  1. I don't think that the idea is dead at all. It's just that it is a very specialised market, and the small number of sales means that only a couple of companies that specialise in the ponygirl/boy fetish scene find it profitable enough to tool up to have them made.

S-Art.de in Germany make excellent hoof boots although they are a little more expensive than the waterhole site in the USA. Of course, Punitive shoes do a modified pony boot, which is more like Devious Femme Boot with the curved heel. These are S-Art's hoof boots

Mainstream has caught up on the theme as well now. These appeared on the New York catwalk recently. It probably won@t be long before they appear as a boot. Made by Antonio Berardi

  2. Lovely boots, looks a little like the "ballet" boot Solanj did.

That was my exact first thought as well.

Pata does a fantastic job in handling the height as well. The photos sadly do both her and the boots an injustice. The video that she has put up on her site does a far better job of demonstrating how good a job has been done of converting these using the bady of a standard Devious ballet boot, as well as showing Pata's ability to wear them in public as if they were everyday footwear. (Although she did nearly cause one cycist to run into her cameraman).

  3. There is a slideshow of some of the images and the shoes that he's made on wallpaper.com including a couple of nice shots of extreme ballet shoes he made.

The exhibition is in London this weekend 12th to 14th at Design Art London in Hannover Square.

  4. Sometime in the next week would be a good time.

I've just paid £70 for a pair of knee length devious ballets which are £149 in Alternative Footwear.

Sub-Shop.com are having a 30% off sale, which combined with the strength of the dollar against the pound makes them very cheap. It is supposed to end this week. You simply put in discount code ThankYou when ordering for 30% off your order.

Ballet shoes go for about £35, ankle boots £50, Knee length £70 and PVC thigh boots with lacing and zip for under £90.

PS. I have no connection with the company other than being a very satisfied past customer.

  5. You may like to have a look at S-art.com as well. They are a german firm who also sell human pony equipment. Their boots come out at $559 as current conversion rates. Here's what they look like, taken at a recent event.

  6. Richie. In fairness to both Trolldeg and Pata, I too think that Nigel's original comment was a bit off, particularly for a moderator/administrator, who is supposedly encouraging people to use the site. We all know about the derth of female posters on this board. Pata is one of a very snall number of females who takes an active part in posting. Is it right, therefore, that someone should be saying to her, and all others "please dont bother posting anything if you might want it removed in the future." What if Gina decided that she may want to remove her material from here one day, so didn't bother posting any more after reading that comment? I would suggest that it would be a very sad loss to this board. Anyone who posts on this board MAY wish to change their mind about their original posting at a later date. Is Nigel suggesting, therefore, that anybody who posts anything is commited to that post remaining "ad infinitum". If so, you should remove the edit facility quickly to prevent us from doing so.

  7. Pata. If he could make those work for you, I've no doubt at all that you could wear them. From what I've seen of them, the problem is, as you rightly say, as soon as you put your weight fully down, the toe strap stretches and your foot slides down. The very thin toe straps may look wonderful for posing, but for walking, I think that they are going to have to be made with a wider toe strap, or even a toe box, to stop your toes from extending out of the front of the shoe. Either way, I'm confident that they would look fantastic on you. Richy PS. Loved the evening gown with ballets vid this week. Great setting as well.

  8. They look like a very similar design to those made by a German guy for the legsworld.de site. If you have a look in the previews, there are a few examples of his attempts to make steel shoes with very narrow heels.

August 16th 2005, October 4th 2005 and 7th November 2006 previews specificially. (Legsworld is an adult website, contains nudity and is therefore not for minors to view, however).

    This was his second attempt.

  9. Pata. Yet another delightful video. While others quake at the thought of trying ballet boots, you make wearing a pair of ballet shoes over extremely dodgy ground look effortless. Are you likely to do any more videos in and around town, or have you been put off by the negative comments that you sometimes got from the public. Richy

  10. Pata. The veil and ballet boots lends itself to a lovely image of you in white corset wedding dress, veil, gloves and ballet boots. Instead of rope on the elbows and wrists, you wear a white leather armbinder. You're then filmed walking down the aisle. Now that would be a mind boggling video!

