflect a pair of shoes I do wear at work on a regular basis.

So it is very fitting to use them here as my new avatar.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this. You all helped a lot.

    :-?

  12. Thatnks, Bubba, we all appreciate that. However... celebrity seems to create something for people. A spark of desire that comes from the person being famous as well as attractive. Why? Because the world, give or take, knows these people. Is it more exciting to say "wow, there's some hot pics of J-Lo and Jolie" and have people go "oh yeah, wow" or "Wow, Laurie and Gina are stunning, and those heels" and then have someone go "who?" Recognition is important. People aren't going to mob me on the street fopr autographs, so my pictures are never going to be as interesting. Besides, fame is a pain in the rump. Give me the money and let me invest and live well, instead of ending up living a wild life and then be on the Enquirer or The Star about drug addiction and being broke. It is okay to be featured in Weekly World News, however. A story about how I am a double jointed alien or something can sit next to a Bat Child article any day. :-?:D

  13. I've heard tell that there's a booth at summer carnivals in Canada that is trying to do the deep fried mars bar thing. I just head for the corn dog stand, myself. Oil Fat is fine, sugar fat is fine, but together... they just double the threat. I don't like to exercise quite enough to fight that off. But pretty much anything can be deep fried, it seems to be a trend, sort of a rebellion in a sense towards the healthy eating trend. They do have deep fried Ice Cream, the oil temp is very high so it cooks the outside quick, but it goes in for a very short time so the inside stays cold. I have not tried it but I think both of my sisters have and said it is quite good. Of course, a quick fry does not add quite so much fat.

  14. Power posting is an art, in the purest form. Not everyone is perfect at it, but I do encourage everyone to try it. So long as you can post a bunch of messages with some actual content, you too can be a power poster, and change your icon faster than you change the page on the calendar. :-?

  15. I think I might feel that it will never be the same, and nothing I can do will ever make me feel equal. I do feel like some sort of minority. Striving to earn respect, hoping what I do is accepted well, but always, someone has to spin it negative. I don't think anything can change it. I know, drivel, and the poll means it might not be read. Whatever.
