Yes it's looking like patent PU but I don't think so because of the interior lining that looks well made. Actually they are made by Pleaser and _they_ say it is patent leather, I never had shoes by Pleaser, anyone knows about it? The sole for sure it's man made material. I don't think that political discussions or points of views are good in this forum, since not everybody is from USA. We know that you are in the campaign for the next president but the international TV covers it for everybody (sometimes it makes me feel sleepy too). Why not keep the discussion here about heels and related? If I'm wrong, please, let me know... Talking about wikipedia, I'm a big fan of the opensource world as a Linux and FreeBSD user and consultant here in Brazil. Most parts of opensource projects documentation are in the Wiki format where everybody can complete ideas or express some point. Obviously that the information can be untrue or not precise, but wikis can be the most complete source of information, and high heels are a GOOD example for me, specially that someone is saying about men in heels, wich is TRUE. Books can express the point of view of it's author; Companies can express their point of view in the largests encyclopedias; PEOPLE can express their point of view in the wiki pages... think about it! The most important thing is the OPINION of who is reading, be a book, a magazine, wikipedias, TV, radio, newspapers, etc... all of them can be true, false, leftist, centristic, manipulative... I agree that keeping things easier is good so everybody can understand. That angle stuff in my opinion is the most inteligent thing because it takes all variables involved in wearing heels and depends of the shoe type, sole thickness, foot shape and size. Otherwise you will never think about angles when choosing your shoe for fetish reasons. Let's keep things simple. In my case I have a large feet (BR 44/45 - US 13) and my 5.5inch heels (14cm) looks like a 4 inch heeled shoes in US sizes 8 or 9. So I think that 2 variables should be considered: - how do you feel when wearing/walking; - how the shoes look when seeing from the sides; - how who is looking to you think about fetish or fashion. Let's forget about angles, sizes x heel height, etc... live it for the manufacturers and wear what you want to and feels good. Heels for all! Flavio.

I experienced a lot of pairs of pointed toes shoes and never had problems with them. Actually, it's my feelings, pointed toes at the right size makes less harm to my feet as flat shoes with square or round toeboxes. My pair of knee high 5 inch boots are pointed toes and custom made and I feel that boots like a glove. The toeboxes are very pointed and don't hurt my toes. My regular (male) shoes sometimes give me caluses over the toes or hurt the point. My heeled boots are outstanding. I think my feet are made for pointed toeboxes. Conclusion: the toebox style has nothing to do with confort or health problems. The question is "how well made are the shoes". Heels for all! Flavio.

So I think that this can be the start of nice discussion... I had a PU shoe from The Highest Heel but I used to wear them barefeet and just for short periods, so I never had problems with sweat or nilons. One thing I noticed at that time (I don't have these shoes today) is that the shoes never got ruined even after a long time beeing worn and worn again. They had the same looking as they had when new. So, I think that PU shoes has some advantages: - they don't deform so they can stay looking as new; - they are shiny; - they are cheaper then leather made shoes. And the disadvantages: - they don't deform so they can hurt your feet; - the leather look is nice because of the texture; - they tend to be made just for fun (aka wear at bed or for short periods). Due to money restrictions I have a phew pairs. Once I had 5 pairs of heeled shoes (what other people call feminine) and 3 pairs of boring shoes (aka male shoes) for day to day activities. When I got married I threw them away thinking they wouldn't be accepted from my wife. After tolding her and receiving the good encourajement, my new collection has started. One thing is that I take more care with my shoes today then before. I have my beloved 5 inch knee high pointed toes black boots and my pair of 3.5 inch sandals. Oh yes, I forgot my 3 pairs of flat shoes also. I take good car of them, of course. But remember... my collection is just getting started again. 2 pairs of heels in 6 months are ok for my budget. I never toke pictures of myself wearing heels, otherwise, I love to see the reflection of my feet on the mirror. If the mirror is large enough it's good to see the hole body, of course, as everything changes when in heels. Heels for all! (I hate to be cold!) Flavio.

Firefox, Sao Paulo is not just a big city in Brazil but the largest in the Latim America, the second largest city in area in the world and the 10th in population with more then 10 million people. The point is that I'm afraid of the reaction of the people, specially the people I know because of the machism that is STRONG in Brazil. I'm trying to obtain courage to go to a public place at night with my wife for a bar for example because I will find just people who are more open to receive new fashions and not find mothers with children or too old people. I know I will not have problems this way specially if in good company. During the day, no, thanks, I'm afraid to be violented, Sao Paulo has a large percentage of machists and homossexuals have problems all the time (even that they don't wear heels). Last week a gay guy was murdered inside the largest University we have here. and in the same University two weeks ago a couple of lesbians were violented by policemen just because they was kissing publically. (in the first case a huge manifestation of people in the university took place and the policemen who did the violent act are beeing investigated) That's why I'm going slowly and carefully. I usually notice the body first because is what I see first when far away. But I hate a wonderful body in bad or flat shoes, or sandals in ugly feet, those caused me to turn my back. Otherwise a not so good shaped body in correctly chosen clothes and beautiful and high heeled shoes attract my attention. Heels for all! Flavio.

Hi micha, if you're jealous about our starting summer here I'm jealous about your winter station because I love and prefer to wear knee high boots! We don't have snow in this part of the country (I never saw live snow myself) but I love the cold days with temperatures starting at 5 degrees celsius. I lived in the south of Brazil wich is a bit colder, starting at -1 or -2 celsius, great for leather boots. Heels for all! Flavio.