  11. I recognise a few of those boots from my youth, especially the pair of silver thigh length boots with the second heel underneath the sole of the boot (PB123). Now they would have been unwalkable. If my memory serves me correctly, they are from a Solanj catalogue, a bootmaker from the Western USA who retired about 10 years ago.

Someone has actually modified a pair of standard ballet boots to a similar design to the boots that you mention, there are a couple of photos here.

Incidently, on the subject of old catalogues. For anyone who believes that ballet boots are a relatively new invention, this was from a 1958 Regent's Shoes catalogue that I have in my possession.

They were priced at £14-14 shillings, which at today's prices is £206.50

  12. I would like to back Pata up on her comments about her motives for creating her videos and website. I am a member of her website and have been for some time now. That is because, unlike other websites who have models that claim to be able to wear ultra and ballet heels, but in reality struggle to even stand in them, Pata clearly can wear both and does so with grace and style in situations that other "high heel" models could only dream about. Not only that, she does so because of the enjoyment that she gets out of doing it, not because of any financial reasons. In fact, having suggested that it may be in her interests to create a compilation CD and attend a fetish convention in Munich in May to advertise her site, her reply was that she was not really interested in advertising or making her site overly commercial, because it then becomes an obligation rather than a hobby.

  13. To those asking me to post the links, please read my original message again. I will not be posting the links here, as I want to know who has them. Plus, as I upload any more, I can tell you that they are there. If you want them PM me. *****LINKS TO UNSUITABLE IMAGES REMOVED****** ***** CHILDREN CAN VIEW THIS SITE *******

  14. I was asked by someone who liked my Flickr set of ballet boots if I had any videos that I was prepared to share. To my own astonishment, I have found over 1GB of videos on my hard drive so far, many of them featuring standing/walking in ballet boots rather than simply posing. I've uploaded 2 sets of just under 200MB so far and will probably do another one tonight. If anybody else would like the links to download them, drop me a PM and I'll send them to you. Be warned, however, it will take you a couple of hours to download each folder, so it's best done overnight. Richy

  15. I thought I would revive this thread, since I've had a good day in London today. This is the first time I've been up their for about five years but won't be the last.

The first pair of boots I saw coming up the stairs of the Underground at Oxford Circus was a pair of tan over knee boots. In all, I saw I think 7 pairs of over knee boots, four of which were genuine thigh length but two were flat heels so they don;t count. 2 pairs of five inch heels and I don't know how many pairs of four inch, including what I believe was a fetish photoshoot in Trafalgar Square (she was wearing 4" rubber boots, a vinyl latex rainmack and woolen mini dress. What made me wonder was that the guy she was with was about 15 years younger and wearing jeans and a hoodie. They just didn't look right together and she was definitely posing for him.

Here's a couple for a taster. The rest can be found in Firefox's Street Heels group. http://www.flickr.com/groups/23139075@N00/

  16. Returning to the original question, regarding locations where you can find or share photos of ballet boots.

I started a set on Flickr to upload a large number of my own collection. I would warn anyone that the majority have an association with the bondage scene, simply because that is the scene with which ballet boots are associated.

For those who prefer ordinary high heels to ballet boots, I've also started a similar set, containing photos featuring ultra high arch heels of 5" and above (and I don't do platforms so these are all genuine 5" to 7" heels). I'm trying to feature standing poses where possible.

Anybody who wishes to have a look at them, you are quite welcome. I'm also adding a lot over the holiday period.

  17. Can't really compare I'm sorry, because I have never tried the Femmes. All I can say is that the rancho's were far more difficult to walk in than standard ballet boots, which I used to be able to manage quite well. If I ever see a pair of Femmes, I wouldn't mind trying them just for a comparison, but I wouldn't go out and buy a pair.
