Yes jmc, it works! Spammers want their life easy, otherwise they would not be spammers. Data mining applications search the web following link to link exactly the way google and yahoo search engines do. Everytime that kind of program find an "@" in a page it looks for the words in the end and starts to ping and check if the server exists. If the ping is replyied it's a server and the words before the "@" should be the user. Well done, it's an e-mail address. Too easily it will be added to a large list. Of course you can change the way that program will look, for example, if it finds an "AT" BUT it's a lot more difficult since there's no standard for writing manually like an e-mail address has. You can write "meATsomewhereDOTcom" or "me AT somewhere DOT com" or in another language like portuguese "me ARROBA somewhere PONTO com" and a data mining like that is almost possible but too difficult for lazy people like spammers since there are infinite possibilities. Spammers sucks, just to fix.

The Black are custom made at Au Bottier, I went to the store here in Sao Paulo but you can buy online at http://www.aubottier.com.br It's better to call them if you like some of the styles shown because the stock is not connected to the web site.

The white are brazillian size 43 and bought online at http://www.s-shop.com.br it's the second time I buy shoes there, they are very friendly, you have several ways for payment, if the shoes don't fit you can send 'em back for refund or get another pair. This store have a lot of styles for shoes, boots, sandals, mules, etc... I think you know that.

The store is from a family that makes shoes for more then a century the same way. Because of my legs lenght, I think they needed to kill a cow to take leather for me (joking) and that's why it was very expensive.

But don't think that all made in Brazil shoes are the same. Sometimes they need to reduce the price for export and the quality can go down. It's aways better to check the shoe quality personally. There are two large shoes centers here, one is the city of Franca in Sao Paulo state and the other is Nova Friburgo in the Rio Grande do Sul state at the south of Brazil. The people from the south makes better shoes, I think. The weather is colder there and they know how to make nice boots. In Franca all they want to do is to produce a lot for the best price. Not only regular stores but custom manufacturers. I bought custom made boots twice in a store here in Sao Paulo and they was aways gentle and helpful. They took measures, showed me styles and heels possibilities, aways smiling and making good comments. The second time my wife was toghether and the salesgirl said that they like to receive people like me with the wives/gf because they know that this kind of men is happy.

I took some time to post here some images of my boots for you. These are pictures taken from the stores, later I'll send pictures of then in my feet. This topic is just to receive the opinions from people that likes shoes like these, please, feel free to send your comments, even if you don't like them.

These are the black boots I love a lot, my prefeered style. My ones are US 14 women's size, heels are 5.5 inch high, custom made and goes exactly up to my knees. These boots fit like gloves in my legs and are a bit roomy in the feet.

These ankle white boots with wood colored heels was bought yesterday in a good online store in Brazil. They were in savings and I ordered because I was looking for then for a lot of time. I just can't wait for the box to arrive, it will take about a week.

They are US 13 women's size and should be snug in the feet, heels are 4 inch and they will be my first pair this high, I think they will be high enough to feel the heels and not too much like 5.5 inch are. I'm afraid of the ankles circumference, but since they are ankle high they should close, the zippers. I had problems with boots in the past with my right ankle, it's a bit larger then the left one. Well, let's wait...

I have a pair of black sandals too, 3 inch heels, I'll have to take the picture to send to you. These sandals are mostly for comfort and I just feel that they are flat. I really don't think they are so beautiful, I need to buy some other ones in the future that are more good looking.

Well, I want to listen from you about my shoe style preference. You know that I wear then just indoors, I'm not pretending to go out yet. But I want to receive some feedback from you guys in the forum.

Good point Shafted, that must be it! Aluminiun tends to bend easier then steel but steel is much more elastic! Springs are made of steel because of it. Aluminium, once deformed, tends to stay like that. Interesting, I don't know if my heels built in metal are aluminium or steel...

hart88 I'll talk as an engineer, not shoe repairer what I'm not. Aluminium is more expensive then steel. An Audi A8 car has the body aluminium made, what makes the car lightweight, but a lot more expensive. Who buys a car like that doesn't care about the price. I really don't see any advantage of using aluminium against steel in the heels, since the quantity of aluminium spent will be the same as steel the cost will be a bit higher, the weight loss is just 1g or 2g and the resistance of bending is better in steel. Well, a question for heel makers...

kennard even beeing one point smaller then your real size the sandals appear to fit perfectly in your feet! Actually I prefer that sandals have this smaller size because the appearance in the feet are better, for example, the back part of the sole doesn't appear behind the feet, what I think is horrible. Your feet is completely covering the shoe sole, it's better. The only problem is in the front part, they can hurt your toes, but I don't think it's happening to you, is it?

You're completely right JeffB! It's not just you, there was some people in a Thread saying that they are feeling bad because they like chunky heels and even something very low. They are completely right too! This is the limit for them as 5 inch stilettos are the limit for you. Everybody has a limit and a taste. That's what I defend. Do what you want, not what other people say.

For sure it's a dream pair for me JeffB! Exactly the kind of boots I love. I'm trying to save money and go to the USA for "a shoe tour" and know another places, I only went to Florida once. I know that there are a lot of street stores selling large sizes 13 and above, what I need. I'm afraid of international shipping because of Brazillian aduana.

Dawn HH, her comment was serious!!! My wife likes colorful styles, she helps me everytime I want new colthes and men's shoes. I changed a lot after knowing her because I aways was afraid to change my image. So, my future heeled pumps should be red, or another nice color found on the store.

I was wearing my black 4 inch sandals at home today and chatting with my wife about shoes, she was wearing pink sling backs. When I talked about going shop for new shoes she said "you need a pump, you don't have one. What do you think about buying a pair of red ones???" Sincerely, it was a great idea from her, since my shoes are all black (except 2 men's ones).

My feelings when translating the text was that these "fashion fans" people only looks for what they want to be "cool". You must appear "cool" or you're out. "cool" for sure means "clothes and shoes bought on the most expensive store of your gender". For sure it doesn't happen only in Spain, but in the hole world. Spanish people are very nice for sure. But, for me, the mostly young people today are so driven by the fashion tendencies, TV, magazines, etc... no one wants to think, do what they want, make a difference... all over the world including Brazil. The translation is done, I've send it to kneehighs for english correction and final posting here. The overall replies were very negative, impressive when taken from a forum like vogue. The english speaking forum had better sensitive replies for sure. One thing may be noticed: people express bad opinions on the internet because they remain anonymous, just see how many Orkut groups are created regarding racism, homophoby and pedophily. I think is the same with us in heels, real life makes people more sensitive and even well receiving. On the net is very easy to put agressive words to any "freak" stuff, and some people feels good doing this, I just don't know why. It happens to any subject.

I'm a stiletto fan and wear it just at home. I don't even have the courage to wear block or rubber heels at the streets. I would never blame out anyone who likes block heels, wedge heels, cowgirls heels, cuban heels or even low heeled and flat women's shoes (there's a discussion about it also). I'm here to defend the freedom of choice of what you want to wear and I think that the majority of the good guys here are the same. The forum is about high heels, what I love and that's why I'm here, and I want to obtain the balls to street heeling, the forum is helping me a lot.
