It's aways easier for the ones not well skilled with computers to buy a brand new configured computer with seller or manufacturer support to help you install external hardware like USB cameras. A good computer with Windows XP will work with your camera just pluging and copy your pictures to the HD. If you have money to this, it's the right choice.

I'm sure your Web TV box will never work with card readers or USB cameras. If there is a USB port on it then you'll have some functionallity not concerned to all kinds of external hardware. Maybe it's just to plug the box to a computer, today's USB ports are designed to be a host or a client not both. The boxe's port should be a client, if it's present. Cameras are clients too, so there's no connection between two clients.

  2. It is good to know that we have Windows and Linux users here in this very forum.

For sure it's a matter of personal preference, the forum is not for OS discussion, of course a beginner will have a lot of problems trying to find the best linux distro for his needed task. I use both linux and windows, several distros where tested in more then 5 years and at home I abandoned Windows there is more then one year and I'm in Ubuntu there is 6 month.

But I will never recomend someone to run Windows XP in a computer less then a Pentium III and 128MB and a 20GB HD. NEVER.

And if someone wants to get started in Linux, find a good friend to help in the first steps. As everybody did in Windows before. And today the knowledge of command line intructions is not so necessary for a home user as everything is available graphically, including the installation.

What I said was just a sugestion .

Another sugestion is trying Windows 98 SE with USB support or Me. all of then are very problematic and unsupported, but if a 98 is working fine the user can confortably try it and have USB working in his box.

  3. If you have a low end computer my sugestion to have the ultimate software technology without spending a penny in new hardware and expensive Microsoft operational systems is go to Linux. Linux is the OS of my choice at home, the distribution I use is called Ubuntu considered the best and widely used in 2005. Foruns like this use PHPBB wich is a technology designed in free and open source software too. All modern Linux distributions have full support to USB devices and digital cameras, with very good image treatment software. Here goes my 2 cents.

  4. the brown ones don't look like women's shoes for me, since I have shoes as pointy as that bought in a very known men's shoes store here in Brazil. But the red ones are stunning, I love that! I'll try to find boots like the brown ones for me, they can be worn as men's shoes here in Brazil for sure.

  5. Magickman Thanks for you and your gf for the advice about pedicure and nail polishing, I go to the podologist (not pedicure, but the professional that takes care of the nails and feet sole at all) every month, this month is today! My podologist (woman) removes caluses, cuts the nails and do a lot of things to preserve the feet skin and reduce the bad looking problems in the sole. Actually I don't think that painted nails are nice, my wife wears sandals and don't do this too. But thanks a lot for your coments. luxxyheels Many thanks, some other people have talked things like that about my feet here too. DeSalto I'm jealous about your incredible red pump. Congratulations, it's a stunning pair. The second one is not my type but it's beautiful and you should go for it if you like.

  6. DeSalto, for sure I want to add more sandals at my collection... the same way I want to add a LOT of boots, pumps, etc... My personal preference is for boots that I love, but any kind of high heels should be added, my wife said that I need a pump now because I already own a pair of boots and another of sandals (in the pictures). She also said that the pumps should be red, since my boots and sandals are black. She is right, since I'm addicted for different styles of shoes I need to be openned to colors too. It's only a matter of having money to buy them!!!

  7. Hy everybody

Here goes some pictures of my black sandals in my own feet. Pictures where taken in a cell phone, quality is not so good but you can see them.

These sandals where bought in Au Bottier here in Brazil www.aubottier.com.br

They are 10cm high (about 4 inches) and extremely confortable in my size 44 (US women's 13) . I can walk quickly in them and even run. They were worn outside my old house twice. I just love them.

  8. Be careful you all! If the heel starts to be losen give you shoes for repairing ASAP. Otherwise you can wait for broken ankles or if you fall can damage your back. Damaged shoes should aways be well repaired or thrown away.

  9. This seller (Hotheels) is a famous crossdresser here in Sao Paulo, he (she) is Carmem Maura and here is the official web site http://www.geocities.com/carmem_m/capa.html

There you can see some more pictures of shoes and he (her) wearing them.

The shoes sold on Meracdo Livre are all new or used a couple of times, Carmem takes serious care of the shoes.

Kennard, Mercado livre is not just an Ebay like site, it's an Ebay affiliated.

  10. DeSalto Yes, they will refund and more, I just need to go to the post office and include a document they sent by e-mail, I don't need to pay anything, the costs are charged directly to the store. This is what I call a professional internet business. The refund is complete and includes the mail tax I paid when ordered, all in my bank account. Unfortunatelly they don't have sizes larger then 43 (br). The only stuff I can buy from them with confidence are sandals or mules. Since I want some boots, I will not order another pair now, I can find good sandals in the specialized stores in Sao Paulo. Kneehighs Thanks regarding the black pair, I like that a lot and are today the only pair of boots I have. About street heeling, I will wait sometime for the right time and place, it should not be at Sao Paulo to avoid problems at work and family. I liked your idea at Buenos Aires, I never went to Argentina and want to know the city. Thanks a lot for the tip, maybe I can plan a trip to there, now I need vacation and money :D For sure kennard and DeSalto are heroes, I was just the last to join you all. I had an idea to create a brazillian comunity but just 3 guys are too bad. We can meet here for awhile. If I find some more people maybe I can boot this up. Thanks for all your support my friend!

Thanks a lot for your encouradgement words. They are aways nice and happy to read.

    DeSalto

If you're planning to buy shoes online from www.s-shop.com.br, the models with heels that goes until 11.2cm and numbered until 43 runs smaller, aways order one size larger specially boots. If your feet are narrow you can try your correct size for sandals, never for boots. The shoes that goes until number 42 are real sized, sometimes larger. The shoes with heels up to 9cm numbered until 43 runs a bit large aways.

For all of you who wants to know, the white boots arrived and unfortunatelly didn't fit, they are too small, wasn't possible to zip up. I'll have to send 'em back for refund. I'm very sad, the boots are awesome, well made, beautiful, sexy, cheap and the 11cm heels are excelent for the shoe shape and comfort. My next custom made will for sure be 4 inch high and very very pencil stilettos.

Very sad, I loved that boots...

  12. BeHeels, welcome aboard! I have an history like yours but at the time I told my wife we were just engaged. Another thing is that I used to wear heels before I met her. Looks that you never weared high heels before. Today we go for shoe shopping toghether, she gives me a lot of support, the only thing I agree with her is that I don't need to go to the street in heels yet because of society. At home it's completely ok. Wearing heels is an experience you'll never forget, only you can know what I'm talking about when you try. Good luck!
