  1. Past hour
  2. They are called ear clips because they clip on the ear around it folds. Like @Shyheels, they don't do much for me. But I can see potential with respect to hearing aids.
  3. Are you sure those are not elephant seals?
  4. Nothing against it. But not my cup of tea either.
  5. I'll raise my hand on that one. I was too young to do it back then. But I'm making up for lost time now. You think people are too fat in general for that to come back? I challenge you to go to any popular beach in the summer, and check out some of the women that wear bikinis. If we are fat, then they must be morbidly obese. Anything seems possible these days.
  6. Yesterday
  7. He is a cool guy indeed, I even visited with him once in Ohio, had a great time!
  8. He seemed like quite a nice guy. We corresponded a bit, but a long time ago now
  9. He retired several years ago, and sold his business. The new owner seems to have let it die a slow death. Steve's wife passed away a couple of years ago as well...
  10. They don’t do much for me, I have to say
  11. Another totally random comment, but what do you guys, and our one gal, think about these earrings/earclips? I don't know what to properly call them. Worn in real life by one of my female friends. My personal opinion is still not completely settled.
  12. Steve Madden actually surprises you sometimes. As it is stupidly cold here for the next few days, I will not be submitting any photographs, but I've actually purchased some new Steve Madden shoes recently. While those particular boots are not really my cup of tea, I do like the look of a close fitting knee boot. Believe it or don't.
  13. Definitely guilty as charged. I was on the high school tennis team in the 1980s, and we all wore shorts of that length. Not to put too fine a point on it, but I think we are all too fat in general for that style to ever come back. So I guess it's me and you and Cali. And maybe a few others.
  14. Yes, I remember him. It’s been a long time since I heard from him
  15. Some still do!
  16. If you remember one of our members Steve, from Ohio sold men's panty hose as a business. I have several pairs of his panty hose. I really like them very much with the built in fly. I don't know whatever happened to him as I have not heard from him in over a year. Happy Heeling, bluejay
  17. Just got my newest Steve Madden knee boots. It's a perfect calf size for my legs.I'll put a link in for those boots Can't copy the link. Steve Madden "Twain" in grey suede color Happy Heeling, bluejay
  18. Yes, we did. Not a fashion I look back on with any longing.
  19. Fashions definitely come and go. Some stick, and some don't. And everything seems to come back at some point. What's old is new again, is what they usually say. I forgot that in the 70's men wore short shorts. When is that coming back?
  20. Last week
  21. Always loved go go boots, and remember being mesmorized by them as a kid. Would really love a good quality pair today for sure.
  22. I have the same issue, but have never actually measured my calves, too embarrassing I guess...
  23. An instant swipe left.
  24. I know what you mean. Sock boots never appealed to me in the least
  25. The only reason that I sort of care is because, well, I'm going to need some higher heels. As you know, I have quite a number of heels in the 11 cm range, but only one pair that is really wearable in public that is 12 cm, and I think that pair is kind of ugly, mainly because of the design of the toe. Also, if I wear anything but skinny jeans, it looks like I have no feet. At any rate, it looks like I have two remaining options: Fuss Schuhe and this outfit called the Highest Heels that keeps showing up on my Instagram feed. Or the designer route, but I don't really want to pay that kind of money. I'm willing to pay a couple hundred bucks for the right shoes, but not a thousand. For that kind of money, I'll buy another obscure musical instrument. Did I ever show you my early 20th century Conn cornet?
  26. I actually have some boots that are sort of like that, maybe not quite as sock-like, but a similar idea. I wore them exactly once, and never again. I do have photographic evidence, submitted for you here. I'm not saying they don't fit, I'm not even saying they don't look ok on me, I'm just saying I don't like them.
  27. I am not sure if this is to anyone's or everyone's tastes, style-wise, but this might work for some with smaller calf sizes? These are not for everyone, I know, but I was curious if anyone has seen them on here. Seems quite an ingenious way to get over-the-knee boots to fit properly. Sorry for the link, but I looked everywhere for the video itself and could not find it. https://pin.it/MwnRzOFLh
  28. Andre Courreges, the designer who introduced the go-go boot was heavily influenced by the space age and the futurism and optimism that came with it - a far cry from the cynicism of today. That’s why I dint think they can return, except as a kind of self conscious tribute to a bygone age
