  1. Some may already have noticed that the popular chanel of CirqueDeImelda, the Australian lady with the amazing ability to wear ballet boots and extreme heels, has been removed from youtube. She became aware yesterday that because of a number for inappropriate flags on her videos, she had received two terms of service violations from youtube. A third ToS violation gets you a 12 month posting ban from youtube. Puzzled by how video of a woman wearing normal clothing in public, albeit with unusual footwear, can be deemed inappropriate, she has found that the flags were raised by someone who (according to Imelda in her blog) is a well known member of this site. That member has claimed to youtube that Imeda has been copying ideas and offering them as free videos, thus reducing the revenue stream to the paysite run by the complainant. Imelda's blog is still in operation, as it cannot be affected by any attacks or complaints by this person. Her blog can be found at The blog contains many of the videos that have previously appeared on youtube, but independently hosted and, therefore, safe from deletion. She also has a second blog which is building into an instructional site on the methods of balance, posture and fitness requirements for wearing ballet boots, which includes video demonstrations. Incidently, Imelda has now got permission to use a running track and the professional assistance required to set a world record benchmark for a distance walk in ballet boots and en-pointe on toe shoes.

  2. The person that most amazes me is Imedla (CirqueDeImaelda on youtube). She shows the same level of prowess wearing ballets as most women do in a comfortable shoe, but can also walk en pointe in block toe shoes and ballet boots which have been modified so that the heel is rendered almost irrelevent. Most of her shoes and ballet boots have a modifed heel so that when she is walking and puts her foot down, the heel is touching the sole of the shoe. It appears that she is walking on her toes without any assistance to her balance from a heel.

  3. The trick in wearing ballet boots is not to allow your toes too much contact with the toe of the boot. The key to this is purchasing boots which are the correct width and lace up, not zip up. Unlike extreme heels, which have to be bought larger to accommodate the bend in the toe, ballet boots can be bought in your natural size or even a size smaller. If you purchase too large a size, the toe of the boot will collapse. When wearing them, they should be worn so that the heel of the foot is firmly in the heel of the boot. They should be laced tightly, so that the sides of the boot clamp firmly to the side of the foot. The reason for this is that when upright, the foot is prevented from sliding down into the pointe of the boot and putting pressure on the toes, which is the reason for the pain. If they are the correct size and width, you should find that almost all of the weight will be placed on the heel and instep, leaving the toes free of pressure and makes padding almost unnecessary.

  4. My only question for you richy, is that you or a friend that is in the pictures, cause you/they are hot!!!

    Beautiful Shoes-to-boot :chuckle:

Um.. I think there is a big hint in my profile under gender :-)

I'm a fetish and bondage photographer. I only work with female models, although I like to think that a number of the girls I work with also consider me a friend.

  5. They're likely to be fakes.....The site name has an added g on the end of Louboutin so it looks similar. What you are likely to be purchasing is a substand look-alike of the real thing.

If you read the terms and conditions of the site:

"The compilation of all the information on our website is the exclusive property of http://www.christianloubouting.com Inc., under the protection of Chinese and International Copyright Law"

Now why would a French company be seeking protection under Chinese law???

And taken from the genuine home page of www.christianlouboutin.com

"The official website of Christian Louboutin only exists under the following adddresses www.christianlouboutin.com and www.christianlouboutin.fr. At present we do not operate any e-commerce on this site. All other websites with the name Christian Louboutin are illegal and may sell counterfeit products. We invite you to check the list of our worldwide stockists in the "our boutiques" section of this site to verify the list of our official retailers."

  7. I purchased these recently and decided to do a few shots with them during a recent photoshoot. Not my normal style, but there again, these were done purely with the family friendly nature of this board in mind. They were purchased off ebay.de from Devilsworld007, and you can find a link to their shop in the internet retailers thread.

  8. A few years ago in Germany there were girls wearing metal shoes with high heels. They seemed to have a small area for the balls of your feet & toes then a gap until there was a small area for the heel. The body of the shoe was a narrow vertical sheet of metal with holes cut out of it. They had a curved sole and a narrow heel. They looked lke great fun.

Does anyone know if they are still available, or where I can get a pair please?

If you mean these, I don't believe that they are made anymore. There was an issue with the fixing of the platform to the sole. I heard one more than one occasion where the plate had crumpled or the weld had gone.

  9. You've missed the boat on both fronts. LSB can only be bought on the second hand market like ebay these days, if you're lucky. HotPeppers brand were made by QualityFetish in Montreal, Canada. They also went out of business a couple of years ago. I believe the last people to stock the hotppers brand were Divine (the Kinky Boot Factory) in Northampton UK, who were selling off a small number of ballet boots a few months ago, but they were shown as the last of the stock.

  10. I've just managed to nab a pair of the sandals in post 70. They are not GM Lorenzi although they have the same very thin 12 cm heel that lorenzi specialises in. The firm selling them is an ebay shop Primafila-Italia on ebay.de. They normally retail at €325 on ebay, but every so often they have open auctions. The pair I bought, in a size 37 were €105 plus postage. They also sell Lorenzi 14-16cm extremely thin stiletto platform shoes and boots at varying prices.

  11. That's kinda cool. The arch of the ballet boot is totaly different than the point shoe.

I wonder if I could bend my bboots sole to be more of this shape? Perhaps the bend would put less pressure on the tops of my toes? I think the Girl from Australia had a pair of her ballets done that way. Hmmm. Something to think about.

    Thanks for the picture.

Do you mean Imelda by any chance? her ballets appear to have been modified by reducing the stiffness of the sole just in front of the heel, so that the heel tucks under the foot when she walks, to the extent that the tip of the heel touches the sole of the boot. To all intents and purposes it looks like she is wlaking in a heel-less boot.

  12. Gorgeous as those steel shoes on Flickr are, and extremely well made, it seems they were made for her privately by a good friend. Sadly they are not on general sale. If they were, I have no doubt that I would buy a pair myself as they would look great on any of the girls I work with
